Story
This adorable little girl is just over a year old and weighs about 12.5 pounds. She’s fully vetted, heartworm negative, microchipped, and making great progress with her potty training. Her adoption fee is only $25! She came from a hoarding situation where dogs were kept in crates in a small apartment, so crates aren’t her favorite place to be. But, it sometimes can be her safety place. Understandably, she’s still a bit nervous and learning to trust. Sometimes she’s too scared to be caught, but with patience, gentleness, and time, she’ll come around and show her true loving nature. Because of her background, she’s not a good fit for apartment living—she’ll need a secure backyard where she can safely explore and feel comfortable. She does best with dogs her size or larger, and would thrive in a calm, understanding home that’s willing to let her open up at her own pace. She’s not an “instant dog”—she’ll need time to trust and adjust—but once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the safe, loving home she deserves? Complete your application today at https://chloespetrescue.org/application

BREED-Rat Terrier Mix; SEX-Male; SIZE-Small; WEIGHT-13 lbs.; AGE-Approximately 4 Years; SPAY/NEUTER-Yes; HOUSETRAINED-Currently Uses Doggie Door; GOOD WITH KIDS-Yes; GOOD WITH DOGS-Yes; GOOD WITH CATS-Unknown; HISTORY-Rescued From A Local Shelter; ADOPTION FEE-$250   Gus is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He has a calm, easygoing nature, and his idea of a perfect day is simply being close to his person—curled up in your lap or resting quietly by your side. Gus greets everyone with joy and genuine happiness, and his gentle presence has a way of making you feel instantly loved. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and warmly welcomes new fosters into his home with a kind and patient spirit. Gus does have an autoimmune condition that causes some crusting around his eyes and the sides of his mouth. This means he will need a little extra daily care, including gently cleaning his eyes and mouth with a warm cloth, as well as taking daily medication. The medication is quite manageable, with an average monthly cost of about $20. With this simple routine, Gus remains comfortable and continues to thrive. If you’re looking for a truly special dog—one who will return your love with endless affection and quiet companionship—Gus may be the perfect match for you.March 7, 2026, 2:41 pm

Story
Phoebe is looking for a loving foster home where they can relax and recover while receiving treatment. Reason for Foster: Ringworm Foster Time Frame: Approximately 3 weeks (The foster timeframe may vary depending on recovery and any follow-up medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Phoebe is being treated for ringworm, a common and treatable fungal skin infection. While ringworm can be contagious to other pets, it is very manageable with proper precautions. We recommend keeping them in a separate room away from other pets, ideally a space that is easy to clean such as a bathroom, laundry room, or spare bedroom. A room without carpet or upholstered furniture works best. Treatment typically includes regular lime sulfur dips and antifungal medication, which will be provided by our medical team. Our staff will walk you through the treatment plan during your foster pickup appointment so you feel confident caring for this little one. Simple precautions such as washing your hands and changing clothes after handling your foster pet will help prevent the spread. To learn more about caring for a foster pet with ringworm, please visit: https://operation-kindness-foster.my.canva.site/ringworm-foster-guide How to take this pet home: Adopt: Phoebe is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption. Visit Operation Kindness and speak with our Client Services team. Foster-to-Adopt placements are first-come, first-served. Foster: Interested in fostering this pet? Email foster@operationkindness.org.

Why you will love him... The Athlete: Ciabatta has plenty of energy and loves to run. Whether it’s a long walk, a jog, or just zooming around a big backyard, he is always up for an adventure. The Snuggle Bug: Once his energy is out, he’s a total softie. He is a world-class cuddler who loves to lean in for pets and snooze right next to his favorite humans on the couch. Great with Kids: Ciabatta is a sweetheart with children. He is patient, gentle, and thrives on the love and attention of a family. Ciabatta is a 10 year old Rat Terrier Mix looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. He had a run in with a wire fence that got wrapped around his nose  earlier in life and has left a small scar. He is sweet as they come. He just wants to sit in your LAP and cuddle. Apply online if interested in meeting Ciabatta: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Story
Calling all Jack Russell Terrier lovers! Are you looking for a true, full-of-energy JRT? Meet Akira – The Playful Adventure-Seeker!  Akira is a spirited Jack Russell Terrier who’s ready to bounce her way into your heart!Weighing just 15 lbs, this pint-sized bundle of energy is the perfect companion for an active person or family with older kids. True to her breed, Akira is incredibly smart, curious, and always on the lookout for her next adventure.   She absolutely loves going for walks, playing with her toys and dog puzzles. Akira does well with older, respectful kids (teens) who understand how to interact with dogs. She isn’t the best fit for families with young children, as she doesn’t enjoy their high energy or playful handling.   She gets along with other dogs and enjoys their company, though she prefers slow, gentle introductions when meeting new furry friends   Akira is potty trained and is comfortable using potty pads or a doggy door. She is also crate trained, spayed and up to date on shots.   Akira would thrive in a home that offers plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Her ideal family is one familiar with Jack Russells or similar breeds who can give her the activity, stimulation, structure, and love she needs to stay happy.   Akira’s loving nature and adventurous spirit make her an amazing addition to the right family. She loves car rides and due to her size, she is the perfect companion for going literally anywhere!   Are you ready to be her forever companion? Learn more about our adoption process below and fill out an adoption application to take the first step in giving Akira (and Aisha!) the home they deserve! Story
Meet Reyna - For adorable puppy kisses  Meet Reyna — a terrier mix puppy with a BIG personality packed into a little body! This girl is full of energy, love, and nonstop puppy fun. Whether she’s playing fetch, tugging on her favorite toys, or handing out endless puppy kisses, Reyna knows how to keep life exciting. She absolutely loves people and wants to be right in the middle of the action. While she can be a little unsure around the big dogs in her foster home at first, her curiosity quickly takes over — and those tiny nips turn into sweet kisses in no time. Reyna is doing well with crate training and sleeps through the night like a champ. She’s not a fan of the playpen (and can jump a gate when she’s determined!), so it’s mainly used during feeding time. She’s recently discovered her love for treats, which has made training fun — she’s already practicing “sit” and “go to bed” like a smart little girl. Like any young pup, Reyna is still working on potty training. She does have some accidents indoors, but she’s improving — and the time it takes her to go potty outside is getting quicker every day. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, slightly mischievous cuddle bug who will keep you laughing and shower you with love, Reyna is your girl. ##2708238##

Story
Meet Annabelle – Learning Love, One Day at a Time Annabelle is a 3-year-old terrier mix who is discovering just how wonderful life can be as a loved family dog. Once a stray, she’s leaving her “street-dog” days behind and learning what it means to feel safe, secure, and cherished. She’s currently in training to be the perfect home companion—and she’s already come such a long way. Annabelle enjoys running joyful zoomies in the backyard with her foster sister, and wants nothing more than to be close to her people at all times. When she first arrived, Annabelle didn’t quite know how to play nicely and could be a little defensive. But with patience and consistency, she’s learning that she doesn’t have to compete for love anymore—it’s freely given, and she’s soaking that lesson in more every day. Annabelle’s personality is full of charm—she’s a gangly, happy bundle of excitement when her foster comes home and is working on her manners, like learning not to dash out when doors open. With continued guidance and a loving home, she will continue to blossom into an incredible companion. Annabelle would do best with a family who can continue her training, provide structure, and show her the stability she’s never had before. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, affection, and the joy of watching a dog truly come into her own. If you’re looking for a rewarding adoption and a dog who will love you with her whole heart, Annabelle is ready to meet you. ##2676374##
