Synonyms for Diva: starlet, leading lady, prima Donna, Keyana. Keyana may not have had the best start in life but this 2 year old Husky mix gal is looking for the best rest of her life. If you are looking for your favorite gal pal to trail run or run the Netflix, this is your gal. Imagine BFF vibes but also a little back talk to keep you in your place. Keyana needs firm boundaries but not a firm hand. She talks back and may redirect when scooted the wrong way, though she is a people pleaser and just wants affirmation. If you want to go to the bathroom by yourself this definitely is not your dog. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes, unknown on cats. She truly just wants to be included but is definitely still working on her manners. Keyana is spayed and up to date on all vaccines. She is also house and crate trained. Come on down and meet this leading lady!Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Keyana's adoption fee is $200. Story
Maverick is a 2yr old husky mix who weighs about 45 lbs (He even had his DNA done!). His favorite things are squeaky toys, bones, treats, and playing with his doggie friends. He really likes to chase things, so a home with cats might not be a great fit. Maverick loves kids and would do well in a home with older, dog-savvy kids....he is still young and may accidentally knock a little one over when he is playing. He uses the dog door at his foster-mom's house and is house and kennel trained. Maverick loves to be with you wherever you go and is he always up for adventure! Mav will do well in training classes and would be great at agility….he is very food motivated and eager to learn. This little guy is an amazing dog and will be the best buddy you could ever have!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Luca’s been with me since he was a 9 week old puppy. He’s so incredibly sweet and loves attention from people. He’s very smart but he’s a very high energy dog and needs a lot of regular exercise. I have a really busy schedule which means he spends a lot of time alone in our small house without a yard. Sadly that means all of his energy gets pent up and has been leading to “behavioral issues”, which I know is from not getting enough exercise. I suffer from pretty bad anxiety and don’t know how to stay calm, and remain patient when he gets hyper and doesn’t listen to me in public. I’ve tried what feels like everything to train him in the last 4 years but I think my anxiety and his high energy might just not be compatible. It breaks my heart to not be the person he needs, but he needs an extremely loving and patient home who would be willing to train him. I truly believe I’ve created anxiety in him that he now needs help in healing. Please contact me for more information. ❤️

Story
Chief is about 8 1/2 years old. We’ve had him for nearly 7 years. He is honestly the most amazing dog. He has definitely slowed down in the past couple years but he still loves to go skiing and hiking with us or just hangout in the backyard. We are trying to rehome him to someone who has the time and desire to be with him more often. Our family is growing and we are finding less and less time to spend with him. He has only been an outside dog with a large fenced backyard. He is extremely gentle and fun with our kids. He rarely barks and he gets along well with other people and dogs.

Story
Say hello to Kody, a 2-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix, weighing about 48 pounds. Kody was surrendered by his previous owner. Kody had been an outdoor dog and was very timid and fearful of people, refusing to join his foster brothers and sisters inside the house. In just a few days, Kody started coming out of his shell, showing his foster family the fun-loving, playful, chatty, young dog he is today. Kody will approach a stranger wagging his big thick hairy tail but will back up if they reach to touch him. It appears he may have been abused. He will also run and sit by the back door when the other dogs are barking at something or there are loud noises or sounds outside. After a few days of going in and out of the house with his foster brothers and sisters, Kody became comfortable inside and now wants to be inside with his foster family. Kody is a true gentleman inside and was fully house trained in less than a week. When he wants to go out, he will sit at the door and talk, not bark. He is great with other dogs large and small. Kody loves to play. He has two foster cat brothers who are very dog savvy. He will sniff/lick them. He ignores them most of the time. But when the two cats play, he wants to join and will chase them, only because they run. Kody is good with children and has been around a child as young as 2. Kody is a very happy dog. Kody would fit well as a second dog of an active family, who knows about this energetic talkative breed. Kody has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and has been microchipped. You can visit at the Salt Lake PetSmart (1830 South 380 West) the third Saturday of each month from 11-2.
