Story
Hi, I’m Jack Daniels, a friendly black lab who loves belly rubs and playing with my dog friends. I’m all about cuddles and spreading joy wherever I go. I was lucky enough to be saved from a tough spot, and now I’m looking for a forever home where I can share all the love I have. I promise to be your loyal companion, always ready for a belly rub or a cozy cuddle session. I'm also great in a vehicle! I do get excited and like to jump on people, so older kids are probably best. If you’re looking for a sweet, friendly buddy to add to your family, I’m your guy! Come see me in Wellington!

Story
Hi my name is Aidan! I am a 1 yr old Yellow Labrador mix. I am back at Big Bones through no fault of my own, staying with my foster family. Like most Labs, I have a lot of energy, which I like to burn on walks. Chewing on my toys, and chasing balls is fun too, (although I’m not sure how to bring it back quite yet), and I like following my foster mom around. When I want to relax, I love to be next to people, I am a cuddler with other dogs, if they like to cuddle, too! I love car rides, although I may need help jumping into the car. I get along great with other dogs, and kids… I am house trained. I am also a total goofball (who does not know how big he is), so I bump and run into everything. Please put in an application for me, if you would like to know anything more, I would love to find my furever home!

Buddy is a friendly guy who’s likely a Shepherd or Heeler mix, around 2 years old! He’s happy, friendly, and sweet and could really use a home with a family that likes to play and do things. He is younger and has a zest for life and fun and is good with dogs! If you’re interested in meeting Buddy, apply today!

Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/G5d1Z7b-ae0 Jabarkus is an 11 month old sweetheart who almost died in a high kill shelter just because they had too many dogs and black dogs often get overlooked. He weighs about 45 lbs and is an absolute angel. Great with people, dogs of all sizes, and with cats. He walks well on the leash and does well in the crate. He is the perfect dog. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Hello everyone!! My name is Franky!! I am so lucky to have gotten my freedom ride to Colorado!! Now I am living the best Colorado pup life! The only thing that would make it better, a furever family to call my own! When people meet me, they say what an old soul I am, so calm and sweet! They got that right!! I am such a calm sweet boy and would do great at a brewery and other social environments. But do not let that fool you, I am a puppy and do have a playful side! I love playing and wrestling with my foster pup siblings young and old alike and they like me too! I am a pretty likable fella! I like to play with toys, chew on my chewies, play with my pup resident and foster siblings, get in the kiddie pool and I am a pretty great napper! While my foster parents are at work, I hang out, sleep, graze on food, chew on my chews and wrestle with my older pup foster sister! When they are home, I am ready to say hi! I get all the loves and play outside. I like to go on walks. I am great in the car. I love to snuggle up on the couch and love my people too. I am a confident friendly fellow but it would be easier for me to acclimate in my new home if I have a new dog friend. I do have herding tendencies and although I have fine around kids I do like to chase them if they are being rambunctious and running around so it would be best not to have younger children living in my forever home. If you would like to meet me, please apply.
