Waldo has officially finished his 21 day board and train and is so excited to show off his new tricks to potential adopters. He is a high energy guy who would love a job to keep his brain busy :) He is a great dog! Introducing Waldo, the spirited boy seeking a special someone! Rescued many days ago, Waldo's journey includes overcoming some challenges, including leash reactivity and few quirks that he needs worked with. Rescued and fostered with boundless love, Waldo's journey has seen him getting into a few sticky situations, which only highlight his need for guidance and understanding. However, with the right patient and dedicated owner willing to invest in his training and socialization, Waldo promises to be a loyal companion. His goofy charm, intelligence, and love for people make him a loving companion for the right person. Are you ready to give Waldo the understanding and commitment he deserves? Waldo is a goofy pit mix! He is an amazing learner, but get overstimulated when other dogs are around. He can be a bit hyper but wears down with fetch. He has honestly been doing do great in foster care! However he is very used to a routine and would benefit from more socialization. He has wonderful potential and we believe will be the perfect fit for someone who can recognize his puppy nature and help him work through it. He gets along well with dogs, but seems to mimic their behavior. He does do good with dogs, and I think he would benefit from having a dog friend to play with. Ava (affectionately known as AvaCado or AvaBear) is a sweet, sensitive, and playful beauty with a heart as big as Colorado’s blue skies. Originally hailing from Houston, she has fully embraced the Colorado lifestyle and is thriving in it! Ava is wonderfully energetic and would make an incredible hiking or running partner (fair warning: she may be slightly ahead of you helping set the pace 😉). She loves walks and car rides, and overall her leash manners are solid for her age. She enjoys stopping to sniff all the good smells and is eager to greet both people and other dogs. She’s still learning not to pull, but she’s already ahead of many pups her age and improving every day. Because of her energy level, Ava would love a backyard where she can stretch her legs and zoom to her heart’s content — but it’s not a strict requirement. What she truly needs is an active home committed to giving her regular exercise, adventure, and mental engagement. Whether that’s trail walks, neighborhood strolls, or weekend mountain outings, Ava is happiest when she has an outlet for her enthusiasm. Ava absolutely adores other dogs and doesn’t seem to have an alpha bone in her body. She currently lives with a cat and is very fixated — likely out of playful curiosity — but we believe she may ultimately do best in a home without feline friends unless her future family is committed to consistent training and careful management. Her previous foster shared that Ava was trustworthy enough to free roam and was not destructive. We are continuing her kennel training to help set her up for long-term success. She already knows “sit” and “shake,” takes treats with the gentlest mouth, and shows no signs of food aggression. even during shared feeding time with her temporary canine sister. Ava is truly a special dog. With continued loving guidance and positive reinforcement, she is absolutely destined to become someone’s once-in-a-lifetime “heart dog.” Ava is a 1-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $350 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. Ava is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. She would do best in a home without cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
