Story
Here's what my shelter friends said about me: "Bombom is such beautiful girl and looks like a miniature Husky. She took a little while to coax out of the kennel, but once she came out she was rearing to go. We did stop to assist andother scared female out of her kennel; however, it wasn't super successful and he other dog ended up being needing to be carried out. Once outside she did her business immediately. She was quite timid and kept stopping and laying down. We ended up putting Bombom and friend Darling together in the same run as we were hoping that Bombom would help Darling come out of her shell. For awhile they came together and Bombom really opened up while in the run. She loves pets and eating treats. She could use a good bath and once she gets one she will sparkle even more. Weirdly, her friend that we had to carry out, walked perfect back to the kennel and Bombom was opposite and had to be carried back to her kennel. My guess is she wasn't loving the idea of going back inside."

Story
Loki is a sweet, but shy husky, who was surrendered to us after his mom had a health event and was no longer able to care for him. Loki is good with other dogs, as well as cats and kids. We recommend severaly days of decompression time with any new animal in the home, followed by a very slow introduction over the course of a few days. Loki is hoping to find his forever home, where he is loved and cherished like he deserves. Please consider putting an applicaiton in for him! If you already have an applicaiton on file, please send our fb page a message asking to assign him to you. Applications are good for 1 year after submission.  ##2093842##

Story
Hello everyone! My name is Ocean! I am a female, 4.5 month old, husky.   I am your typical husky in a lot of ways! (If you know, you know!) My foster mom says I am SUPER SMART... and super goofy!!! I know sit & shake so far, plus I sit nicely when you grab my leash and put it on. I also don't pull on the leash much, but still could use some training! I love playing with my foster siblings, splashing in the kiddie pool, chasing the chickens, and chewing on moose antlers! I'll talk at you sometimes too, and you can be certain you'll be getting kisses!    I am working on a few things still-- those being potty training and crate training! I potty outside sometimes but if I'm inside and gotta go, I'll have an accident here and there! My foster mom says I gotta go outside so I've been trying real hard to learn! She says I'm doing better each day! I don't love my crate, but after a day of having all my needs met, I go in quietly and fall asleep quick, straight through the night! I've also been sleeping with my foster parents in bed and have been doing ao good with that too!   And so far, I haven't chewed on anything I'm not supposed to! My foster mom says that's huge for my breed (whatever that means!) but I am plenty happy with antlers & toys. I am intrigued by the cats, but if they hiss, I back away and respect their boundaries.   My previous owner tried her best, but couldn't provide me the life I need. So she did the right thing and surrendered me to this cool rescue!    Due to me being a husky, my furever family will need to have a few things:   breed experience plans for proper stimulation & exercise for my breed a fenced in yard, preferably 6' but not necessary (I haven't tried anything yet but who knows when I'm bigger!) a dog sibling playmate!!! a kiddie pool (literally my favorite thing ever!!)   My breed is going to require dedication, and I am not good for first time dog owners! I need activity and structure please & thank you!!   If you're interested in adopting me, you can apply at www.crossyourpaws.com   KLN 16814 ##2099459##

Story
Hey! Do you have previous husky experience? Meet me! I'm Prince! I might not live in a castle anymore, but I sure hope I do one day. At 8 years old, I've had a lot of experiences in life and I'm ready to have a few more! I walk well on a harness and love to meet new people. However, when it comes to other dogs, no thank you! I may sometimes get a little bit TOO excited or anxious but I am easily redirected with treats or stuffies. As an older lad, I've got some health concerns with my joints, my teeth and my ears. I was diagnosed with Lyme disease but as of now I have no symptoms! The medical staff taking care of me would be happy to talk to you about all my quirks before adopting. Come say hello to royalty and take me home today! Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Northside- 1101 Western Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15233 Kennel License #- 1121
