Pretty Poppy is a 1-year-old rat terrier, who weighs 20 lbs. Poppy loves her people and is happy to curl in your lap on the couch or lie under the covers at your feet at night. She craves human attention so much that she's not happy to be left alone for long periods and if confined to a kennel, she'll cry and bark. However, she would make a great companion for someone who is home most of the day, and she's house-trained and can be trusted to have free rein indoors while you're busy in your home office.   A born leader, Poppy is always at the frontline of anything that looks exciting. Her sense of adventure can lead her two canine foster brothers down a path of naughtiness by amping up the energy levels, or it can lead her to dig her way under the fence if she's not watched. Her queen bee attitude can lead her to sometimes guard her food and bed space from her brothers. While she loves her 4-year-old human sister dearly, she can get snappy if she's pestered when she's resting. Any children would need to be mature enough to be respectful of her space and calm in their movement so as not to get her overly aroused.   Poppy may not have been treated so kindly in her first year of life. The vet has noted that a leg was broken sometime in the past but that the little limp, caused by the break having healed on its own, is not problematic. Poppy also gets frightened if she hears a loud, sudden noise--even playful yelling. And if she thinks she's being scolded, she might tinkle on the floor.   But honestly now who could scold a face like that? Hudson is a 3 year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. He is a tiny, adorable dog with a huge personality that will keep you laughing all the time! He loves to play with other dogs and is always the first to make friends when new fosters come into the house. He can hold his own with big dogs and little dogs alike. His favorite activity is running zoomies, and he will run so hard and fast down the hall that he bounces off the wall...but he hops right back up and is ready for more. He also loves to explore the backyard and find the perfect stick or hunt down those annoying cicadas! Hudson doesn't live with kids, but we think he would be ok with kids ages 10 and over. Kids will need to understand that Hudson is not the type of dog to be chased or picked up. Hudson is cuddly and loves to snuggle at night, but prefers it on his own terms. He doesn't love being picked up...it scares him a little...but he is getting more used to it. Having other dogs around is a must for him as it gives him confidence and someone whose lead he can follow. He is housetrained with a dog door but is probably going to mark at first, so if that's a huge deal to you, he's not your dog (remember, he's tiny so the clean-up is negligible). Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com         Mia is a SUPER sweet approximately one and a half year old 30 lb. border collie/rat terrier mix dog with the personality of an angel.  She is muscular, yet petite, young, very sweet, very smart and an absolute LOVE BUG.  She is extremely well behaved, housebroken and kenneled trained and Mia will ‘go potty’ on command!!  She is perfect in the house by herself (she does have a doggie door), doesn’t chew anything and also sleeps with us all night, excusing herself during the night to ‘go potty’.  She loves cuddling with you in bed and enjoys some playing in the morning.   She LOVES going to the dog park and runs and barks and runs and barks at the other dogs.  She is a border mix so she has a lot of energy.  She goes to the dog park every day with her foster mom to get some of that energy out.  She races at top speed chasing dogs outside the fence line, birds, drones, anything that is moving, she is a bullet to try and get it.  Mia would truly love to have a family with another very active dog or a daily trip to the dog park to run and play.  Because of her energy level, her wonderful agility, ability to jump high and desire to please, her foster mom thinks she would be a fantastic agility dog!! She loves chasing other dogs and being chased and playing with the other dogs.  If you have an active, full of energy pup looking for a friend, she might be perfect for you.  She does great with both small and larger dogs.  She likes to fetch in the house and will often put the toy in your lap or between your legs to encourage you to throw it.  But at the dog park she is all about the other dogs.  She is completely chill at home, but really needs some high energy chasing/playing time to use up some of her border collie power!! She listens very well and will be easy to train too as she wants to please!  She has been going to obedience school and knows how to sit patiently for her dinner, she also knows sits, heel, down, and stay.  She has four perfectly socked feet, a smidge of white at the tip of her tail, and sweet and intelligent eyes.  She is fully grown and weighs in at about 30 lbs.  She is so funny as she can fall asleep standing up.  LOL!  She is absolutely lovely, young, good energy without being annoying, loves everyone and would be happy with a family of her own.  Mia is an absolute doll!!  Please come and meet Mia! Danielle aka Coco is a sweet, comical little girl.She loves being petted and is quick to offer her belly for tummy rubs. She enjoys tearing around the backyard, at breakneck speed but stops after a couple of laps. She loves playing with her foster buddy, Marvin (aka Vinnie), but she can sometimes challenge other small dogs. She will also initially challenge larger dogs, but stops after being put in her place a time or two with a bark from the larger dog. Coco was returned for nipping at a baby but she was okay with toddlers in her foster home when she returned to our program. Because of her history, I would not recommend placing her with babies or children under the age of 6 or so. A trial period with any other dogs in the home would be recommended. She could also be an only dog and be perfectly happy. Frosty is our adorable 47 pound 2 year old scruffy boy.  He has not met a person or a dog he doesn't like. Frosty loves going to events and will be your restaurant patio pal.   He loves going for walks and just hanging out. He has a medium energy level and likes to cuddle and can even play scrabble (okay, maybe he's not the best speller!) You get the idea though. Frosty is a doll and deserves only the best home! He will be happiest in a home with  fenced yard as he loves to sun himself and watch the squirrels.
