Story
Luna is such a sweetie! She can feel a bit overwhelmed at times, so she will appreciate an adopter that can support her and be her cheerleader when times get tough. Luna has enjoyed the company of another dog in a previous home and may do well with a canine friend in her next home as well! At this time, HSBV will only rehome Luna to a family without children or with children over the age of 10.Luna would love to go home with her brother, Friar Tuck! They are a 2 for 1 adoption but this is not necessary to adopt Luna.

Story
Maggie is 3-4 year old Terrier/Chihuahua/Poodle mix weighing about 15lbs.  Maggie came to us over a year ago from a hoarding case where there were over 60 Chihuahua/Poodle mixes living in a small home in Denver.  They were all incredibly under socialized and neglected, with most of the females being pregnant.  We were able to take in 5 of the pregnant moms from Maxfund to help get them into a safe and comfortable place to give birth and raise their puppies.  We also took about 8 other dogs from the hoarding case to start them socializing and learning how to "dog".  Maggie is now the last dog from the hoarding case and needs her forever family.  Maggie has clearly been through a lot and still has a long way to come.  She is a sweet girl but still pretty timid around humans.  She will come and snuggle with her foster Momma on her terms but it did take an incredibly long time for that to happen.  Maggie really needs a human who can be patient with her and give her a forever home with lots of love knowing she came from an incredibly rough situation and will probaly never be a completely "normal" dog. Her fosters describe her as more of a cat-dog.  We know she could make more progress with some training as well.  We will require she goes to a home with another dog so she can continue to learn how to trust and be a dog. Story
Hi, my name is Charley Feeny and while I'm the happiest buddy now, before my Underdog days I had a pretty rough go of it. I used to have a loving mama, but one day she went away, and I found myself living with a person who did not like me very much. He was not feeding me or even letting me in from the cold. I wandered off and a nice lady found me. I showed her where I lived and she took me back, but the man said I was a stray and even though I barked and barked, he would not let me inside. The nice lady took me to a shelter. They said I was a hospice senior, and I that I was on the urgent rescue list. Fortunately, the staff really liked me, so they reached out to Underdogs, who sent a new mama to pick me up. My new foster home is so nice. There are other dogs to play with, I am allowed to curl up under the covers whenever I want to and there is lots of healthy food and treats to eat. She took me to the dog doc and she told her that I was neither neither a senior nor a hospice dog. I tried to tell everyone that, but apparently dog docs are more trustworthy. As it turns out, I am only about 6 years old and though not being fed regularly and neglected overall was hard on my kidneys, proper food and some medicine have been healing them nicely. I now weigh thirteen pounds and am looking perky and am the most handsome scruffy terrier and miniature poodle mix.  I love the fenced yard at my foster digs and I especially love going for walks in the morning. New foster mama put an open crate in the living room so I can go in there any time I need time to myself. I also like toys to play with. One weekend we had lots of company, including a 12-year-old girl and extra dogs. Mama said she was so proud of how I behaved.  She tells me that we are looking for my new forever family, someone that will take me for walks, feed me well, love me and help me feel secure again. She says that I will do best with adults and older children with dog experience. I love dog friends, but the kitties are not my most favorite.  If you're interested in adopting Charlie Feeny, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. If you're interested in learning more or setting up a meeting with one of our animals, please complete an adoption application first. It may take up to two weeks for application review and one of our coordinators will reach out to you as soon as we are through the intitial review process. We appreciate your patience and understanding! Thank you!  ##2084570##

Story
Estrella is a 2(ish) year old Terrier mix weighing about 7lbs - so she is a tiny little girl.  Estrella is a sweet little girl who loves to snuggle and hang out with her humans.  she gets along great with other dogs and people.  The foster has a kid who she loves to snuggle with and hang out with.  Her foster also has a couple cats that she loves to chase, so a home without cats may be best, although it's not a huge issue, so it could be manageable.  Estrella is doing well with leash and potty training.  She loves to snuggle all night under the covers with the foster and hang out with the other dogs during the day.  She is a great little dog with the cutest little snaggletooth underbite.   If you are interested in adopting Estrella, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2358664##

Story
Candace is so sweet and very calm most of the time - she really only barks when she sees other dogs! She loves to go on walks and is very curious, sniffing plants and grass as she explores the neighborhood. When she is inside, she plays well with the kids, chews on her toys and likes to lay in the sun. She is a good sleeper and is house trained. She loves to lay on the couch and is a good cuddler. Also, she has been good in the crate for sleeping and when we are out of the house.  ##2385112##

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Bowie, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** This goofy little guy is believed to be a 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier / Dachshund mix. He is 18 lbs, but should lose a few lbs. He should be around 15-16 lbs at a healthy weight. Bowie is very sweet and goofy, and has the cutest little trot. He also has a gorgeous single blue eye, to match his gorgeous markings! Bowie was found as a stray in rural Texas and taken in by a small shelter, where he has made friends with all the staff and the other dogs. Now Bowie has arrived to Colorado to find the forever home he deserves. From Bowie's foster mom: "Bowie is super sweet! He is great with all 5 of my dogs, and didn't even bat an eye when he met my cat. He is a good boy -- super cuddly, great on a leash, super friendly. Loves to give kisses to people. He sleeps on a dog bed at night like a good boy and walks right beside me out on walks. He is a great little guy and will make someone happy!" We don’t know if Bowie has had any formal training, but a (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class will help him build confidence, bond with his new family, and master good manners. Training is essential for a successful adoption, and Farfel’s is happy to provide a list of recommended force-free trainers to set him up for success. Bowie has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.
