Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Greta came from our partner rescue in Louisiana and arrived in a NJ foster home on 1/10. Greta is about six months old and is ready for a fresh start with a family of her own. She and her brother Greg were part of a group of puppies and adult dogs who were being sold online before they were ultimately dumped and brought to a shelter. Despite her rough beginning, Greta is a gentle and promising young dog with so much potential. Greta appears to have more Chihuahua traits than her brother, including a shorter, less dense coat. She is on the timid side and takes a little time to feel comfortable, but she is very smart and observant. With patience and kindness, she quickly begins to understand routines and expectations. She would do best in a home with another confident dog who can help show her the ropes, though she is capable of learning on her own with steady guidance. Greta is looking for a calm, supportive home where she can continue building confidence and learning what it means to feel safe. If you are willing to give her the time she needs, Greta will reward you with quiet loyalty and a growing bond that is truly special. Greta is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm.  Greta has been spayed/neutered and has a microchip. His/Her adoption fee is $550.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Greg is a STUNNING boy who is looking for a forever home. He came from our partner rescue in Louisiana and arrived in a NJ foster home on 1/10.   Greg was found with his sister Greta, 2 six-month old mystery furballs who started out being listed on Craigslist as "husky-chihuahua mixes". Greg is the kind of pup that makes you stop and stare- those icy blue eyes and that soft, plush coat are show stopping,  He doesn't have the full husky coat, but he's got the intelligence and curiosity that huskies are famous for. Greg's still gaining confidence, so he would love a home with another friendly pup to show him the ropes- but with a little patience, he learns fast on his own too   Greg is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He tested negative for heartworm.   His  adoption fee is $550.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
Drea is an 8 yr old female Husky. She is a very sweet and well behaved dog. She is not a barker or anything like that. The quietest dog I have ever seen actually. This was my father's dog who is unable to care for her since his wife passed away and his health issues. I know they rescued her in NC but his ex wife is trying to take care of her at the moment and has asked me to reach out for adoption. My parents are both almost 80 and Drea pulls her sometimes when she walks her. They had a doggie door where she let herself out to go where he lived in NC but here in NJ we are in a condo and she has had accidents while we were out so we started putting paper down but will let you know if she needs to go. We feel she needs someone with a fenced in yard and that can give her a lot of attention, like a companion or buddy. She is very mellow and is used to a quiet home with adults. I have updated this that she is just scared of kids and chaos. All of her paperwork is with her as well.

Story
Blitz, Husky, White, Male neutered, 1 year old Blitz is a friendly boy who loves attention!  He is very playful and enjoys playing with toys.  Blitz would benefit from a family that is familiar with his breed and has the time to continue to provide training.  He may be selective with his doggy companions but does need a home without cats.  He would do best in a home with children over the age of 10 years old.    **This dog is at the Ocean County Animal Facility North located at 615 Fremont Ave, Jackson NJ (off of Hope Chapel Rd).  All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have age appropriate shots.** To adopt our dogs you must come to the facility with your entire family, including dogs, to meet with our staff and the dog you are interested in. We are open to the public seven days a week between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.   Please call our facility at 732-657-8086 for more information about any of our pets! January 14, 2026, 12:03 pm
