Story
If you're a labrador enthusiast who has cherished black, yellow, chocolate, or silver labs, then you're in for a treat with our "Limited-Edition" lab, Blue!! This unique 3-year-old, 63-pound Labrador Retriever and Blue Heeler mix possess a distinct charm that sets him apart from the traditional single-color labs. Despite being a bit overweight, Blue's ideal weight of 55lbs aligns with the typical medium-size lab standard. Blue found himself in shelter after his owner was hospitalized, this sweet boy waited patiently in shelter for his owners return, but his owner couldnt take care of him anymore. Rogers Rescues saw this beautiful soul and we're determined to help this sweet soul find a new loving home. Blue embodies all the classic traits of a lab, from his head to his body build and personality, yet he boasts a unique appearance with his striking Blue Heeler fur, Bentley mark, and Honeybee tail. He barely shows any herding traits, so if you are looking for a high-drive herder, he is not your pup. He has typical labs personality, super easy-going, chill, happy-go-lucky, theres no stranger in his world and his tail never stops wiggling. He is fully house-broken, crate-trained, loves car rides and doing well with other dogs! He is a perfect combination of playfulness and chillness, he is super good at entertaining himself with toys, and then he is happy to spend the rest of the day sleeping soundly by your side (be prepared for some loud snoring!). We think he might not have many chances to go for walks in his previous home, he may need some leash training due to his excitement during walks. Blue is a low-maintenance dog who thrives on simple pleasures: sunbathing, toys to play with, humans to hang out with, and a comfy bed to snooze in. Whether you're a family looking for a friendly companion or a household seeking a laid-back addition, Blue fits the bill perfectly. Blue awaits a second chance at happiness with open paws. Consider opening your heart and home to this lovable pup today! Blue is currently fostered in Plainsboro, NJ. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our application. Meetings will not be scheduled without an application. Please visit our website www.rogersrescues.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. JOHN and his siblings were saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023. JOHN is neutered, core vaccines, monthly preventatives and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of August 2023 and at the time of transport weighed around 8 pounds. He will need his rabies vaccine when he reaches the appropriate age.  We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind. John came with his 3 siblings and another litter or 8 pups - all of which were adopted whilst still young, but there has not been anyone interested in this handsome boy who is now coming up to 7 months old :( JOHN is a big, affectionate love bug who cannot look at anyone without waggling his bum which wags his body. He has always been around a lot of dogs and so is very well dog socialized. He has also been around cats since growing up and although will chase if they run, has no aggression towards them. He loves to play and charge around with his other dogs friends, but can be very calm and gentle with people.  He is extremely affectionate and will come and nudge you with his paw when he wants a bit of extra love and attention. He has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving.  He is responsive and can be a little shy with new things and when he was 4 months old he went (with his siblings) to enjoy the trivia night at Bissell Brothers Brewery where he was a big hit meeting lots of people. He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life.  We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue     YouTube channel     and     photo albums on our Facebook page     to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. JOHN is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $3 50. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Hi there! Ready to meet the sweetest pup on the planet? It's me, Aero!💙🐾 Let me tell you a little bit about myself! Well as you can see I’m quite adorable. I’m a 8-month-old Labrador Retriever mix currently weighing around 25 pounds. My foster mom says I’ll be a medium-sized dog when I’m fully grown! I have the cutest ears and a soft and shiny coat that I love to have pet. My handsome features aren’t the only cool thing about me, just wait until you see how sweet and playful I am. I am a total cuddler and absolutely adore cuddling in my foster mom's lap while getting belly rubs. I give her so many kisses in return to show how much I love it! She tells me I am very gentle and super sweet. When it’s playtime, I love squeaking my toys, rolling around in the grass, and showing off my zoomies in fenced-in areas! Playtime is so fun, especially with my canine or feline friends! I can be shy at first, but I'm most comfortable when I have another canine pal around. Therefore, I dream of a forever home with a canine sibling. Once I get to know new people, I absolutely adore them, and would also do amazing with children! I am a smart cookie and am already leash-trained and working diligently on my crate and house training! I can’t wait to meet my forever family! Could it be with you? Here's a note from Areo's foster: "Aero is sooo sweet and cuddly. He loves to play with toys and his furry friends, but also loves a good nap! He is much more confident with another dog around. He sleeps through the night in his crate without a peep. He also is doing AMAZING with potty training. He loves food time and loves frozen kongs." Apply on our site today to adopt Aero: www.homeforgooddogs.org💙🐾 Aero is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org** HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life! In order to apply for adoption and set up an individual meet and greet with one of our dogs, please visit us at www.hfgdr.org. Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HomeForGoodDogRescue.
