Story
Puma's Key Attributes: Loving, Adventurous, Silly, Outgoing Summary: Puma is a friendly, energetic, affectionate, and snuggly fella. He enjoys playing with toys and loves to play fetch. Puma thrives with regular exercise, including a daily park excursion with sniffing and exploring; he loves investigating the woods/streams/fields. Puma also likes to just lounge around in the yard and soak up the sun. Puma really enjoys being with his people, including laying in your lap like a cat, but he also does very well alone in his own room. He is currently living in a foster home and house-trained. Other Dogs: Puma loves other dogs and is a bit obnoxious at first due to his excitement. He will do best with slow, well-managed introductions with other dogs that handle his antics in a playful but stern manner. Once Puma relaxes a bit, he is an enjoyable walking buddy and playmate for other dogs. He would also do great as a solo-pup in the household. Self-Entertainment Activities Puma Enjoys: Food Puzzles, Chews/Bones, Squeaky Toys, Stuffies, Cardboard Boxes, Empty Plastic Bottles Background: Puma was found as a stray in Philadelphia in November 2023. His finders learned that was too enthusiastic about their cats, so he was taken to Philly ACCT. Puma was adopted for about a month, but the newborn baby in the home was allergic to him, so he was returned to ACCT in late December 2023. Puma was timestamped for euthanasia, so Northern Exposure Siberian Husky Rescue welcomed him into their foster-based rescue on 12/30/23. More Puma Photos & Videos on Northern Exposure Siberian Husky Rescue's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/share/i4AVsK4J2XhLRvg1/?mibextid=qi2Omg Requirements: Potential adopters must live in NJ, PA, MD, DE, or Long Island NY; NESHR volunteers handle all transportation. Puma will need a tall fenced in yard. Siberian husky experience is also required. No kitty housemates. Adoption Application: neshr.org/adoption-application/ PLEASE INQUIRE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS FABULOUS BOY.

Story
Meet Aiden, a gorgeous 3-year-old Siberian Husky who is heartbroken after being surrendered to us. His family could no longer afford to care for him, and now he’s missing them deeply. This sweet boy lived with a 5-year-old child and is wonderful with kids and good with other dogs. But please, no cats for Aiden. Huskies are known for their playful spirits, but they come with challenges. Aiden needs a special home—one with Husky experience, a secure fenced yard, and understanding of their vocal and escape-artist tendencies. Apartments aren’t for him, and neither are homes without sturdy fences. He craves love and affection and adores giving hugs, but his eyes tell the story of loss. Aiden is still looking for that place to call home again. Please help us make his stay with us as short as possible. If you can't adopt, please share to help this sweet boy find his forever family.*Per JSAC policy, puppies and kittens under 6 months will not be adopted to families with children under the age of 6 years.October 4, 2024, 3:15 pm

UPDATE ON PICKLES THE COURTESY POST HUSKY MIX. Contact by text 732 546 8805 and your information will be forwarded to Pickles' owner. Apply at rescueridge.com once you text. "Pickles is doing great.  Now one year old.  He is a neutered Husky/Shephard mix (mostly Husky), according to the vet.  He loves to play to get all his energy out, so a fenced-in yard is best for him, but he is currently trained on an electric fence.   He has a girlfriend and just loves all other dogs he meets.  He has never been with cats so do not know how he will react.  Pickles has been receiving training and hopes someone will continue it.  He’s great with all people of all ages and children.  The kennel where he goes to daily where he loves to play, the woman said he’s a fabulous dog.  Just has lots of energy and needs a companion.  However, he is very strong.  His problem is getting out of cars as something had to have happened to him in the past.  Could be he was dropped off at several locations when he was a puppy  Pickles needs a playmate to keep him busy and help him run all day.  He does run on his own, but he tends to get bored quickly.  He’s very smart and always wants to please.  If you or anyone you know is interested in this sweet, loving puppy, please contact me.  My sister is walking with a cane and he’s too much for her to handle on her own.  She needs a therapy dog who is older." Pickles is a courtesy post. Please fill out an application at rescueridge.com   and your information will be sent to his family who needs to rehome him. located in Monmouh County, NJ. Here is the information from his family:"Loves people of all ages and wants to be with you and play. He loves other dogs but not sure about cats so I say no cats. He is about 1 year old now. According to the vet, he’s a Mix. He’s Husky/Stafford Pit and perhaps Shepherd. Short hair dog. He would be great with other dogs so he can play. Knows "Sit" and "Paw." Needs room to run around. The only reason my sister needs to find him a home is because he jumps. My sister is on a cane and not sturdy. She has fallen and can no longer take chances that she will get hurt badly. He may need some training in that area. He does know some commands. He has been in a kennel but not in crate. He has gone to someone’s house who house sits about 6 dogs or so at a time. He loved it and the woman had no issues with him. He played all the time with the other dogs and even her two great Danes. I would say he’s high-energy type. He has a fear of cars, getting into a car, because he was dumped a few times by previous owner who did not take the time to be with him and dumped him on his ex who then did not want him either." Please apply to help this dog-friendly, sweet young pup find the right family to love him. Please text 732 546 8805 to let us know you applied and we will alert his owner. .Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 4, 2024, 11:23 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Fallon (fallonq@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Francine is a beautiful pup who is looking for a home. Francine is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved applicants. Francine came into our partner shelter as a cruelty case. She and two other pups were kept in some kind of kennel or pen and were very skinny and dirty and all have flatter feet like dogs get from being in a crate/on a grate too long. They were living in horrible conditions but our girl Francine is making a beautiful recovery. Francine is doing great in her foster home. She loves kids and was friendly with other dogs. She did chase the kitty but didn't try to hurt him. An active person or family and/or fenced yard is probably best. Francine will be fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon!
