Story
Meet Mingo! This sweet and affectionate 2-year-old girl weighs in at 47 lbs and is ready to share her love with her forever family. Mingo is full of puppy energy and joy, and she loves to give the best full-body hugs—she’ll wrap herself around you like a big, warm teddy bear! Though she’s still learning boundaries, she’s incredibly friendly and wants to play with everyone, even if they don’t quite understand her enthusiasm. Mingo is crate and house trained, and she gets along well with both dogs and cats. She rides well in the car and is happy to join you on adventures. At home, she’s your loyal shadow, always ready to snuggle and shower you with affection. She may be shy in public, but once she’s in a safe and loving environment, Mingo transforms into a playful, curious pup who’s always on the lookout for new things to explore—whether it’s chasing after critters in the yard or digging holes to find them! Mingo is eager to please and easy to redirect. She already knows how to sit and is learning more every day. She’s the perfect companion for someone who wants an affectionate, energetic dog who loves to have fun and snuggle just as much. Mingo has completed heartworm treatment and she’s ready to jump into your life and fill your heart with joy!

Story
Meet Alaska! Alaska is around 1 year old and 51lb. This adoptable pup is a pro in the crate, falling asleep within minutes. Alaska loves to play, especially with bones, toys, puzzles, and cardboard boxes. She enjoys mental enrichment activities more than physical exercise, and thrives on snuffle mats. Alaska enjoys playing and going for daily walks as a medium energy pup. She adores pets and will stop everything for some love and attention. With a strong prey drive, Alaska loves chasing birds and squirrels, as well as exhibiting typical husky behaviors like howling and hiding bones. Although fully potty trained, Alaska could use some work on her manners and may not be the best fit for households with little kids due to her exuberant tendencies when excited. However, she gets along well with other dogs and is ready to find her forever home with a loving family.

Story
adoption donation : $650 weight 35 lbs Age 5 months as of 4/20   Helena and her sisters Harriet and Hattie are adorable puppies who may be husky mixes but are most definitely adorable, friendly and sweet girls! They are having a grand time in his foster home, romping and playing at Wags and snuggling together in a big puppy pile to nap. Harriet and Helena look practically identical, Hattie is the blond. Their brother Henry has already been adopted.  The puppies were found by a truck driver in a rural part of Mississippi, abandoned in a deserted field. Two of the siblings had already sadly passed away. The driver gathered up the remaining pups and brought them to Wags. Since then, the three girls have thrived, getting the vet care, food and vaccines that they need. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs. They are also very mellow! They like to run and play outside but at home they are couch potatoes!  Hattie, Helena and Harriet are currently in Mississippi and would love to board the transport anytime in the next couple of weeks and head to the northeast! These darling girls are ready to give sloppy kisses to the lucky family who adopts him. Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay neuter. For more information on adopting any of our Wags dogs please email mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com              April 16, 2025, 7:16 pm
