Story
Sapphire is a beautiful 5 year old Siberian Husky who needs to have a home with no other pets if possible. She does fine with passing dogs on a walk but doesn't do well if forced to interact. Cats are fun to chase so probably not the dog for someone who has cats but she's great with children. She's house trained and is a lover. Her owner is unable to care for her anymore so she is with friends but has to stay separated due to her inability to socialize with other dogs. She will need spayed and that amount is included in her adoption donation of $250. Please complete an application if you'd like to meet her.July 26, 2024, 3:42 pm

Story
I love mt boy so much. This is actually the most difficult thing I've ever needed to do. I do not want to see him in a shelter. He loves to play so much. But he is not socialized very well. He is very sassy, dominate, talkative, loving of people. But he has been attacked a few times by my friends dog and my parents dog. So he doesn't read social cues. And he dominates and prey drives and never backs down from another dog challenging him so he cant go to dog parks or doggy day cares. He is truly a sweet boy with some social behavioral issues. He needs someone who understands huskies, can discipline well, can be calm (I have high anxiety), who can take him places and train him better, has a yard, who can stimulate his mind. He is very smart. He does have allergies and zinc deficiency but it is under control. Me and him have just become unfit for each and I cant offer him what he needs or afford it. I desperately want to find him a good home so he can thrive.

Story
Hi! I'm Jack! I'm a 1.5 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix, looking for a new home. I'm a super sweet and friendly guy, but I had a rough upbringing as a puppy and didn't get much attention or training, so I will need some extra love, but I learn quick! Because of this, I might do best as the only dog in the home. I like dogs, but I would really love to get individual attention and form a strong bond with my forever family. I have lots of energy and love to run around. I also like playing with other dogs and meeting new people! I would love to meet you and show you how sweet I am!

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I can be nervous around new people. It just takes me a little while to get comfortable with new people. But once I get to know them, I'm very loving.I would prefer a fenced yard. I really love spending time outside, and walks alone aren't going to be enough for me!It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org. Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 67 Age: 1yrs 1mths 2wks
