Please meet this sweet, gentle, soul girl Messi. While her brother Lionel is the life of the party, Messi is the sweet, thoughtful sister who prefers to take in the world at her own pace. This beautiful 7 month old, 27 pound Doodle/Terrier mix has a gentle heart and is looking for a patient family that will help her blossom into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Messi may be a little reserved when meeting new people or exploring new places, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine. She finds comfort in the company of other dogs and would truly thrive in a home with a confident canine companion who can show her that the world isn’t so scary. With love, patience, and a furry best friend by her side, Messi’s confidence grows a little more every day. Messi isn’t looking for perfection—she’s looking for someone willing to cheer her on as she discovers just how wonderful life can be. If you have a loving home and a friendly canine companion ready to be her guide, Messi will reward you with quiet loyalty, unconditional love, and the joy of watching a shy dog truly come into her own. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
