Friendly, Independent, House-trained, Vaccinations up to date, neutered. Prefers a home without other dogs, cats, other animals. Meet Diesel and Junior -- Junior is a 9 yr lab mix 65lbs and Diesel is a 10 yr pom mix 20 lbs. Junior is very protective of Diesel and does not like other dogs to be around them. They were left in a house by themselves for a year with former elderly owner feeding and watering once a day. She could no longer live in the house and was unable to take the dogs with her. Junior loves, shedding his toys and getting the squeaker out, he loves the outside and going for walks. The rain and snow do not bother him at all. When the boys are walking together if Junior gets ahead of Diesel he will keep looking back at him to make sure he is okay and if the distance is more than he thinks it should be he will go back to his chum. Diesel likes to sit on your lap or lay in his bed and watch his silly friend go in and out playing with his toys. The boys rode well in the car going to the vet and were quite good in vet office. They are also comfortable without a lot of fuss. They are good at amusing themselves. Their house training is good as they go out doggie door and they have never made a mess inside. They are very nice boys and deserve a loving home for the last years of their lives. She and her siblings spent most of their young lives waiting in a West Virginia shelter, and now that all her siblings have found homes, it’s finally her turn! Since arriving in her foster home, Tallulah has been thriving—soaking up all the love and new experiences. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but warms up really quickly and absolutely loves attention. Once you start petting her, she’ll happily melt into you for more! Tallulah gets along great with other dogs and enjoys playing with her foster sister. She also shares her foster home with cats and does well with them. Besides mealtime, her favorite thing is being outside, basking in the sun with her favorite toy. She also loves car rides and walks, and she walks nicely on a leash! Tallulah has been working hard on crate and house training and is doing great when kept on a schedule. Like any young pup, she’s still working on her manners, including keeping all four paws on the ground when excited, but with a little guidance, she’ll be a pro in no time. Tooty is a super friendly and affectionate dog to adults and kids and other dogs. She is about 2 1/2 years old and 60 pounds. She is energetic, excitable, and runs a lot! She still jumps a lot and, because she is 60 pounds, may not be suitable for households with children. From my experience, Tooty gets along with all dogs. However, she cannot cohabitate with cats. I have a large fenced in backyard and she loves to run and 'hunt' for small animals like shrews, moles, and chipmunks. She has a strong prey drive. She loves to chew on strong, hard Benebones. She likes to chew on small items around the house but doesn't chew on furniture. She is fully house-trained. There have been no incidents of peeing or pooping in the house.

Rex is a loyal dog to his owner. He has been largely friendly to my fiancee and our four children. He did bite one of the kids on the arm, it was a surface wound and didn't penetrate the skin. He gets jealous and can 'snap at' others and other dogs. Rex is affectionate and loves to run. He needs a lot of time outside but he would be most happy snuggled up with his owner. As a rescue dog, it's apparent that he has had prior issues with either people and/or other dogs. He would need to go through more training to be better around other dogs. He should not cohabitate with cats. Because of his size and apprehensive temperament, he would be better in a home without small children. He loves to bark at deer and howl along with ambulance sirens! He will make someone very happy... I know it!
