Story
Sariel is named after the guardian angel of the departed because he stayed and watched over his sister's dead body after both had been dumped next to a highway. Unfortunately his sister was hit and killed. When approached by rescuers, he was immediately friendly and wanted to attention. He was not aggressive or protective when they approached her body but he was very reluctant to leave the area. According to ChatGPT this is what is says about him: "What his behavior tells us (this matters more than labels) Low reactivity – not defensive or possessive High social attachment – pack-oriented Emotionally sensitive – these dogs feel loss deeply Likely very trainable with relationship-based training Probably not high prey drive (would’ve shown interest in movement rather than staying)" Here is a video of when he was found: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/oIS-hdK3a2I According to my vet is about a year old and according to ChatGPT he is a lab/boxer/pit/chow mix. He is the happiest, friendliest boy and is very dog and people friendly. He weighs 55 lbs and is absolutely stunning. He will be your best friend. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tacoma, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Wisconsin (Eau Claire and Portage) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $500 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
I am currently in foster. Hi! My name is Wunny Sharbit. I am a lab mix. I have a typically energetic lab personality. I am a love bug! I have loved everyone I’ve met, adults, kids and dogs alike. I am very treat motivated so I would be eager to learn and train. I have a lot of energy and might be a little much for really young children but would make a wonderful addition to any family, especially if you have dogs. I love to walk, toys, treats and to play ball. I would be a great running partner. If you are looking for an active Colorado pup, I am your girl. Fill out an application to meet me today! Email adopt@souldog.org with any questions!

Meet Montie, a two year old lab mix who is ready to find his forever family! If you’re looking for a hiking partner who also excels at the "Netflix and Chill" lifestyle, look no further. Montie is a social butterfly who loves every dog he meets and thinks every trail was built just for him.The Ball Situation: He has a 10/10 rating for "The Chase" and a 2/10 for "The Return." He’ll get to the ball in record time, but bringing it back? That’s what humans are for, right? The Great Outdoors: When he’s not on the trail, you can find him in the backyard holding down his post as the neighborhood Squirrel Monitor. The Best Part: He is a affectionate snuggler and a total pro in his crate. He’s ready to bring a whole lot of love (and a little bit of chaos) to your home!Montie is currently living in a foster home. Apply to meet him today!

Story
Mooshu is an incredibly sweet, shy girl. She is great with other dogs and continues to grow every day in her willingness to trust humans. She’s not yet a cuddler but she loves to have under her chin scratched. She can be a bit skittish but she doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body, including over food. Mooshu would do best in a home with another dog that she can befriend and learn from. Her favorite thing to do is find a sunny spot to lay in the backyard or to people/animal watch. She is crate trained, almost totally potty trained, can use a doggy door, and does not appear to have a strong prey drive as she loves hanging out with her foster mom’s chickens. In foster, apply on our website if you’re interested in meeting me and someone will be in touch to work on your application!
