Story
Hi, I'm Banjo a fun loving active young Siberian Husky/Lab mix.  I was found as a stray and I'm looking forward to my very own forever family.  I'm presently living with a family and using a crate at night and when my family leaves the house.  I'm a Husky and I love to run and play and if I get out I'm ready to explore the world so I'll need a family with a secure yard and no small children who may leave a door or a gate open for me to get out.  No apartments or town-homes, please.  I'm presently living with dogs and doing fine. My foster says I'm responding quickly to being in a house and a loving environment and enjoying my training.   I love playing in the pool, jumping and retrieving my football out of the pool with my foster's grandkids and the dog from next door.  Maybe we could go to the next level and do some dock diving!!  I also enjoy my walks on a leash so how about a walking or jogging buddy! I'm ready to go when you are!!!! If you are interested in me, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com to get more information on how to fill out an application and have a great meet and greet to see if we are a match made in heaven.  Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old.  A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies. All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas.   September 17, 2024, 9:11 am

Story
Minnie Mouse is a friendly and affectionate young dog who is on the lookout for a forever home where she can receive lots of love and affection. Minnie is a very curious dog who is always eager to play and explore. She is a very friendly dog who enjoys meeting new people, she gets along with other dogs and cats.  There are no children at her foster's house, so not sure about children but probably would do best with children old enough to know to not leave doors or gates open so she wouldn't go exploring on her own.  She would benefit from owners who are familiar with the breed. Minnie Mouse is an adorable dog who is young and healthy (completed heartworm treatment and as good as new) and ready to find a home where she can settle in and begin to make memories.   f you are interested in her, please send an email to SCP at scpdogworld@gmail.com! Applications can be found on our website at www.secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to us for review! Adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. Hello, I'm Polo! My days are filled with wagging tails and friendly barks. I love meeting new people, they always make my tail wag faster! I've been told I have a heart full of sweetness and a personality that could brighten anyone's day. I adore playing fetch and I can't resist a good belly rub. I've made many friends here, both two-legged and four-legged. But I dream of a family to call my own, a place where I can share my love and affection. Adopt me, and I promise to fill your life with joy, laughter, and unconditional love.

Story
Looking to rehome together! Rook(male/6yrs/tan) and Knight(female/5yrs/black) are both fixed husky mixes, with current vaccines, and no known health issues. They are furry balls of energy and require daily exercise and regular grooming. They are both house and crate trained and obedience trained. They must be adopted together to a home that has a yard. They would be ok with other dogs, but not cats. Rook prefers to recline and cuddle indoors and Knight enjoys spending time outside playing. They are the perfect example of Ying and Yang!

Story
Charlie is a wonderful dog, unfortunately our cocker spaniel does not agree and is aggressive towards him. Charlie loves to play, he really should have a home with another/other dog(s) that will play with him. Ours will not. He loves the dog park and walks. He is strong and needs someone who can handle him on walks as he does initially pull. Once he gets some energy out he relaxes and walks really well. He is very vocal like a Husky, he talks and barks but responds well to a bark collar which would come with him. He loves kids and would do well in a home with them. He loves to sit on the couch and in the bed so he’s a great companion as well. We really just want to see him go to a home where his fur sibling(s) will accept, love and play with him. He’s so desires and is deserving of that!

Story
Blanco is such a sweet goofy boy who loves to rip and run outside, but sadly I dont have a yard for him to run around in. Where I live dogs arent allowed outside without a leash and I hate to keep him inside all the time. He loves to go on walks but he HATES toy’s especially the squeaky ones. We adopted him from an animal shelter in 2023 and he was around 5 months when he got him so he is about a year and 8 months. I am currently moving soon and I want him to have a good home where he can run around and have friends to play with he’s really sweet but also a shy baby and as you can see from the photo he has one light blueish eye and one brown and I think it’s the cutest thing !
