Story
Louie is a 6 year old black mini labradoodle that is 30 lbs. We got him from a breeder in Ellsworth, WI. Louie is very healthy and fit. We give him tick medicine monthly, brush his teeth every night, brush his hair (he does shed some), clip his nails, give him regular exercise, etc. He has regular vet check ups and has all of his necessary vaccines. He is a high energy dog. He is very lovable and loves adults and some dogs that he is familiar with. He does not like to be approached by other dogs when he is on a leash. Louie attended puppy kindergarten through Augusta Dog Training and was sent to a month long board-in through Augusta when he was 2 years old for training with socialization and general training. He is very obedient and a good listener. We can have him off leash on hikes and he stays by us. We have to unfortunately rehome him because he is not getting along with our 14 month old daughter. We know he will thrive with a different family dynamic. He is a great dog.

Story
My aunt got him for her kids but when she started working at her own store, she started not having time to take good care of him. I’ve been trying to help her find a new home but it’s been very hard. He is such a wonderful baby and we want the best for him! He can be very loud. He starts crying when you leave him alone in his crate. He loves walks and playing with everyone. Currently he is on dry food but he will adapt to wet food quite well. He loves cuddles and beef sticks. I think you’ll need to train him with the barking and trying to be okay going in the crates. He’s a lovely baby and we hope we can find a wonderful home for him who will love him as much as he loves them!

Story
I adopted Bonnie from the Humane Society November 2023. She was born in October 2020. Bonnie is a beautiful, loving dog but needs a more active family. I am a 71 y/o woman with arthritis & 2 knee replacements.She craves attention / interaction with her owner. At the time I adopted Bonnie I had 2 other elderly dogs at home. They have since both passed away. The last, Kansas, passed away earlier this year. Since then Bonnie has become more fearful of other dogs when we go on walks. She is very active and loves to go on walks. She is very strong and is very intent on chasing squirrels, rabbits, turkeys, etc we see on our walks. This has resulted in her pulling me off my feet. I switched her to a prone collar and we can now walk safely. She does still walk faster than I wish. I have a fenced in back yard and she has a doggy door so she can go out anytime. Unfortunately I have rabbits that "live" under my deck and Bonnie has killed 2 of them. She doesn't eat them though.

Story
Ponch is the sweetest boy. He's a great companion and will follow you everywhere you go, just wanting to be with you. He's smart and trainable. He is food motivated and loves to get lots of treats. Ponch is good with our two other dogs and cat, but he has not done the best at the dog park. He barked at other dogs but did not seem aggressive. We think with a little training he will do fine in that setting. We rescued Poncho from being abandoned at a lake and have been fostering him for a few months. He was skin and bones when we found him, but now he is back to a normal weight. We named him Ponch because we think he looks like Ponch from the show CHIPS (Eric Estrada :) He does have some separation anxiety but has not chewed things up, just cries. He is not kennel trained yet. He LOVES to cuddle. Overall, he is a big lover with a heart of gold and is a very handsome boy. He is very loyal to his people, and we want to keep him but just do not have the time he needs and deserves.

This big, goofy girl thrives in the company of other dogs—seriously, she thinks doggy playdates should be a full-time job and she’s the CEO. Cats? No problem. Chickens? Well… let’s just say Daisy Mae believes they’re suspicious little feathered aliens and she’d rather not negotiate peace treaties with them.   She’s got all the basics down—potty trained, kennel trained, and polite enough that you won’t find your favorite shoes mysteriously “remodeled.” What she’s really looking for is a family who will match her zest for life, whether that’s tackling trails, showing off at the dog park, or pretending she’s a 70-pound lapdog when the day winds down.
