Life circumstances have changed and I have to rehome my best friend, a 4 yr old lab mix/mutt. He is extremely sweet and affectionate; he loves tug-of-war, tacos, and playing outside. He is house trained, crate trained, up to date on vaccines and very healthy. I adopted him from APA in 2022.I have found he is very responsive to training, but with my work schedule I don’t have the proper time or resources to properly train him. He is somewhat reactive to strangers but warms up very quickly, often after playing with someone just once. He had an incident in 2023 where he did bite someone handling him as a redirect to another dog acting aggressively toward him. I have successfully introduced him to several new people since then and he is quick to affection. I have never introduced him to children but he passes them on walks and does not react. He previously lived in a house with multiple cats for several years without issue and he plays well with other dogs at weekly playcare.

My name is Danielle and I am currently fostering Daisy and I need urgent help with her. I'm looking for an experienced foster for sweet Daisy girl who has been through an incredibly heartbreaking situation. She was found living on the streets with a Husky who was her companion. Never leaving each others side. They were hard to capture but going through busy streets so we knew we needed to help. Eventually we caught both, but they noticed her Husky companion wasn't eating, turned out someone fed this poor angel anti freeze in hopes to kill her. Devastatingly, the vets couldn't save her friend when we rushed her to the vet. Months ago Daisy also had a gash on her head from someone hitting her with either a brick or a pole. Daisy is now just looking for a safe place to land after an unimaginably hard life. Despite what she has been through, she had never growled or bitten once at me. She loves pets, and just wants a loving home. She is still very nervous and needs someone patient.
