Story
Milo is overall a good dog, he’s just not a good fit for our family anymore. He is two years old and has mellowed out a lot. He loves to run and play. He is a bit of a barker which can be a lot for our family since we have two children two and under. He is very protective and will definitely let you know if someone’s on the property. He still needs some behavioral training that we cannot afford right now. I put that he’s a labra doodle but we’re not sure what exact breed mix he is. But definitely mixed with a miniature poodle.

Story
Beppo was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter in a really bad area. He was well cared for, but the owner decided he just didn't want the responsibility. I'm so happy we were able to get him because the shelters have zero criteria for screening possible homes. Beppo is a fantastic, well behaved playful and happy boy. He is fostered with another doodle and having the time of his life. He would do best in an active home w/ boundaries and leadership. He would do wonderful as a hiking pal and a dog park player. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

Story
Hey there, I'm Trooper, a curious and playful pup who's ready to take on the world with my new family! I'm a people-person, err, dog - I mean, I love everyone I meet and I'm super affectionate. I'm also quite the athlete, always up for a game of fetch or a good run. I'm still a baby, so I've got plenty of puppy energy to keep you entertained. Plus, I'm a smart cookie too, always figuring things out and making my friends laugh with my silly antics. I'm on the hunt for my forever home, so if you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who's also a bundle of fun, I'm your guy! Come and meet me and let's start our adventure together! Please text 714-882-9865 and complete the application online at www.rescuemepets.com/forms

Story
*PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org * Drake is loving life in his foster home, but now it’s time for him to find his furever family… We rescued Drake back in 2020. He is a 7 year old pup now and we guess he is a labradoodle mix. He was adopted a few years ago but recently, instead of contacting us to surrender the Drake back to us when they were unable to keep him, the adopter brought him to the shelter. Not only did they bring him to the shelter, they told the shelter to EUTHANIZE HIM!! Why? Because he is reactive/ doesn’t get along with small dogs, something they knew when they adopted him. Thankfully we were notified and able to get him back into our care quickly. He has been doing so well in foster and deserves to finally find the right people. Drake is a big boy (100+ pounds, but does need to lose some weight) and loves cuddles. He greatly enjoys long walks and car rides. He is super smart and food motivated. Drake is a go with the flow dude who just wants people to love. He would be best as the only animal in the home and with people committed to managing his reactivity. He is very easy to redirect with treats and will thrive with the right people. Drake is currently being fostered in Santa Monica, California area but can be adopted anywhere as long as you can come to SoCal and drive home. *PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org . Drake's adoption fee is $400*

Story
Ginger is a large, big-hearted, affectionate lab mix who absolutely loves people. She’s very people-oriented, bonds quickly, and has that classic lab vibe—sweet, goofy, and eager to please. She’s fully potty trained, walks well on leash, and is an easy companion at home or on neighborhood walks. Indoors she settles nicely and loves relaxing nearby for pets and attention. Ginger does best in a calm, predictable home with consistent human time, and may be happiest as the primary focus (or with thoughtful attention-sharing). She’s young, healthy, and incredibly affectionate—the kind of dog who’ll follow you from room to room and lean in for cuddles. If you want a sweet, people-loving dog who’s already house-trained and easy to walk, Ginger could be a great match.

Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
We adopted him from the pound when he was five months old after he was rescued from a neglected and abusive home. We’ve had him for the past two years, and he has been an amazing dog. Recently, we welcomed a daughter who is now 18 months old and has a severe allergy to dogs. We’ve tried everything to limit contact, but despite our efforts, whenever we interact with him we need to bathe immediately, otherwise our daughter breaks out in hives. Over time, we’ve come to realize that his life has changed drastically due to the demands of caring for a young child. He’s not getting the attention he deserves, and it doesn’t feel fair to him. With heavy hearts, we’ve decided that the best thing for him is to find a new, loving home where he can receive the attention, affection, and care he needs. He is a very sweet and loving boy—he’s just very large and doesn’t always realize it.
