Story
Meet Piper. 5.5-6 yrs old. She’s been fully vetted and is ready for adoption. Piper came from a local shelter as a stray. Her medical has been lengthy and expensive as she went through heartworm treatment and had entropian surgery for one of her eyes. That’s where they fix the eyelashes from rolling inward and scratching the eye causing it to weep from irritation. She’s all healthy and feeling great. Piper is sweet, playful and mostly obedient. She is completely housebroken. Though Piper likes to play with other dogs she needs to be in a no other dog home since she resource guards her food. She would just love having a person she can snuggle on the couch with. We had Piper DNA’d and she is 50/50 smooth collie & husky. You may apply for Piper at https://houstoncollierescue.org/ado.../adoption-application/We adopt anywhere in Texas, OKC and Louisiana.

Story
Sweet Louise has come a long way since joining her foster family at TSDR! She started out quite scared of humans, and would hide in the back of her crate if someone came near her. Now, she she loves the couch potato life and naps on the bed with her foster siblings! She is finally starting to enjoy being cuddled and loved on, but only when SHE feels like it! She is not a fan of walking on a leash, but she is dog friendly, crate trained, and house trained with a dog door. She is even happy to share her toys with the other dogs in her foster home. Louise is looking for a patient furever family who can help her continue her journey to trust humans and enjoy her life as a house pup!

Story
Hi, I’m TSDRs Salt, a goofy handsome boy. I’m a dogs dog. I love playing with my foster fur siblings and spending time in the great outdoors. I’ve been through quite a lot in life that’s why I can be timid and shy at first. While it takes patience I do come around. I’m looking for a furever family, preferably one that can give me some fur siblings! I’m full of energy and life so I’m looking for a family that’s the same! Likes: Dogs Women Outdoors Playtime Cuddles Sleeping in the bed Dislikes: Masculine Men Loud noises

Story
TSDRs Tucker2 was transferred back to a foster home after “working” at our boarding facility. After he was returned from his last failed adoption he went to our board-n-train for additional training. He graduated and became one of the star pupils who they used for training and socializing new dogs that came in from other rescues for training and/or evaluation. He is doing well back at the house and loves playing with foster siblings Alex and Alita. He is house and crate trained. He is a strong willed and smart husky that needs an experienced owner (no first time owners) who will continue to give him structure and guidance or he will likely regress to being a brat again! He is a sweet boy and has matured since his early days. He prefers a home with no young kids! He’s also not a fan of having his paws messed with (including nail trims). He listens well and is good with correction.
