I was rescued from a California high-kill shelter in the nick of time and am currently in a foster home in Southern Washington but available to meet! I'm a young, active dog, and am friendly, playful, smart, curious and very athletic. I'm also strong, and need a a strong owner who can be my companion. I am affectionate and will give kisses once I get to know you. I love treats and food in general. I also enjoy human attention and affection, and would do best with someone who is active. I've been tested with other dogs and did well on my dog test, though I'd thrive also as an only dog with a person or people who loves to go for walks, hikes or other outings because my husky energy can turn some dogs off. MEET JASPER! This handsome and happy 2-1/2-year-old lab-husky mix was rescued from a crowded California shelter, where he was surrendered by his previous owner because she was reportedly moving. When the shelter filled up, Jasper was put on the euthanasia list for lack of space. Fortunately he was rescued and is moving on to a second and better chapter in his life! He is a sweet and friendly boy who loves everyone. He does well with other dogs and listens well! Jasper will do great with a single person, couple or family who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. He weighs 50-55 lbs., and is currently in a foster home in Southern Washington. MEET BASS & TENOR! This happy and loving duo has waited much too long for a home but we can't split them up. They are a loving, fun pair of playful dogs who need a foster or forever home! They are very affectionate toward people, and love, love, love each other. They are likely brothers, who found themselves at a crowded California shelter with no adoption interest. Fortunately they were rescued but still haven't found a home yet. They must be adopted together as they are extremely bonded. Both are almost 8 years old. Bass, the brown-and-white pup, weighs only 55 lbs., and Tenor (tan and white) weighs about 60 lbs. They are fun, active pups who love to run, play and snuggle with each other. They would love to be adopted by someone who could take them on hikes, walks and other outings. They currently play with each other for entertainment but it'd be great for them to branch out and see the world. Bass & Tenor love to jump up and give kisses. They are not super friendly with other dogs, so should be the only dogs in the home - but they have plenty of love to give and will be grateful to whomever adopts them. I love exploring, sniffing out new things, and can slip out of a collar in no time. I'm also quite independent, content to entertain myself, but I do love humans. Your company will my favorite pastime. I'm mellow for a husky, and easy to have around. And I'm cuddly. I love a good snuggle! My curiosity keeps life interesting, and my gentleness makes me a great companion. I was rescued from a California shelter, where I had a kennel mate. But I can be a bit of an alpha girl, so my canine companion would need to be pretty special and understanding of my bossy girl ways. I truly am a people dog, and will be your shadow and welcome you home with a smile and a wag. I'm still very active and would love to go on some long walks or hikes. I weigh about 55 lbs. Bubu was rescued from the Vancouver Humane Society. Before that, he lived on the streets with his mother and sister. He used to be a very active dog, but now he is much more relaxed and enjoys his naps during the day.Bubu is incredibly sweet and affectionate. He loves attention, pets, and cuddles. He tolerates baths, enjoys being around other dogs and cats, and is good with kids. He still enjoys being outside and staying active, but long uphill hikes are no longer his favorite.Bubu would thrive in a quiet, structured home with a yard where he can feel safe and relaxed.We rescued Bubu with the goal of giving him all the love he deserves before he finds his forever home. When we first brought him home, he was scared of everything. With time, patience, and care, he has opened up and become very loving. Recently, our lives became very busy with both of us working 12-hour days, and apartment living is no longer fair to him. He deserves more space and someone who can spend time with him

I originally was rescued from a crowded California shelter, where I was brought in with a another dog. I'm in good health except for some arthritis, but glucosamine treats help me greatly. I cannot do a lot of stairs so a house that can accommodate me would be greatly appreciated. I'm a lovebug and my favorite thing to do is hang out with my person or people, and go for short walks.
