Fred is the perfect blend of playful and easygoing. He still has that youthful spark and enjoys having fun, but he also knows how to settle down nicely and relax with his people. He would likely enjoy having a canine companion, though he’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention himself.     With his fun-loving nature, Fred is the kind of dog who will quickly become a cherished member of the family. Now all he needs is a home where he’ll be loved forever — could that be with you?  Apply today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Louis is such a good boy! He is 4 1/2 years old and came to us as a rescue. His Origin story is a bit extensive, and I’m happy to share it, but it won’t fit here! We have 3 kids who he is fabulous with. He loves them. Some of the issues are that he gets excited and will jump around, knocking the baby over. Or pawing to play and get near her face. With plans for more kids, I don’t want him to spend his life mostly in a crate to keep my babies safe, my biggest concern here. That seems unfair to him. We also have military orders to move overseas, and while we would take him with us if we could figure out the behavior, he would not be allowed to go with us on the initial move and would need to wait up to 8 months to join us. This seems cruel for a dog who needs people. I think he would do well with older children and likely a dog friend to play with. Possibly a lot of land to run around on. He needs attention that he is currently not getting and it has shown in behavior.

Story
Adoption Day: June 13th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Meet Mole Hill (“Moe Moe”) Mole Hill is a calm, quiet, and gentle girl who is quickly learning what it means to be part of a loving home. While she may be a little shy at first, she has truly warmed up to her humans and loves following her foster sister, a Goldendoodle, around the house for comfort and guidance. Watching her confidence grow each day has been so rewarding! Mole Hill absolutely loves being outside and would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where she can safely spend time exploring, lounging, and “singing” her sweet little songs to the world. She even enjoys being outside in the rain! She doesn’t bark, but she does occasionally let out the cutest soft howl when she’s enjoying the outdoors. She would do especially well in a home with another friendly dog. Having a canine companion has helped her learn routines, become more comfortable with people, and even conquer new things like stairs. She loves to play, run around, and take cues from her furry friends. Mole Hill is doing wonderfully with house training and naturally prefers to use the bathroom outside. She already goes to the door to let you know when she wants to go out. She sleeps quietly in her crate through the night, enjoys her bath, and is quickly learning household routines. We’re currently helping her learn the doggie door, too! She appears to be on the smaller side for a Labradoodle, possibly a mini, making her a great size for many homes. Mole Hill is a sweet, gentle soul who will make a wonderful companion for a patient and loving family. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun! ##2743799##

Story
Chino is around 6-8 years old make poodle mix. I had him about 7 years but due to my family growing I no longer have time or space for him. He is great with kids and all people. He has become completely blind in one eye and going blind in the other. He as slight sensitive stomach and I feed him science diet food for that. He is starting to have dental issues as well. He does not do good with stairs especially in new places. Over all he is a good dog but our home is no longer the right home for him.
