Story
Hi, my name was Aidan when I came to Big Bones the first time, but my first family had a lot of nicknames for me so I wasn’t sure what to come to. My foster Dad called me Gizmo because of my ears (or so he tells me) and I came running to him! Ok, so…Hi my name is Aiden aka Gizmo! I am an 11 month old Labrador Mix, but I am turning 1 years old next month (11/22) and cannot wait! I am back at Big Bones through no fault of my own staying with my foster family in Green Valley Ranch by the airport. I do have a lot of energy which I like to spend on walks (if your a runner I am sure I could learn quickly how to run with you), chewing on my toys, chasing balls is fun although I’m not sure how to bring it back quite yet, and following my foster mom around. When I want to relax I love to be next to people, I tried to lay next to my foster mom’s dog but I guess she’s not a cuddler. . I love car ride’s although I’m not the best at jumping into the car and sometimes need help. I get along great with other dogs and my foster sister has a cat which I have never seen before, that thing is weird and just hisses at me but maybe if I just keep my distance…I am house broken but will have accidents in the morning if I have to wait to long. I am also a total goofball who does not know how big he is so i bump and run into everything (I have my very own large crate too!). Please put in an application for me if you would like to know anything more, I would love to find my furever home by my birthday!

Buddy is a friendly guy who’s likely a Shepherd or Heeler mix, around 2 years old! He’s happy, friendly, and sweet and could really use a home with a family that likes to play and do things. He is younger and has a zest for life and fun and is good with dogs! If you’re interested in meeting Buddy, apply today!

Story
Berkeley is a 3 year old lab mix! She is super sweet and absolutely LOVES cuddling with her person. She gets along great with cats, but dogs and small kids are iffy. She really is the sweetest dog! She deserves to get more time and attention than I am able to give her at this time!

Story
Quill is a a great dog that has been loved and spoiled by our family for the last 5-6 years. He is a very protective of his family and home and that has become part of our concern. Over the years Quill has gotten more and more protective of his family and home and has developed a protective nip when others come into his space. As a family with two teens, we have a lot of guests that come and go creating a challenge for Quill to be nice while still protecting his space. We have worked hard to correct the nip but with two teens in the training mix we don’t have the consistency to appropriately correct the behavior. Quill is a great active dog that enjoys the outdoors other than water. He has not had great interactions with the other dogs as he has had several off leash incidents on hikes/walks when other dogs approach aggressively and he goes into protective mode. He has had some good dog friends and no other animal interactions other than chasing rabbits, cats and squirrels.

Story
Gerald is a yellow lab from New Mexico, who came to us as a stray with a broken hind leg. Unfortunately we expect he had had this injury for some time, and it was severe enough and old enough that doctors recommended we amputate his hind leg. Gerald has been doing great on three legs, and he hasn't let it slow him down much. He does zoomies in the yard and sometimes stands on just his two front legs! He is learning to love toys, especially stuffed animals, and loves the couch and playing with his humans. He is good with other dogs but more as a side by side companion than a constant playmate. Gerald has a hard time on hard wood or slippery floors and would appreciate a home with lots of rugs or carpeting. Gerald is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $500.
