WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Lola - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I am with another rescue that is having a family emergency. If interested in adopting me, Hay Dude Rescue will pull me into their rescue to complete my adoption. My name is Lola and if you're in search of a gorgeous active gal that is as beautiful inside as out, look no further! I am around a year old and very sweet, active and playful. I do fantastic with everyone... other dogs, people and even those weird smelling creatures y'all call a cat. I would make a great addition for just about any family that is looking for a sweetie to add joy to their life. I will need to have a home with no kids or kids that are older. I'm a sweetie but get very excited when playing or when you come home. I can get a little mouthy, which comes from my young age. We are working on my manners but will need strict parents to keep up my work in progress. I am already house trained so that will leave lots of time for us to get right to the fun stuff. I do love going for my walks whether it's around the neighborhood or going on a sniffari on nature trails. I AM NOT a couch potato and will need an active family that will provide me lots of daily exercise, playtime and adventures. I come in at around 45lb of pure love, 45lbs of happy to see you, 45lbs of tail wags and those melt your heart puppy dog eyes, 45lbs of I'm ready for whatever you're up to doing!! Are you in search of a family addition that will be there by your side, a constant in your life thru all your daily going on's? A BFF to share your joys, sorrows and your adventures? WAIT, stop scrolling, I am that gal!!!

Name: Teddy Breeds: Labradoodle Age: Puppy Sex: Male Size: Large when fully grown Teddy is a 5 month old Labradoodle surrendered by a home that loved him but knew that he needed more than they could give him. He is such a fabulous puppy! He loves everyone he meets immediately and without hesitation. He is good with other dogs and fine with cats. He is doing very well on his housetraining and crates perfectly for the workday. Teddy is a snuggler and loves to cuddle! He also loves toys, walks, and being silly just like any puppy. He is still a puppy so his home should plan for continued training and socialization to keep shaping him into the best dog he can be. Teddy is expected to be a large sized dog as an adult. Doodles have high maintenance coats and her adopters will need to commit to brushing multiple times a week and grooming professionally every 6-8 weeks. Requirements: Training sign up recommended Adoption Fee: $850 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives. Story
Moose is a loving, kind dog. Moose’s dream day would be a morning jog, a chance to steal butter off the kitchen counter, snuggles on the couch, and an evening walk. He has a lot of energy and needs to go to a home that can take him for runs or long walks. He’s great with other dogs (spends a LOT of time at the cabin with a very energetic German shorthair) and cats (lives with one now who he plays with and cuddles). He’s very unsure of kids but has never done anything to harm one. We have a one year old that pulls his hair and moose seems to hate it but has never snapped back. Moose barks a LOT and needs to have a yard. He’s not meant to be an apartment dog. Moose can be a bit of a menace. He loves human food and will break into the garbage if given the chance. He’ll steal food right off the counter when you aren’t looking. We are rehoming moose because I’m pregnant with our second baby and don’t have the ability to provide moose the energy and love he deserves.

Story
Sig is a 3 year old, 55lb, neutered male labradoodle. His birthday is 02/22/2021 and he was gifted to me as a birthday present. He loves my 9yo and has lived with other dogs without issue. He does resource guard, so he does best when fed in his kennel, which he sleeps in and stays in when I’m away from home. He is the epitome of labradoodle - loves to swim but hates when getting his feet wet. Sig will be much happier if he can find a home that is not an apartment. My son and I moved to an apartment last fall for a multitude of reasons and apartment life isn’t settling with Sig. There are too many unknown people, dogs, and sounds so he can’t quite figure out his place. Additionally, I’ve had two hip surgeries so taking him out down the stairs is a challenge. Loose leash walking can use some work - smells are just so exciting! He knows sit, down, wait, go mat, go kennel, off. While a doodle, he does shed so is not hypoallergenic. My priority is Sig getting the home he needs.

Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $100.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi! I'm Buddy and I am an owner surrender. I am deaf, but that doesn't stop me from being an amazing boy! From the Foster: Photos and Videos of Buddy: https://photos.app.goo.gl/uvmNj7g9YXB925CU9 Buddy's dream day would start and end with head scritches and belly rubs, followed by a walk to sniff around a quiet neighborhood, fueled by lots of treats. He'd then take a long car ride on the highway, return home to more head scritches and belly rubs, and enjoy chewing on a bone in his bed before a nap. He's used to having a human companion around for most of the day. He does all right for up to 4-5 hours alone, though if there is food accessible to him, he will find it and eat it. He's a loyal guy who will love his people well and do his best to protect you from squirrels, postal carriers, dogs on the TV, and package delivery trucks. He's friendly towards people, and very food motivated. He's a senior dog who knows what he wants and will communicate it. He's had to navigate some health challenges and can be a bit stubborn or crabby about being unable to do what he wants. Buddy would do best as the only pet in a quiet home, with someone who wants a loyal companion for daily walks, and time together. We have yet to make formal introductions to any other dogs or cats, when we encounter them in the neighborhood, he has a big bark and is learning how to be less reactive. Buddy would do best in a house with no shared walls.

Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $200.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi I'm Goldie and I'm from a reservation. From the Foster: Hi I'm Goldie! Let's get the obvious out of the way first...if you adopt me, you not only get a super snuggly pup but also my amazing chariot. In lots of ways, I'm your typical pup...or maybe even an exceptional one! I love to snuggle and get pets & belly rubs. Sometimes my foster mom will boost me up on the sofa for even better snuggling & then I'm in heaven! I keep her company and take my afternoon nap close by in her office. I love to hang out on our deck in good weather and I love my 'up time' in my chariot when I run around the backyard, play with the other pups, chase balls or play tug of war. If I can get out of the house & yard, I am a very happy girl! I love going for walks and love, love, love car rides! If you are a runner or a biker, I'm a bit of a speed demon in my chariot and can keep up with you if you want some company on your walk or ride! And I love my toys...I have a set of four, including my favorite Hamburger that go out on the deck with me and then keep my company when I go to bed. Once a week, my foster mom gets me a delicious bone! If I have that or the chew toys, I don't chew on things I shouldn't! So some other things you need to know about me & my chariot: I stay quietly in my room overnight and in the morning my foster mom helps hold me up so I can pee on a puppy pad. I can't poop while she's holding me, so I have one spot in the house I tend to head to do that business if I can't get outside. Foster mom says it's really easy to clean up...very contained & solid. In the house, I tend to not use my chariot & just scoot. While diapers work if I'm in the chariot, they don't stay on well when I scoot. If I want you to come pet me, I may give a bark or two...its easier to get you to come than to have to scoot too far. I will also help let you know if someone is at the door. While I love my foster dad, I am initially more comfortable with women. Maybe because one of them shot me, men need to go slowly to make me know I can trust them. I'm learning to be a bit less nervous about some loud things like motorcycles, lawn mowers, & fireworks, although I feel pretty safe in the house now...they worry me more outside. My foster mom wanted to add this: Goldie has some exercises she can do that will continue to help strengthen her legs, but it isn't clear how much more improvement she will make But Goldie is the sweetest thing in the house and if you sit on the floor, she'll climb in your lap for all the pets & snuggles she can get. So if you'd like to come meet 'the sweetest thing in the world' and give me some snuggles & pets, fill out the application! I'd love to show you how lovable & snuggly I am! From the vet team: Hello! I arrived at Secondhand Hounds with a bullet wound that resulted in a spine injury and bilateral hip dysplasia. This injury has prevented me from being able to use my back limbs (nonambulatory paraparesis). I have been working with a physical therapist and I received x-rays during my care with the SHH vet team. It is important for my future adopters to know that there is a risk for my hip joint to become dislocated . Since I am not walking on my rear limbs this may never be a concern but depending on the weight that is placed on my rear limbs this is a possibility. My future adopter will be financially responsible for possible future orthopedic surgery or medical management needs.

Story
I am Tyler. I am from Missouri. From the foster: Tyler (TieDye) is a very sweet, curious, almost one year old puppy! He knows to "sit, "stay, "come and "leave it. He's high energy at times, but also snoozes a lot and loves to snuggle in and watch a show. House trained and sleeps through the night without needing to go outside. Does well with a mix of dry and wet dog food (Pedigree is what we've stuck with), and treats between meals. Crates well after some initial hesitation and resistance. He will at times go into his crate on his own when super tired. He loves going on walks and does pretty well on a leash. Still working on not pulling when he sees other dogs especially. He responds well to "leave it and redirection. Plays super well with our neighbor dog, and I'd think with other dogs as he gets to know them. He loves soccer balls and plays well with both my eight and twelve year old. Ty loves to give kisses and can get a bit mouthy when seeking attention, and we are continuing to work on that. Also working on having him not jump on us when he's super excited to see us. Ty is incredibly sweet and has stolen our hearts! My kids are ready to adopt him, and I'm considering it deeply as well while recognizing the work and energy that is needed. In the meantime, above are updates and thoughts on this little puppster. Happy to clarify as needed. Feel free to wordsmith of course. Thank you!
