Story
Charlie is a pure breed golden lab. He was born in March of 2025 so is just coming up on a year! Charlie is a really good boy, very well trained and loves to play, cuddle and go on walks. He has a lot of energy and is extremely friendly. He needs a family who wants the puppy energy, but doesn’t want to deal with training, because he is already trained! He is house trained and listens very well to commands. He just wants to cuddle and play and meet new people and dogs. We are looking for someone who has the time to take care of him and give him the attention he wants and deserves. He has a kennel that he loves to sleep in at night which will come with him to his new home. We have never had a problem with Charlie with people, other dogs, or our toddlers, the only reason we are looking for a new home for him is because me and my wife are expecting our third baby in June and we are running out of space for him and are worried we will no longer be able to give him the attention he deserves.

Story
Luna, Lab/Heeler, 10 yrs. 85 lbs. (she is on a diet as she is entirely too heavy) Luna’s owners are moving into an independent living facility and cannot take her with them. She’s friendly with everyone including other dogs. She’s bored and sleeps a lot during the day so she isn’t getting the exercise that she needs. Overall, she is in good health. Recently in the last month we’ve had to put her on incontinent medicine, and she seems to be doing well with that. She has also been on the Farmers Dog food for the past three months, in order for her to lose weight, and is doing well with that. She has a lot of life to give yet. We are looking for a home with someone home most of the time and another older dog to hang out with. Courtesy listing. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

Story
Millie is a year old girl with all the house manners and plenty of zest for the active Colorado outdoorsman! She’s house trained, rides well in the car, is dog friendly, greets strangers with a smile, and has an independent streak. She likes to explore, take scent walks, and enjoys a good game of fetch — she casually drops the ball back near you while jogging past. Millie is around 55 lbs. She joined MHCR from a high intake shelter in Texas where she found herself on the euthanasia list due to lack of space. Millie left Texas with a few heartworms in tow, as lots of Texas dogs do, but not to worry, she’s being treated and these will soon be a thing of the past. Feline and poultry free home for her, please! Millie is being fostered in Longmont, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/millie/. Story
If you’re looking for a dog who views life as one giant party, meet Doc Holliday. He is a 16-month old Lab/Border Collie mix who wants to love you at 100 miles per hour. He is 100% good boy and 110% energy. Doc can be a little timid at first, but once he trusts you, he is sweet, wiggly, and perpetually happy. His skills include professional-grade zoomies, expert snuggling, sliding through the grass like a seal, and being a competitive Nylabone chewer. As a youngster, he is working hard on learning house training and leash manners. He is calm in his crate and sleeps in it through the night. Doc gets along well with his three foster siblings, but could also do really well as the only dog in the house, too. Regardless, he needs a family who will be patient with him and keep him mentally stimulated through consistent training so he can develop into a confident and trusting adult dog. He is smart, deeply devoted to his people, and wants to please. Doc will thrive in an active home where he gets positive reinforcement and “jitterbug” is a term of endearment. He’s ready to find a family that can keep up with his rhythm! Doc Holliday is being fostered in Aurora, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/doc-holliday/. Story
"Cooper is a happy, social young lab mix who absolutely loves people and greets everyone like a friend — strangers included. He’s confident, friendly, and always ready to make a new buddy. Cooper is dog-friendly and enjoys playing with other dogs. He’s crate trained, sleeps soundly through the night (you may have to wake him up in the morning!), and is not a barker. He rides great in the car and walks nicely on leash without pulling, though he’s still polishing up his leash manners and learning not to wander. This smart boy is eager to learn and already working on basic commands, “off,” and general good manners. With a little continued training, Cooper is going to be an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing young dog who’s equal parts playful and chill, Cooper could be your guy. He’s approx 1 year old and weighs 62 lbs." Cooper is being fostered in Centennial, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/cooper/.
