Story
Moose is a loving, kind dog. Moose’s dream day would be a morning jog, a chance to steal butter off the kitchen counter, snuggles on the couch, and an evening walk. He has a lot of energy and needs to go to a home that can take him for runs or long walks. He’s great with other dogs (spends a LOT of time at the cabin with a very energetic German shorthair) and cats (lives with one now who he plays with and cuddles). He’s very unsure of kids but has never done anything to harm one. We have a one year old that pulls his hair and moose seems to hate it but has never snapped back. Moose barks a LOT and needs to have a yard. He’s not meant to be an apartment dog. Moose can be a bit of a menace. He loves human food and will break into the garbage if given the chance. He’ll steal food right off the counter when you aren’t looking. We are rehoming moose because I’m pregnant with our second baby and don’t have the ability to provide moose the energy and love he deserves.

Story
Name: Teddy Breeds: Labradoodle Age: Puppy Sex: Male Size: Large when fully grown Teddy is a 5 month old Labradoodle surrendered by a home that loved him but knew that he needed more than they could give him. He is such a fabulous puppy! He loves everyone he meets immediately and without hesitation. He is good with other dogs and fine with cats. He is doing very well on his housetraining and crates perfectly for the workday. Teddy is a snuggler and loves to cuddle! He also loves toys, walks, and being silly just like any puppy. He is still a puppy so his home should plan for continued training and socialization to keep shaping him into the best dog he can be. Teddy is expected to be a large sized dog as an adult. Doodles have high maintenance coats and her adopters will need to commit to brushing multiple times a week and grooming professionally every 6-8 weeks. Requirements: Training sign up recommended Adoption Fee: $850 + tax. This includes neuter/spay, current vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm/tick testing in dogs over 8 months of age, deworming, microchip and current Heartgard and Nexgard preventatives. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Lola - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! I am with another rescue that is having a family emergency. If interested in adopting me, Hay Dude Rescue will pull me into their rescue to complete my adoption. My name is Lola and if you're in search of a gorgeous active gal that is as beautiful inside as out, look no further! I am around a year old and very sweet, active and playful. I do fantastic with everyone... other dogs, people and even those weird smelling creatures y'all call a cat. I would make a great addition for just about any family that is looking for a sweetie to add joy to their life. I will need to have a home with no kids or kids that are older. I'm a sweetie but get very excited when playing or when you come home. I can get a little mouthy, which comes from my young age. We are working on my manners but will need strict parents to keep up my work in progress. I am already house trained so that will leave lots of time for us to get right to the fun stuff. I do love going for my walks whether it's around the neighborhood or going on a sniffari on nature trails. I AM NOT a couch potato and will need an active family that will provide me lots of daily exercise, playtime and adventures. I come in at around 45lb of pure love, 45lbs of happy to see you, 45lbs of tail wags and those melt your heart puppy dog eyes, 45lbs of I'm ready for whatever you're up to doing!! Are you in search of a family addition that will be there by your side, a constant in your life thru all your daily going on's? A BFF to share your joys, sorrows and your adventures? WAIT, stop scrolling, I am that gal!!!

These pups are in Saint Paul, Minnesota too!

Story
Smokey is 3 and was raised from a pup by me. Smokey is a very affectionate and playful boy. He prefers the company of humans to dogs, but does play with other dogs. He can play a bit too rough though and doesn't know how to dial it back, so I would recommend not allowing kids or frail adults to play with him (hugging and petting him is totally okay). He gets super excited seeing friends and family and will jump on them to say hi. I recommend keeping him leashed when greeting kids, frail adults, or smaller dogs. He is trained with basics like (heel, sit, place, etc.), but is stubborn. He listens well to his owner (me) and other people who are consistent with his training. Unfortunately, he does know which people he can get away with naughty behavior and will take advantage and push boundaries with such people. I recommend getting all family and friends on board with his training. He resource guards stinky item (trade high value treat or sweet talk to get him to drop stinky item).

Story
Pat and her siblings were born in late January to a mixed breed mommy. Daddy was a ‘traveling man’ who we suspect was a handsome stranger who took no responsibility whatsoever for his actions. The first impression the puppies give is lab cross and they have little webbed toes for swimming and their coats are very lab-like. Everyone in the litter has a lovely white blaze on their chest which is typical of border collies, and the petfinder breed identifier says Patterdale Terrier, so that is what we are going with. DNA testing on dogs from the area often have 20 or more breeds and invariably have some German Shepherd, some herding dog and, surprisingly, many have a wee bit of Chihuahua. The puppy’s family kept the mom and PUP will pay for her to be spayed. They surrendered the puppies because they were living outside and an eagle was lurking about making the puppy’s situation precarious at best. Pat is black, white and brindle. She is crated at night and 4-5 hours during the work day. She is used to going outside to potty but she is not yet fully housebroken. She is playful and has an average energy level. She is by far the smallest of the litter and we expect her to be a mid-sized dog when she is fully grown, but her adopter should be prepared to love her if she is a bit larger or smaller than predicted. The early months are when puppy learns the social skills needed to be a skilled dog in dealing with other dogs and a good citizen in the human world. Adopters should be committed to getting puppy into lots of new and different human social situations, hearing vacuums, trucks, and rattling garbage cans, meeting people who are clapping, laughing, with hats, tools, bikes and skate boards. AND puppy needs many opportunities to meet and greet dogs of all shapes, sizes and dispositions. Just sharing a home with another dog is not as much doggie socializing as puppy needs. If good canine social skills are not learned and maintained during these early months, it will be very difficult to ever master them. Puppy play dates, trips to the pet store, puppy socialization classes and later, obedience classes are particularly important. If all this doggie time and involvement seems like a good idea, you are up for a puppy! As always, a tired dog is a good dog. Pat has been vaccinated and wormed. She will need two more routine vaccination plus rabies at the owner’s expense. The $375 adoption fee (check or cash) includes the cost of pup’s required spay/neuter at 6 months of age provided it is done by the PUP vet. We do place puppies outside the metro area but a plan for the required spay/neuter must be in place. We do not ship. If you are at least 21 years old and everyone in your household is on board with adopting a puppy, CALL 651-645-4370 between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm and we will return your call within 24 hours. If you elect to contact us via e-mail it may take several weeks for us to get back to you. Renters must provide proof that you are allowed to have a puppy. If you currently have a companion dog or cat please be prepared to provide a vet reference prior to adoption if requested.
