Story
Meet Teddy, a 3-month-old German Shepherd and Lab mix with a soft golden coat, a gentle personality, and an even bigger heart. This handsome boy is looking for a loving family ready to help him continue building his confidence while enjoying all of life's adventures. As Teddy has settled into foster care, his true personality has really started to shine. Without his sister around, he's shown everyone that he's actually a very laid-back, easygoing guy. While he enjoys the occasional burst of zoomies around the yard, he's much more interested in snuggling up for a nap or relaxing by your side. True to his name, Teddy is as soft and cuddly as a teddy bear and loves stretching out with his head resting on his favorite person's feet.Teddy absolutely adores kids of all ages. He's incredibly patient and gentle, happily letting little ones pet him, hold him, and even carry him around. His foster family has been taking him to their son's soccer games, and he has been the perfect companion. Despite being surrounded by lots of people, excited children, and other dogs, Teddy stays calm, quietly watches all the activity, and usually ends up snoozing before the game is over. This sweet pup also does well with cats, showing curiosity while respecting their boundaries. While Teddy would be perfectly happy as the only dog, if he joins a home with another canine companion, that dog should be calm, confident, and patient enough to help him continue building his confidence.Teddy is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night. He is also making great progress with his potty training and continues to improve every day with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement. He's a smart boy who is eager to learn and thrives with a predictable routine.Teddy enjoys spending time outdoors exploring the yard, rolling in the grass, and chewing on sturdy toys while he works through teething. He'll benefit from regular exercise and would love a home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and play. Because he enjoys being close to his people and can be vocal when left alone, he is not the best fit for homes with shared walls. If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate puppy who loves children, enjoys both adventures and lazy afternoons, and has the sweetest, most easygoing personality, Teddy could be the perfect addition to your family. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, this special boy will grow into a loyal, devoted companion. If you are interested in Teddy, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550.
