Story
DUCHESS Doodle Female Chocolate 2 years old 47 pounds Meet DUCHESS (Duthie) - your loving companion! DUCHESS is a cuddlebug who enjoys lounging on the couch and being close to her favorite human. Her affectionate nature makes her an ideal lap dog. She gets along well with other dogs and can engage in play for extended periods. If potential adopters have another dog, she would likely appreciate the companionship. Dutchie prefers a calm household, particularly with women. While she may take some time to warm up to men, she does eventually build trust with them. She's mostly house-trained and exhibits signals when she needs to go out. Crate training is a work in progress for Dutchie, but she seems to benefit from a properly covered crate. This can be further improved with patience and training. Hard chew toys and fabric-covered rubber toys are her favorites. She enjoys interactive play, making her a fun and engaging companion. She does fairly well on a leash when using a harness or Martingale collar. However, she may become vocal and pull when encountering other dogs or men. Positive reinforcement and consistent training can help her improve on walks. Dutchie experiences separation anxiety, which may result in barking. An adopter who works from home or can provide gradual training to ease her anxiety would be an excellent match. A secure, fenced yard is a must for Dutchie as it allows her to have a safe space to play and explore. While she enjoys playtime with dogs, she may not be comfortable in dog park settings. Active walks and positive reinforcement training are more suitable for her exercise needs. *Must have a FENCED-IN yard!* **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting DUCHESS please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application DUCHESS'S adoption donation is $995

Story
Personality: Loves saying "Hi" to strangers and other dogs, cuddling, running, and being beside his owner. A slightly anxious sweetheart. Curious. Not very vocal (does not bark at other dogs). He once found a net of rabbits in our old backyard and he licked them until they were damp. He was very curious and loving and silly. Ideal home: Only dog in the home. Space larger than a studio. Not home alone for too long, has an outdoorsy/active, patient and loving owner who can care for a dog who is sort of skittish and has separation anxiety (manifests as excessive paw licking). Special attention: Takes Clomicalm daily for anxiety. He stands and whines a bit in car rides, taking Dramamine prior to long drives helps immensely. Allergic to standard kibble and now eats Royal Canin Hyrdolyzed Protein. Treats: steamed produce, cooked meat, eggs, broth.

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. SALLY BROWN (named after a Shanty Boat song) is a wonderful pup... DOB estimated at 2/1/23 ...and probably a Lab/Hound mix. She is currently 45#s and expect to get to 60#s. She is very affectionate, sweet and wants to please you. She walks well on the leash and has many calm moments as well as puppy playful time. She gets along with people of all sorts, all dogs, and is curious about cats but did no more than sniff at mine. She wasn't very interested. She does have the hound-dog nose...searching everywhere. Do not leave grocery bags of food laying around. She is kennel trained and we are working on house training. She has had very few accidents but we are working on her letting us know she needs to go out. Sally is very correctable and takes it to heart. Sally is very affectionate and would love a couch to sleep on and lots of hugs. She will be great with a family with kids. She is just a pup so she does need lots of exercise... a back yard is important... plenty of interaction and plenty of love. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Name: Judge Sex: Male Estimated Age: About 2.5 years old Best Guess for Breed: Lab Mix Weight: 88 lbs Good With: Other dogs and people! Story: Judge originally came to us from a shelter in WV a couple years ago as a young puppy. He has recently been returned to us and is looking for a new loving home. Judge loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Judge is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. As a young dog, Judge will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! JUDGE’S PERFECT MATCH: PERFECT FAMILY: A home with 1-2 adults is ideal. Judge can be nervous when guests come over, and it will take a little time for him to settle down. We are recommending he not go to a home with small children. We do not know how he will do around cats. PERFECT HOME: One with a fenced in yard away from the bustling city would be ideal. EXERCISE NEEDS: Judge gets most of his exercise from his multiple outdoor walks. He is comfortable walking with a leash. BEHAVIOR IN HOME: Judge is very playful and loves attention. He can be shy around other humans and will keep his distance until he is comfortable. Patience and treats will work wonders! He loves lounging on the carpet or on the couch and uses the bathroom outside on his multiple walks - he’s potty trained! CRATE: Judge is used to his crate and is fine sleeping in there all night. If you think that Judge might be your perfect match, apply today!       December 5, 2023, 7:08 pm
