Story
Meet Scarlett! We believe she is around fourteen weeks old. She is very sweet, but a little timid, but we know that with the right home Scarlett will thrive. Scarlett's exact breed is unknown, but our guess is that she is a Labradoodle mix. Scarlett is Marilyn's sister and they were found together at a construction site in Apple Valley. Scarlett is now looking for her forever home. Adopt Scarlett!

Story
Martell is a sweet 8yr old male Labradoodle that we purchased from a breeder in Bonita, CA when he was 10wks old. He’s been the most loyal and loving companion to us for all these years. We’re in the process of an unexpected and difficult move so with a broken heart, we’re looking to rehome our precious boy. He was housebroken by 12wks and he’s never had an accident since. He’s never destroyed furniture or personal belongings. We can run errands throughout the day and once back, our home is intact. He’s not a relentless barker, but only does so when someone is right outside the door, so once he’s told to quiet down he does so willingly. He has a beautiful, deep bark that will keep any ill-willed being at bay. He was verified as completely healthy by his vet at Otay Pet Vets about a year ago. He’s 85 lbs. so he’s a big boy that does best when walked with a Gentle Leader Headcollar by someone that can manage a strong dog. He’s in need of a loving family with a nice yard to run in.

Story
Meet Kkamang! She is a 3 year old that was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea.  We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable.  Many of these dogs start off in horrific puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth.  If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away.  Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat.   Many restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South  Korea,  and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men.    Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions.  The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade.  Kkamang and some of her family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life.  These are miracle dogs that they are alive today.  Our adoption fee is $600 which helps offset some of the flight costs.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application form at  https://form.jotform.com/oscarlucy/dog-adoption-app October 3, 2023, 8:50 pm
