Sugar Plum is as sweet as her name implies and she has tons of personality! Her mom is a small B&W rat terrier mix and dad is a doodle. Mom was taken in as a stray by a lady with an unaltered doodle. Before she could find a rescue to help with mom, she became pregnant. Sugar Plum is friendly, loving and smart! she is great with other dogs and people of all ages. She has not been around a cat yet but we are confident she will be fine with proper intro. Sugar is healthy, UTD on puppy shots and worming. She will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. Based on puppy weight calculators we think she will be 40 to 50 lbs. Louie is a 6 year old black mini labradoodle that is 30 lbs. We got him from a breeder in Ellsworth, WI. Louie is very healthy and fit. We give him tick medicine monthly, brush his teeth every night, brush his hair (he does shed some), clip his nails, give him regular exercise, etc. He has regular vet check ups and has all of his necessary vaccines. He is a high energy dog. He is very lovable and loves adults and some dogs that he is familiar with. He does not like to be approached by other dogs when he is on a leash. Louie attended puppy kindergarten through Augusta Dog Training and was sent to a month long board-in through Augusta when he was 2 years old for training with socialization and general training. He is very obedient and a good listener. We can have him off leash on hikes and he stays by us. We have to unfortunately rehome him because he is not getting along with our 14 month old daughter. We know he will thrive with a different family dynamic. He is a great dog.

Welcome Apollo to CCPAL Rescue. Apollo is a 12 month old lab/Black Mouth Cur or Shepherd mix dog. He weighs about 40 pounds and has now been moved into the rescue from the Samaritan that found him. She found the entire litter of puppies and has fostered them until we had space. We have already adopted out 4 of this litter. Milo is one of their brothers. Apollo and his brother Orion are very lucky to now be in the rescue. They will get daily interaction with people and a nice routine so they can get used to structure. They were found by a very nice woman but she was too busy to work with the pups. They were and are well cared for but we will be working on leash manners and getting into a daily routine. It is amazing what attention and direction does for a dog. Apollo is good with other dogs. He has lived mostly outdoors but now is getting used to being in a kennel and doing some leash walk training. Apollo is a large dog but on the smaller side of large. He is a little shy at the moment but I do think he will do what all the others in this litter have done, blossom. He could be with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Apollo would be a great walking partner and right now his best home is someone who wants a companion. He would love one on one attention and direction. He responds well and bonds deeply to his human. His adoption fee is $300 and transport is $200 if we work with the transporters to deliver him to one of their stops. . Weighing around 15 pounds and estimated to be about 3 and a half years old, Bitsy is soaking up the comfort of a calm, safe home—something she may be experiencing for the first time. She’s incredibly well-mannered and has had perfect potty habits from the start, always going outside when carried to the yard. While she’s still gaining confidence, Bitsy is already showing signs of trust, happily resting in her cozy bed and allowing gentle handling, even during bath time. She’s not quite sure what to make of toys or treats just yet, but every day she’s learning and observing. Bitsy gets along with calm, respectful dogs, though she would likely prefer a peaceful home where she can be the center of someone’s quiet world or share space with a gentle canine companion. She hasn’t had much experience with leashes or exploring new environments, so a fenced yard is a must while she continues to build confidence. What Bitsy lacks in boldness, she makes up for in sweetness. She’s a soft, soulful girl who is ready to bond with someone patient and loving. At 14 pounds and 13 inches tall, he’s the perfect size for lap cuddles—and once he trusts you, he’ll happily claim that spot! Rigel is low-to-moderate energy, low-shedding, and very big on love once he feels safe. Rigel is still learning that the world isn’t so scary. He’s shy and skittish at first, especially around men or anyone standing nearby. He’s most comfortable with women and prefers calm, quiet environments where he can build trust at his own pace. But if you’re patient, Rigel will reward you tenfold with affection, snuggles, and a sweet little paw to your hand asking for more love. He especially enjoys lounging in a cozy dog bed, following his person around the house, and curling up next to you in bed (he’s a pro with the dog ramp!). Rigel gets along beautifully with other respectful dogs and even cats. He’s starting to play with his foster siblings and would thrive in a home with another confident, friendly dog to show him the ropes. He’s not fully potty trained yet, and leash walks are still a work in progress, so a fenced yard is a must—especially since he’s nervous about doorways and can be a bit of a flight risk. He’s come a long way already, bravely running out to the yard on his own and returning like a champ.
