Sammy is a loving, affectionate, and cuddly 4-year-old Labradoodle (65 lbs) who bonds closely with her people and loves long walks and time outdoors. She is house trained, listens well, up to date on vaccines, and gets along great with other animals. Sammy has a lot of energy and would thrive with an active owner and a home with more space or ideally a yard. Sammy also has OCD and can become intensely focused on shadows and reflections, which requires patience and an owner who understands and can manage this behavior. She is intersex (hermaphrodite) and we are currently working with the Animal Medical Center in NYC regarding possible spay options. We live in a small Midtown apartment with two young children and sadly cannot give her the space she deserves. Midtown Manhattan — no rehoming fee. Personality & Characteristics:Br'er is a truly wonderful, sweet dog. He is great with other dogs and cats, and just loves getting pets and cuddles. He has good leash manners (we are working on heeling to one side and making progress!) Br'er is a fantastic walking and running buddy and makes my daily lap around Central Park so much more fun. He is house trained and goes to the bathroom outside with no issue, except the fact that he prefers to do his business on grass as opposed to the concrete. He can be left alone during the work day and sleeps through the night. Not a huge fan of his crate but will get in if coaxed with treats. Br'er is genuinely such a loving and friendly dog and would make any family so happy. ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. She is a happy dog with people but something of a bossypants with other dogs, so Daisy would do better as an only dog. She is about 10 years old and still spry and healthy; she loves to go outside and walks well on the leash. She is house-trained and knows "sit", "lie down", and "come" commands. Daisy is a city girl who came from Brooklyn, where her owner couldn't take care of her due to illness. She weighs 60 lbs. and is no longer interested in toys or chewing. Usually quiet at home, she will bark to alert her family to the presence of others, but enjoys meeting people. She loves our neighbor's kids and they love her. They are older elementary and middle school age….I haven't had a chance to see how she is with younger children. Daisy wants to be the only dog in her home, she likes seeing other dogs outdoors. At her foster home she has gotten used to living with a cat.She also just stares at us if she wants something. She has such cute eyes! If you want a dog to snuggle with on the couch, or to just hang out while she sleeps on her dog bed, Daisy is the dog for you.
