She was sadly dumped at a shelter in Alabama alongside her brother, Clark. Despite this unfair start, Lois clearly shows signs of having once known a loving home and hasn’t let her past dim her wonderful spirit. Lois is incredibly friendly and affectionate with people and absolutely adores the company of other dogs. She’s social, gentle, and eager to connect, making her a joy to be around. At her young age, she’s in her prime for training and socialization and will thrive with a family ready to help her continue learning and growing. While Lois is currently heartworm positive, the good news is that K-9 Lifesavers is covering her treatment, and with a little rest, TLC, and patience, she’ll be feeling like her best self in no time. Lois will make an excellent addition to a loving home — and with a personality like hers, she won’t be available for long. Introducing Snowflake! Snowflake is a 2-year-old Labradoodle with the softest, fluffiest curls and the sweetest little teddy-bear face you’ve ever seen. He absolutely loves water (the hose and bath time are his jam!), enjoys romping around with his doggy friends, and is just as happy curling up for cuddle time. Snowflake has that fun, joyful personality that keeps you smiling without being overwhelming. He’s friendly with everyone—great with kids, cats, and other dogs—and he’s doing wonderfully with house training. Snowflake is neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to bring his curls, charm, and big heart to a forever family. Story
Sadie is a beautiful and energetic little lady from South Carolina, who is good with other dogs, cats, and kids! Sadie is still a bit of a puppy, with a desire to walk, sniff, and explore. She doesn't mind stopping along her walks for pets and snuggles and loves to climb into your lap and smother you with kisses. Sadie will need to learn to walk on leash, as she has likely never been trained. However, she does know the "sit" command, and she is very treat motivated, so she will be a willing student! We will update sweet Sadie's profile as we learn more about her. PAW adopts in the DC, MD, VA, and souther PA region. ##2616724##

Story
URGENT - needs foster! Meet Chuck – A PAW FAVORITE, Chuck is a loving boy with personality to spare!  Chuck is a handsome, playful 2-year-old brindle boy, who LOVES to play with other dogs. He is super patient with his canine friends, even littles! Weighing in at around 60 pounds Chuck is bursting with love. Despite his young age, Chuck developed cataracts and lost his vision—but thanks to the amazing team at PAW, he’s had eye surgery and is now discovering the world with fresh, bright eyes and a nose for fun. Because of his limited vision early in life, Chuck can be a little tentative when meeting new people. But he warms up quickly and shows his goofy, sweet, and fun-loving personality! He absolutely loves going for walks, exploring the yard, and doing zoomies (watch his video—it's guaranteed to make you smile). He’s patient, smart (he knows "sit" and is learning "down"), eager to please, and already crate trained and housebroken. Chuck would be fine as an only dog but he would love a brother or sister! Chuck is also very social—great with other dogs and people. His favorite things include peanut butter, music, and nose rubs. This oversized cuddlebug thrives on love and companionship and would make a wonderful addition to just about any family—especially one with another dog, as he’s been thriving in a foster home with canine pals. Can you be the one to help him continue adjusting to life now that he can see? PAW will provide training to support his adopter.  Let’s help Chuck see how beautiful life can be—with you by his side. ##2331889##

Story
Van is the rock star of dogs.  He is a showstopper!  But we all know it isn't (just) about looks - and Van has the whole package.  He is sweet, loving, smart and adores humans and dogs.  At a year old and 32 pounds, Van is a great size and age to join your household!  Van's foster tells us he’s such a smart pup and knows sit, down, crawl, paw, touch, find, and spin. He’s working on “eyes on me,” follow, place, and stay. When he gets wound up, he responds to “get it together.” If you tell him “get your toy” he’s able to redirect himself the majority of the time.  He is housebroken and will put himself in the crate when he needs a little downtime.  He’s been very friendly with dogs of all sizes and he wants to play with every dog he meets. He can get a bit overexcited during play but responds very well when a dog corrects him.  He is working on learning to sit and stay calm when a dog passes him while on a walk. As a young dog he will need a family who is willing to continue training and give him the exercise and play that a young dog needs.  Apply today - this rock star will not be around for long!  PAW adopts to northern VA, southern PA, DC, and MD. ##2532462##
