Story
Cutie Pie is an 8 year old , 25 pound small terrier mix who belongs to a 90 year old woman who needs to rehome him. Her house has lots of people coming and going and it makes Cutie Pie nervous. He has been good with all dogs and only occasionally chases the cat. Cutie Pie is sweet with his owner though it did take about 10 days for him to warm up to her after she adopted him from a local shelter. He loves giving kisses on the cheek very morning, playing and getting pets from his owner. He is house trained and enjoys chilling out on the couch. Cutie Pie is scared of new people when they come into house and starltles at loud noises. He will thrive in a home where there are few strangers coming and going. He barks when people come in and will nip if they try to approach him but has not bitten. He is working with a trainer and sessions with the trainer are included in his adoption. His owner is waiving the adoption fee. This is a courtesy post for her. If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  ##2155032##

Story
Clarice is a surrender from Missouri due to littermate/sibling syndrome. Her sister was adopted to a 77 year old woman and grew very attached. When Clarice didn’t find a home they reached out to the adopter of her sister and asked if she would take her to. The woman was hesitant but agreed. Unfortunately jealousy began to arise between the two and her owner had to make the decision to place her in a rescue. Luckily our rescuer was passing through Missouri on the way home from an animal transport and agreed to take in Clarice. She is the sweetest girl but terrified of big dogs. She can be possessive of her human so get ready to be loved! Clarice is hoping to hop on the PJ in San Antonio, destined for Colorado, on Thursday, October 17, just in time for spooky season! She needs a committed foster or adopter to be eligible- won't you treat her to a fall season and welcome her to your Colorado home? ##2192038##

Story
Posed so perfectly for the camera, regal 2-year-old Rita looks every inch a lady! At an elegant 18 pounds, this white and brown beauty is an endearing blend of energetic and easygoing, as content to romp around with other dogs of all sizes as she is to relax beside her foster mom for much of the day. Sweet yet somewhat shy, Rita loves snuggling and cuddling with her foster mom, resting her head on her, showing her paw for affection and then dancing and prancing about. Not only does she LOVE children, she loves chewing on bones large and small, playing with toys, especially a small mouse toy, going for walks and taking rides in the car. Motivated by food and love, Rita currently knows “come,” “sit,” “down,” “no,” and “leave it,” is leash trained, never crated and almost fully house-trained to use a doggy door. Now Rita, who’s being treated for heartworm disease and requires more rest than activity at the moment, would relish the chance to find an affectionate family that will complete her training, including her commands, and keep her happy fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. Story
I got Poppy at 8 weeks old from a family friend who had a surprise litter. I love her dearly and she is the spunkiest, funniest little dog. Shes my first ever dog that was completely mine and not a family pet. But Poppy developed epilepsy at just over a year old. Shes 2 now. The cost of her medication and medical bills has put me into financial hardship and I simply cannot afford to keep her anymore. Especially since medication doesnt seems to be working very well and the constant trips to the vet to reevaluate her medication is both time consuming and money draining. She has seizures every 2 weeks. She needs someone who is financially stable enough to care for her, and a household where someone is often home in case she has an episode and needs rescue medication. She loves to play fetch, loves walks, kids, cats, other dogs, and loves to chew on ehr toys. She loves people but she loves other animals more, so I know she would adjust well to not having me around.
