Story
Winston is a super fun and playful boy that found himself in a high impound shelter in Kern County. He is pure joy and will brings lots of shenanigans to a home. He will require an active lifestyle and dog socialization. Playdates are his jam and would do wonderful in social dog settings He is 1-1.5 years old and weighs 63 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

Story
Teddy is a beautiful, 2 year old, 38 lb. male labradoodle w' a somewhat sad history. 6 months ago he was found by animal control abandoned on the streets of Bakersfield. We have been his guardians since. Teddy is healthy, playful, house-broken, a good eater, not food aggressive, obedient, loves sleeping in his crate, is sweet & craves affection. Has had a lot of training & obeys the basics. Full disclosure: From his trauma, he is afraid of other dogs & can be reactive w' people – nipping & sometimes biting because he is anxious & insecure, but has proven to do great & not have these behavior problems in structured environments i.e. the ranch when we're away & in training sessions. Teddy needs strong leadership & structure; someone willing to work w' him to build his confidence. A patient, experienced dog person with a pack mentality. He has great potential w' the right person. Our amazing trainer Brett Endes, “Dog Savant” has offered to assist in the transition at no charge.

Story
Have you ever heard of a dog being abandoned at a doggie day care? Well, that's my story. I have no idea why, I'm fun, playful, get along with everyone. I'm still a puppy, so I have a lot to learn and I'm probably still growing a bit, but I'm very content to hang out and get cuddles and love, so I hope you'll meet me, fall in love with me, and adopt me. If you are interested in meeting Buttercup, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at info@farescue.org or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Buttercup is about 8 months old and weighs 25 lbs.] (2512)

Story
*PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org * Drake is loving life in his foster home, but now it’s time for him to find his furever family… We rescued Drake back in 2020. He is a 7 year old pup now and we guess he is a labradoodle mix. He was adopted a few years ago but recently, instead of contacting us to surrender the Drake back to us when they were unable to keep him, the adopter brought him to the shelter. Not only did they bring him to the shelter, they told the shelter to EUTHANIZE HIM!! Why? Because he is reactive/ doesn’t get along with small dogs, something they knew when they adopted him. Thankfully we were notified and able to get him back into our care quickly. He has been doing so well in foster and deserves to finally find the right people. Drake is a big boy (100+ pounds, but does need to lose some weight) and loves cuddles. He greatly enjoys long walks and car rides. He is super smart and food motivated. Drake is a go with the flow dude who just wants people to love. He would be best as the only animal in the home and with people committed to managing his reactivity. He is very easy to redirect with treats and will thrive with the right people. Drake is currently being fostered in Santa Monica, California area but can be adopted anywhere as long as you can come to SoCal and drive home. *PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org . Drake's adoption fee is $400*

Story
Chip “Chippy” is a 4-year-old, 63-lb Labrador/Cattle Dog mix (DNA tested) and neutered. He’s a high-energy adventurer who loves off-leash outings, road trips, and playing with dogs of all sizes. Chip bonds quickly and will be your loyal “ride or die” companion — whether running trails or curling up for belly rubs. Highly intelligent and sometimes mischievous, Chip thrives with a strong leader to guide him. Sensitive and soulful, he has a touch of FOMO (non-destructive separation anxiety) that has improved through his live-in training program. Thanks to that training, Chip has solid recall, knows sit, down, and place, is crate-trained, and doesn’t resource guard. A limited-ingredient diet keeps his stomach happy and healthy. Chip’s adoption includes required training sessions to transfer his skills and ensure a smooth transition. He’ll bring comfort, joy, and plenty of laughs to an active, dog-dedicated home ready to keep him on their toes. For inquiries and/or to apply to adopt Chip, please contact his trainer and rescuer via email at: blkatk9@gmail.com or send a message via Instagram @blkatk9. Chip is available in Colorado, although transport may be possible for the right match.

Story
Ellie is a 5-year-old, 68-lb Labrador/Hound mix who’s ready to leave her past behind and step into a brighter future. For her first four years, she lived as a neglected backyard dog and then as a stray — so home life is new to her. But Ellie is resilient, joyful, and determined to succeed! She’s been thriving in a live-in training program, learning the skills she needs to be a wonderful companion. Ellie is crate-trained, good on leash, and knows her commands (sit, down, place, recall). She’s dog-friendly, has no prey drive, and never guards high-value treats. She loves swimming, off-leash adventures, and showing off her goofy “somersault” move when she’s happy. Ellie’s adoption includes required training sessions to help her transition smoothly and maintain her progress. She’ll do best in a calm, well-organized home with active, dog-dedicated humans who can continue her training and give her the love she’s been waiting for. With her big heart and goofy charm, Ellie is ready to be someone’s shadow — and someone’s forever. For inquiries and/or to apply to adopt Ellie, please contact her trainer and rescuer via email at: blkatk9@gmail.com or send a message via Instagram to @blkatk. Ellie is available in Colorado, although transport may be possible for the right match.

Story
HENRY THE FABULOUS!!! HE IS AWESOME!!!! He is so sweet and easy. He loves hiking, playing, snuggling and lounging in a pool! He appears to be a mix of Labrador and Dalmatian, with that type of energy. He is about 7 years young and full of pep and energy and loves to play! He is a darling gentleman. His best friend is a female pup named Malibu Barbie and they are all love. There is not enough room for all his pictures. We are trying to update. He is a medium size and loves to go for walks, hikes, the beach, and give love! He's also VERY DOG FRIENDLY. He absolutely loves life and is great with all dogs! He is gentle enough to keep a cancer dog company. He seems to be nervous around younger kids when they want to get to close or hug him. So we can only say he is best with older teens age 16 to adults to have a great life of fun! He deserves the best home and to be the best friend that he wants to be! Henry is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in adopting him please fill out an application today. Applications can be found on our website www.LindaBlairWorldheart.org Southern California adoptions only due to home checks.
