Story
Kenny! Kenny and his sister Dolly(posted separately) are some sort of husky mix puppies that are around 3 months old. Both have these striking blue eyes and are as cute and sweet as they come. Kenny is more timid than Dolly, letting her take the lead, but we have no doubt that once he is adopted and bonds with his new family he will gain some confidence and come out of his shell further. Kenny is good with other dogs and would make an excellent canine sibling, or could be your one and only. He is looking for a family who is willing to focus on training a young puppy, including basic manners and housebreaking. Kenny is neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and will be microchipped. He is also up to date on deworming and preventatives. Interested? Please go to www.dogtownrescue.org to complete an online adoption application.

Story
AVAILABLE for ADOPTION! MEET YENNY! This approx. 2-year-old girl is a pretty blue-eyed Husky mix. She came to DVSHR via a shelter. Yenny is still very much a puppy and has a lot of energy. She knows basic commands and walks well on a leash but does get distracted by wildlife and other dogs. She corrects easily most of the time, but her forever home will need to continue her training. Yenny is a wonderful one-on-one dog and she also does well with other dogs. She plays ALL the time, so a family that is at home and can dedicate time to her, or has a canine sibling to match her energy level, will help her. She does love to play rough and can occasionally get aggressive with older dogs, so a younger one would be best. No cats for this girl. When you step out the door for a walk, she can tug at her leash, but will let go when told, “Off” and it is time for a walk. She does jump up on people, but again, corrects easily when you tell her “Off.” Her forever home will need to continue her training. Yenny has not tried to jump fences, but has jumped over a 3 ft baby gate. Yenny will keep a watchful eye on her home and let you know when someone is walking by or is at your door. Yenny has been around children over five years old and has done well with them. Yenny is very affectionate and loving. Her funniest thing? When she is excited, she walks on 2 legs and crosses her paws real fast. Yenny enjoys baths, belly rubs, and playing fetch. She gives "high-fives'' and is adorable when trotting around with her bone in her mouth. Yenny is a wonderful dog who just wants to love and to be loved. She is very loyal and will make a fantastic family pup. Are you possibly her new family?! Apply to adopt Yenny today!
