Story
Moose is a 3 year old chocolate lab. He’s extremely food motivated, loves to play in water, and is good with kids for the most part. The only issue we are having is when it comes to food he gets very frantic, semi aggressive. So if you have young children beware. He’s never had an accident in the house, is crate trained, and listens very well.

Story
Bailey is an absolute sweetheart! She was found as a stray out in the country which means somebody probably left her on the side of the road. She was positive for heartworm but has finished her treatment!! She loves being around people and she loves to play especially tug of rope. She is a talker and very treat motivated. She knows sit and working with her on paw and lay down. Now because of her age she still has the puppy tendencies but she loves going on walks but someone who is patient with her will be able to teach her that chasing cars is not okay. She follows my kids around the yard and plays with them and she loves the snuggles. She is incredibly smart and would make a great family dog. She is an all-around good girl who is just looking for a family to love me. If you think you could be that family, Located in North Texas, Transport fee included

Story
HeroMaleAge: 3 yearsWeight: 65 lbsBreed: Bulldog/Lab MixTrial Adoption Eligible Hey, I’m Hero — though around my foster home I also answer to Sweet Boy, Short King, Hot Dog, and Piggie. I wear them all with pride. I’m about three years old and finally learning how to just be a dog. It’s been a journey, but I’m figuring it out — learning to trust my humans, enjoy structure, and feel safe in my space. I’m fully house trained and crate trained, walk nicely on leash, and honestly? I’m a pretty chill dude. Like, surprisingly chill. I don’t get into things I shouldn’t, I enjoy routines, and I really just want to be part of your world — preferably while holding your hand, licking peanut butter off a spoon, or soaking up morning snuggles. I’ve got a solid list of commands under my belt: sit, come, down, leave it, let’s go, place, and now shake. I thrive with positive reinforcement (and maybe a blueberry or two). I feel safest with gentle structure, clear boundaries, and humans who recognize how smart I am and keep my brain engaged with walks, training, puzzles, and games. Some of my favorite things include watching baseball (from the couch), yoga (yes, really), fenced-in backyards, long walks in any weather, and being near my people. I’m deeply loyal, affectionate, and incredibly bonded to my humans once I trust them. That said, it’s important to be honest about what I need to succeed. Over time, it’s become clear that I do best as the only animal in the home. I have shown resource guarding and reactive behaviors when other animals are present, and for everyone’s safety, I need a calm, predictable environment without other pets. Because of this, I’m also not a good fit for homes with children under 15. I’m not a “take me everywhere” kind of dog — I’m a ride-or-die companion for the right person. The kind who will quietly love you with his whole heart, make you laugh daily with his goofy underbite, and show you what it means to be truly grateful to be safe, understood, and chosen. If you’re an experienced, patient adopter looking for a deeply devoted companion and are willing to honor my boundaries, I promise I’ll give you everything I’ve got. To help me find the perfect match, I’m eligible for Cause for Canines’ Trial Adoption Program! This gives approved adopters a chance to get to know me in their home before making things official. You must be an approved adopter to participate. Apply to adopt Hero at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $350. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 15+ ##2188352##

Story
Name: Midnight  Age: 8 years Breed: Labrador Retriever  Male or female: Male  Size: 118 pounds (overweight)  Any impairments: No  Good with dogs: Yes  Good with cats: Yes  Good with children: Yes (older children) Crate trained: Yes  Potty trained: Yes  Needs fenced in yard: Preferred  Needs another dog in the home: No  Location: Battle Creek, MI  Midnight is an 8 year old male Black Labrador Retriever. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and ready to start his search for his forever home! He is being fostered in Battle Creek, MI. Looking for the perfect companion? Look no further! Midnight found himself at the local animal control after his owner sadly passed away. You can tell that he was a very loved member of the family as he is just the perfect boy.  Midnight is great with other dogs, cats, and would do just fine with children. He is an older boy and is very overweight so his joints are a little sore, therefore, we recommend children that are old enough to know better than to climb on or pull on their doggy friends. Midnight will be started on some anti-inflammatory medication prior to adoption (a cheap veterinary prescribed medication just to help with his aging joints). He is quite overweight at 118 pounds and as he loses weight, this will help his joints a lot. He is just a bit stiff getting up at this time but he has a lot of extra weight to move!  Don't let his age fool you. He is all Labrador. He loves to chase balls and will keep himself entertained with toys that he throws around to himself outside. He very much enjoys burying his head in the snow to sniff the ground. He loves to play with other dogs and he is not interested in cats at all. He can do stairs just fine as well! He is house trained and goes in his crate without any issues, though he is a great house guest and would be unlikely to bother anything if left out of his crate as well.  Midnight would love to find an owner committed to his weight loss journey and that promises to love him for the rest of his years! He promises to love you just as much in return! ##2642802##

Story
We adopted Boba when she was six months old from a shelter. She is sweet, smart, and playful. We plan on relocating so we need to rehome her. She can shake, push her nose through steepled hands, sit, lay down, and wait ( we used wait instead of stay). She can get anxious if there are loud noises (especially if the battery on the smoke detector needs replaced). She needs to keep her weight under control or she starts limping because she has hip dysplasia.
