Meet Baxter 🐾 Baxter is a sweet, affectionate boy who takes his job as a professional snuggler very seriously! Give him some attention and he’ll happily soak it all up. And if you stop petting him before he’s ready, don’t be surprised if he gently paws at you to let you know he’s not finished yet. ❤️ Baxter loves being outside, enjoying tasty treats, and having a good chew toy nearby. He’s also a great little travel buddy who rides nicely in the car and walks well on a leash. Baxter enjoys the company of other dogs, but he’s just as happy hanging out with his people. He would do best in a home with another friendly dog to keep him company and help him feel comfortable. When meeting new people, Baxter can be a little timid at first, but it doesn’t take him long to warm up. Once he does, his affectionate personality really shines! Baxter is crate-trained and stays comfortably crated when his people are away. He’s a loving, easygoing companion who would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loyal cuddle buddy. All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. Story
We are seeking a new home for Lily as she is struggling to adapt to her new human sibling. She is incredibly loving and affectionate! She loves nothing more than to snuggle in and lick your face. She loves having her ears and her white spot scratched almost as much as she loves to swim or chew a bone. She thrives on time outside, playing tug, and running at the dog park. Lily has a history of anxiety and resource guarding, and takes a daily anxiety pill. We got her from a shelter as a puppy, and she has some shelter quirks. Her ideal home would be somewhere she could snooze all day, then walk and play in the evening, preferably in a fenced-in yard. She will do best with no other animals and no children. She can be leash reactive, but typically does great on walks. She is vocal, so someone who is unbothered by barks would be great for her. She loves to cuddle, but usually only on her terms; we describe her as a "cat of a dog" in that way. In short, Lily is sweet, stubborn, and clever.

Story
Lola is a five year old lab-pit mix that we adopted as a puppy. She was part of an accidental litter (farm dogs). She is high energy and great with children. Great for someone who is active and needs a work out partner. Great home protector. She is micro-chipped and fixed. Up to date on shots. Crate trained and can be left alone while at work or school. She’s a great family pet.

Story
Sandwich is a one-year-old bundle of energy, fun, and cuddles! She’s an active girl who loves to go, go, go. She does well on walks and is always ready for her next adventure. She especially enjoys patrolling the yard and would happily spend as much time outside as possible. With all that energy, Sandwich would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise, playtime, and opportunities to explore. After she’s had a good romp outside, she’s more than happy to settle down and relax. Sandwich is house-trained and sleeps wonderfully in her kennel all night. She’s also a big fan of chew toys and stuffies—although her stuffies don’t tend to last very long! She’s also a self-proclaimed expert shoe thief, so keeping footwear out of reach is probably a good idea. Car rides can make Sandwich a little antsy, especially after she’s eaten, but after some exercise she’s much more likely to curl up and snooze. When the day winds down, Sandwich shows off her softer side. She loves pets, snuggles, and being close to her people. She firmly believes she is a lap dog, and with her incredibly soft fur, she may have a point! When meeting other dogs, Sandwich will need slow, patient introductions. She really wants to play, but she’s still learning how to read and respect other dogs’ cues. She’ll do best with people who are willing to give her time to get comfortable and help her learn appropriate play manners. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion who will keep you laughing, keep you active, and then happily snuggle up with you at the end of the day, Sandwich might just be your girl!       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, dental, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
