Lola is a happy 9 mo old gal that was surrendered to us. Lola was born to a Husky mom and a Labradoodle dad. Lola weighs 28 pounds, is very energetic and would do great in a home with another playful dog. Lola would also thrive in an active adventurous home. She was born 9/9/22. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Poor Glennie was turned into the shelter as a stray along with her male housemate. It appears that she had an owner who did not want to pay the fees to get her out and she had also been used for breeding as it was evident she had been nursing. Glennie is a Labradoodle (Labrador/Poodle mix) and she is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She just wants love and attention. Glennie is an active dog and will need someone who has the time and energy to continue her training and provide her daily exercise. She is about 3 years old and weighs 41 pounds. It does not seem that Glennie lived indoors and she is working on her housetraining and doing well so far. We think it would be best for her to go to a home with no kids or teens and older due to her size and excitement level. She has done well with dogs her size, but we are not sure about cats and smaller dogs. She would do best in a home with a yard and someone who is not gone long hours at a time. Elmo is a 5 year old medium (42 lb) labradoodle. We experienced no problems when we were a childless household. With the addition of kids he has begun resource guarding and has a history of biting (always growls and warns first). People see him as so cute and fluffy and don’t take his animal warnings to heart. If it was just myself and my husband he would be our forever dog, but I can not have him around our young children, and punishing him by not allowing him around always is not fair. Please help give him the home he needs. Experienced home needed. And again he had a history of biting while guarding food or when trying to grab food/treats from him.

Leon is a 5 yr old, 40lb doodle mix male. He was at the shelter where he came in as a stray. They treated him there for an ear infection and some mild skin inflammation which he is now recovered from. We did notice cloudiness on both eyes and were diagnosed with cataracts. Surgery was done to remove them and has recovered well but will need eye drops from now on. Leon is medium to high energy. He can be very playful with other playful dogs and loves to play fetch. Or, can cuddle up next to you just as well. He is also good with calm, friendly dogs. He has not been around cats or children, but would probably do well with kids over 7 years old. Leon becomes attached to his human and will follow them like a shadow. Can be a little stubborn and will growl when told no on occasion. At night time, he does well in a crate, but prefers sleeping next to you in bed. He may have separation anxiety at 1st, but with time and patience, he gets over it. We believe he would do good in a house with a big yard, another playful dog, or an experienced, active family.

This is Gracie, she is a 6 year old lab/Shepard mix and the most affectionate girl. She loves going for walks, car rides and belly rubs. She is 100% healthy and up to date on all shots, exams, heart worm, and flea/tick medication. She is house trained, has been in training with certified trainers, leash trained, and such a good girl! She is afraid of loud noises (like thunder and fireworks) and prefers to hide in a cozy nook during firework season. Gracie LOVES humans but she does not like strange dogs and would do best in a home without other pets.

Haus is a big 85 lb baby, and an amazing companion at home. He's independent, quiet, and loves to be around people, but isn't needy or distracting. He's also deceivingly intelligent; he learns new tricks very quickly, and will do anything for a treat! His favorite place to sleep is on your bed, if you let him-- but he's also a mattress hog and likes to take up half the space. ;) Haus is very intuitive and takes a bit of caution when meeting new people, but once he knows you, he's wonderfully protective and caring. He's a big couch snuggler and loves attention. He's quite literally perfectly behaved at home. Haus does struggle with leash reactivity on walks (with dogs especially), and he's wary of strangers and needs to be muzzled when out on leash. He loves going outside and exploring, so if you're an active, strong-bodied person who's willing to love him with his reactivity struggles, he'll be a perfect buddy! Haus is a very special gentleman who will consistently brighten your day with his infectious smile. He carries himself with the maturity and mellowness that come with age but still possesses a youthful joy for life. He is intelligent, sweet, playful, loving and obedient. Haus is happiest when getting plenty of exercise and is always ready to go on a long walk. He responds well to someone who is confident and calm. He will walk right at your side once that bond has been established. Haus is somewhat independent but he loves to be close to his people - and not just for the belly rubs. Haus should be the only dog but he fills his home with love.
