Story
Please meet Toby, a strikingly handsome purebred Husky. Toby and his little family (Nova and their puppies) were recently surrendered to PK. He is 3 years old and weighs 77 lbs. Toby is such a nice boy and very friendly. He’s housetrained and was trusted to roam free when left alone in his prior home. Toby’s good with other dogs and has experience with kids, even very young ones. He can be kitty-tested if requested. While the puppies will be adopted out separately, Toby and Nova are close and we will give preference to adopters who are willing to adopt both together. Apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info. Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Lumi is a vibrant young husky mix with a sparkling personality and a heart full of adventure. At just under a year old and 38 pounds, she’s the perfect size to join you on life’s journeys, whether that’s a scenic hike, a playful afternoon in the yard, or a cozy evening relaxing together. Lumi has a wonderful medium energy level, happily running and playing when it’s time for fun, then settling into a calm, peaceful companion when the day winds down. Her playful spirit shines brightest when she has a ball to chase or a dog friend to romp with. Lumi absolutely loves fetch and will proudly bring her favorite toys to share, always ready for the next round of fun. She also has the charming “husky talk” and striking two different eye colors that make her truly unforgettable. Her goofy antics, joyful enthusiasm, and expressive personality bring laughter and warmth wherever she goes. Lumi enjoys car rides, walks beautifully on leash, and bonds deeply with her people. She’s affectionate, loyal, and thrives when included as part of the family. She would do especially well in an active home where she can enjoy regular exercise, outdoor adventures, and continued positive training to help her reach her full potential. Lumi will require close supervision in the yard as true to her Husky nature; she is prone to escape to go explore.  With her intelligence, playful heart, and loving nature, Lumi is ready to become someone’s devoted companion and best friend for years to come. Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, March 7th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. March 3, 2026, 11:22 am

Story
Fen has spent far too many days watching the world from the end of a chain. When his owner moved away, this 6-year-old Lab/Husky mix was left behind on a lonely tie-out at an empty house, cared for only by kind neighbors who refused to let him be forgotten. They shared that Fen once lived indoors, but as his owner’s health declined, Fen’s life slowly shrank to neglect and isolation. Despite it all, Fen’s heart remains wide open.   This sweet boy is full of gentle enthusiasm and gratitude for every bit of attention. The moment he’s free to stretch his legs, Fen lights up — he loves to run, play, and feel the joy of simply being a dog again. He already knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and shows just how smart and willing he is to listen and learn. Fen wants so badly to connect with people; he leans in for affection like he’s been saving up years of love to give.   Because he’s been forced to live outside for so long, he may need a little patience while relearning house manners and routine — but he’s had a home before, and he’s eager to understand again. Fen is currently underweight, a visible reminder of how he’s been failed, but also a hopeful sign of how much better his future can be with someone who truly cares.   Fen isn’t broken. He’s loving, loyal, and ready to bloom in the hands of a family who will never leave him behind again. All he needs now is a warm place to land, steady meals, and the promise that he’ll always belong.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 20, 2026, 9:56 pm

Story
Introducing Wheeler – the boy who steals hearts everywhere he goes! This 1 year old, 40-pound German Shepherd/Husky mix is as smart as he is handsome. Wheeler has already mastered sit and shake with both paws and became fully housebroken in just one week with his foster family. He’s crate trained, learning to walk well on a leash, and eager to soak up everything that’s taught to him.  This boy with the amazing smile and wonderful ears knows how to steal hearts.  Wheeler is a social butterfly who loves everyone—kids, adults, dogs, and even cats. In fact, he’s convinced the cats in his foster home need constant “baths,” which he happily provides with endless affection. He also enjoys curling up in a lap, whether it belongs to a person or another pup. This sweet boy needs company in his life.   Another companion dog would make him happy and feel secure along with a family that has someone home alot. This all is due to the hard past that started when Wheeler was a puppy. He and his brother were abandoned, and he was found underweight and limping from what turned out to be an old hip injury—likely caused by a car or a blow to his leg.  It was fractured but never set to heal correctly by a vet.  It healed on its own and doesnt bother him, but he’ll always have a slight limp.  Dont feel sorry about that because it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He runs and plays like nothing ever happened, a joyful reminder of his resilient spirit. He needs a fenced yard so he can get all his energy out daily. What makes this particular boy so special isn’t just his good looks or intelligence—it’s his kind heart. He’s grateful for every bit of love and safety he’s found in rescue, and he’s ready to give that love right back to the family lucky enough to call him their own.  If Wheeler sounds like the perfect match for your family, please email ccrnewengland@gmail.com. This incredible boy is waiting to meet his forever people, and we know you’ll be smitten from the very first hello. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 6, 2026, 1:17 am
