Story
I've been fostering Trixie for 3 months now. She's a beautiful dog with a great personality! Trixie is very energetic & intelligent. She is friendly with every person & dog that she meets. However, I would not recommend she be placed in a home with children under 14 as she can be temperamental with people who make quick or unexpected movements towards her ??. She can be mouthy when playing, but she is easily corrected??? She does have some trust issues, but they dissipate as she gets to know you ??. Trixie does have a tendency to be food-possessive, and I have not been able to break her of that. (We recommend continued training & research for these behaviors ??) She knows several commands, & she is an excellent walker on the leash. She does need a home that has a fenced-in backyard or a dog park nearby as she does have A LOT of energy which is typical for her breed. I would recommend exercising her 4 to 5 times a week. She was a little picky about her food, but now she seems to like anything I give her. She loves riding in the car and enjoys Rita's icees...lol" This is the list of commands that I have taught her so far:sit + stay + down + wait + let's go + this way + leave it + kennel + come + give + fetch." ???? Trixie appears to be enjoying her time in foster care, but she truly needs to find an adopter who can be patient, loving, & willing to provide consistent training. If you are interested in being her new favorite human(s), submit your application today?????

Story
This is the third husky I’ve had, wonderful dog and amazing breed. He is a purebred dog from a line that has been bred since the 1950’s so he’s 100% husky. The issuei am having is my role has changed for work, and I am now required to travel 90% of the time. He’s not getting the attention, work, or love he needs and I don’t want to continue to have to board him, as he has anxiety when it’s too long. He loves people, dogs, kids, and just about everything except maybe small outdoor creatures. He’s all up to date on shots, heartworm, flea and tick prevention. When I’m able he gets 5 good walks a day, and tug and play time at home. He has attended some daycare to socialize and also socializes on walks. He’d be very good as himself or part of a pack.

Meet brother and sister Mackie and Minnow. They are 3-month-old Great Pyrenees and Husky mixes. They currently weigh 14-20 pounds and are expected to mature to 60-70 pounds. Mackie wears a long, dark tan and cream coat. Minnow wears a long, light tan and cream coat. These pups are very gentle and get along wonderfully with other dogs! Mackie and Minnow are both very laid back and calm, making them the perfect addition to any home! Adopt Mackie or Minnow and let them fill your life with warmth and tranquility! (ME, 7/16/2024)**It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption fee: $395 covers quarantine, shots, worming, medical records, spaying/neutering, microchip, and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed is $160. We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip.
