*PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org * Drake is loving life in his foster home, but now it’s time for him to find his furever family… We rescued Drake back in 2020. He is a 7 year old pup now and we guess he is a labradoodle mix. He was adopted a few years ago but recently, instead of contacting us to surrender the Drake back to us when they were unable to keep him, the adopter brought him to the shelter. Not only did they bring him to the shelter, they told the shelter to EUTHANIZE HIM!! Why? Because he is reactive/ doesn’t get along with small dogs, something they knew when they adopted him. Thankfully we were notified and able to get him back into our care quickly. He has been doing so well in foster and deserves to finally find the right people. Drake is a big boy (100+ pounds, but does need to lose some weight) and loves cuddles. He greatly enjoys long walks and car rides. He is super smart and food motivated. Drake is a go with the flow dude who just wants people to love. He would be best as the only animal in the home and with people committed to managing his reactivity. He is very easy to redirect with treats and will thrive with the right people. Drake is currently being fostered in Santa Monica, California area but can be adopted anywhere as long as you can come to SoCal and drive home. *PLEASE NOTE: The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application on our website roversretreat.org . Beppo was an owner surrender to a high kill shelter in a really bad area. He was well cared for, but the owner decided he just didn't want the responsibility. I'm so happy we were able to get him because the shelters have zero criteria for screening possible homes. Beppo is a fantastic, well behaved playful and happy boy. He is fostered with another doodle and having the time of his life. He would do best in an active home w/ boundaries and leadership. He would do wonderful as a hiking pal and a dog park player. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Presley is an 8 year old, 18 lb maltipoo! He is friendly with people and is excited to meet new people and get pet. However, he can be nippy if someone reaches out to touch him and he didn't ask for it. People need to let him come to them when he wants pets. He gets along with other dogs and loves to play with them outside of the home (dog parks, on walks, on play dates), but needs to be the only dog in the household. Also, no kids for this guy. Presley really bonds to his people but needs to learn boundaries from the beginning. He is a very sweet and cuddly dog on his terms, hes house trained, and hes good on a leash. He just needs some boundaries in the home to help curb the occasional behavior issues

Tammy is a beautiful 45 lb girl who just wants to be loved. She is 10 years old, and a lab/shepherd mix. She is very sweet, but shy. She is very loving, and will flip on her back for belly rubs! She also likes to plop herself down on the couch next to you and is an affectionate pup. She loooves her people, and everyone who as fostered her as fallen IN LOVE with her. She's a rescue favorite. Tammy loves treats and toys! Tammy is house trained, rides well in the car and walks nicely on a leash. She is so smart, and knows many tricks including sit, down, give paw, roll over, turn around. Shes so sweet and everyone who fosters her can't help but fall in love! She would do best as the only pet in the home. She is not reactive to dogs and has lived with them before, but has gone after a small dog on occasion.
