Story
I'm Twister! I'm glad to meet you!! Like my name indicates, I'm a young man on the move - I'm a bit nervous about the great, big world we live in - I might be timid with other people and dogs at first - but once I meet you, I am ready to play! I'll need a home that's ready for an active dog, and I likely need kiddos that are 12 and older so I don't knock them over out of excitement. They don't know a lot about me at the shelter, but I am a playful guy who needs a human who's ready for fun, goofy craziness in their life. With some training, I'm your go-to for smiles and activities! Pick me!! Primary Color: White Weight: 47.2 Age: 1yrs 0mths 4wks

I have never met an activity I did not like! If you love exercise and keeping active, then we will be fast friends. I will go for a run in the morning, a hike in the afternoon, play fetch in the evening, and unwind with some play at home before bed - and I would love nothing more than to have someone who can keep up with me. It is important that I have an outlet for my boundless energy, so let us get together and explore the outdoors! Primary Color: White Weight: 73 Age: 1yrs 8mths 3wks

Story
My name is Aj, I am a 2 year old male American Husky. I came to the shelter as a stray so not much is known about my past. My favorite hobby is exploring! I am a curious, smart dog and I love to learn new things about the world around me. I would love to have a job to do or learn some new tricks to give my mind something to work on. I do not shy away from novel situations and if you can keep me mentally and physically stimulated, I will be your loving friend forever. Primary Color: White Weight: 57.2 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
Harlow is a 7.5yo female husky/malamute/German Shepard/American grey wolf mix. I’ve had her since she was 8 weeks old as a gift. I have a 1yo son who is now very mobile and Harlow is not doing well with the adjustment. I keep them completely separated in my small apartment. Harlow isn’t happy, the baby isn’t happy. Harlow is on prescription food for her sensitive tummy. She is also on anxiety meds to help with her dog reactivity since we live in an apartment complex where she will occasionally see other dogs when out to go potty. She is the SWEETEST house dog. She has the temperament of a house cat. Wants to sleep all day and live her best lazy life. No other animals, no kids in her future home. She is house and crate trained. Please reach out with any questions. I am a very sad and scared dog mommy to have to go through this process and I will not let her get into the wrong hands. Thank you for reading!

Story
Luna is a 2 and a half year old, 48 pound, husky mix. She is wonderful girl with a perpetual smile! Some of her favorite things are toys, fetch, lounging on the couch and cuddling with her person. She loves to be brushed and belly rubs are the way to her heart. Luna has quite a bit of energy and is looking for a family who is active enough to give her the exercise she needs. Please be aware that all of our pets are in foster care in South Texas. They are transported to their new homes once adopted. We are 100% volunteer based, so it could take a day or 2 before we are able to process an appliaction. If you are interested in adopting an animal, please fill out our adoption application using the blue Apply To Adopt button above and someone will review it shortly!

Story
I can't wait to settle into my new home. I've heard all about this "family dog" business and I think it sounds great - walks, playing with toys, treats, belly rubs... I'm excited about all of that! If you're as ready as I am, let's meet! Here's what I need in my new home: I would do best with kids over the age of 6 and would like to meet them being going home. They told me in my last home I was really gentle and patient with the kids.I need to be the only pet. I would enjoy managed doggy playdates though!I need a fenced in yard.I'm really social and love spending time with people. I bond with my people so much that I would love a family who is always around for all the cuddles!I'm a special placement dog. My adoption process may take a little longer while our behavior team reviews your application to see if we could be a good match!Someone who loves me has paid for my adoption fee!  Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 50.1875 Age: 1yrs 5mths 0wks

Story
Hello, I'm Cloud! My foster mom tells me I'm perfect. I'm a very good boy in the home. When I'm outside, I'm playful and love to run and play chase with my foster sisters. When I'm inside, I love to chill and snuggle. I know never to potty in the house. I'm very gentle at taking treats, and I know sit and shake. I can understand most things you ask me to do if you speak to me gently. All I want is to be loved. I don't think that's asking too much for a perfect boy like me!Here's what I need in my new home: I can be shy with new people and new places, but it doesn't take me long to come out of my shell.I would do best in a home with kids over age 10.I would like to meet any kids I might be living with.I need to meet any other dogs I might be living with.I'd love a yard to run and play in, but I'm flexible about how my needs are met if you are active.I'm a special placement dog. My adoption process may take a little longer while our behavior team reviews all applications to find the home and family that is the best fit for my needs. Story
With the risk of sounding overly confident, I'd like to think I am charming, enthusiastic, and the life of the party! I am social and friendly, enjoy seeking out new adventures and love to just snuggle up on the couch. That being said, I'm not too confident to admit I am a little co-dependent and don't enjoy spending time alone. My love language is quality time and that is my one true desire in a relationship- with that, my toxic trait is that if my love language isn't nurtured then I typically find myself looking for something new. If you're looking for an outgoing, fun and active partner that will adore you and never leave your side, showering you with kisses and cuddles 24/7 then I'm your guy! Here's what I need in my new home: I'm an active dog! I need a family who will take me out for adventures and play with me.I would like to meet any kids I might be living with.I would do best in a home with kids over age 12 .I need to meet any other dogs I might be living with.I need a home without cats.I need a yard with a 6 ft wood fence.I'm a special placement dog. My adoption process may take a little longer while our behavior team reviews your application. They'll give you a call if it looks like we could be a match! Story
It's senior week and now is a great time to welcome me to your family! Adopt me May 30 - June 4 and my adoption fee is waived! I'm ready to live out my senior years in comfort. I don't need too much, just a family who appreciates all the wisdom that comes with age. I may not be the puppy I used to be, but I've still got lots of love to give. Hang out on the couch and watch movies? Sure thing, as long as you rub my belly. Go for a hike? Sure thing, I can do that too! I am an equal opportunity dog adventurer! I should also mention, not to pat myself on the back but... I am a play group ROCKSTAR here at the shelter. I am a gentle guy who can acclimate to the needs of the other dog. I don't really get physical so I would prefer a gentle playful spirit like myself. Do you have a dog? Friends with dogs? Yes please! I'd love to meet you! Here's what I need in my new home: I would do best in a home with kids over age 12.I would like to meet any kids I might be living with.I need to meet any other dogs I might be living with.
