Story
We are all very fond of this little odd ball. It took us several days to earn his trust whilst he was coming to terms with his new situation, but once he had decided we were okay, he began to revel his sunny personality. To see Zion prance around the yard like a show pony is a sure-fire way to brighten the mood. He loves to run after a tennis ball and will bring it back a few times before moving on to the next activity. He is easy to pair with new friends, male and female, though seems to do better with dogs of his own size or smaller. Zion will do best in a low traffic home without children since he is still fearful of new people, and any adults who meet him will need to be reminded to let him initiate any physical contact, but once he is ready to be pet, he will sure let you know! He will most likely need a couple of visits from a potential adopter before he's ready to move in. Zion absolutely loves his walks and has done very well with other dogs. He had a sleepover with a member of staff and enjoyed the car ride, stretching out on the couch, and when it was time to go to bed he went into his crate and didn't make a sound all night.

Story
Chula is a pretty little lab mix who loves eating and swimming, as all self-respecting labs do. She will need an active lifestyle and a good sized yard to use up that energy. Chula tested positive for heartworms and is eligible for the "slow kill method", meaning she won't have to endure months of confinement and painful injections. Chula has had many great interactions with other dogs here, and has a friend to wrestle with, but due to an altercation with a dog in her previous home we think it best that she be the only dog in the family. Chula gets to spend time in the office and loves to be the center of attention.

Story
"He had one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it. It understood you just as far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself." - The Great Gatsby Gatsby has soulful eyes and a loving smile. He is an active boy that knows how to chill when it's time to nap. He loves all toys, especially rope toys and is a self-proclaimed fetch champion. He's also incredibly smart and knows sit and shake. He was staying in a home for the past two years, but had to come back to us due to no fault of his own. In his home they stated that he was house trained and crate trained. He prefers his time with adults or older children, but can be a bit too rambunctious around young kids. He enjoys the company of dogs that are smaller than him, but can get overwhelmed with larger dogs. He has a couple of dog friends in shelter and could go home to a well matched dog buddy.

Story
Frankie is a handsome young man with the energy and enthusiasm to be man's best friend. We pulled him from a municipal shelter when he was just ten or so months old, and he has been in several homes since that time, both as a foster dog and an adopted dog. Frankie has so much going for him. He's wicked smart and loves to learn tricks and show them off, and he already knows "sit, "down, "spin, "wait and "shake. He is extraordinarily food/treat motivated, and this can be used to the human's advantage and to keep Frankie's excitement in check. In his most recent foster home Frankie has shown himself to be house trained and well mannered, and had a blast socializing with the resident dogs and doing doughnuts in the kiddie pool. Frankie has had dozens of dog friends at the shelter, from 10lbs Chihuahua mixes to 90lbs Boxers. He is a sensitive and respectful play partner, and one we often pick for our shyer dogs as he will very gently coax them out of their shells until they enjoy their yard time as much as he does. Whilst he's an active boy and loves his play time, he has done well with dogs, livestock, he's also a terrific cuddler, chin-kisser and nap-taker. He needs an adopter who can enforce strong boundaries since Frankie is sure to push them, just like the kid in class who misbehaves because the work isn't challenging enough. Making him work for his food is the key to success with Frankie- puzzle feeders, stuffed kongs and the like, will keep his brain busy and set him up for success. A perfect home for this beautiful boy will be active, dog savvy, ideally with a large kiddie pool and another dog to play with. Resource guarding of food has been an issue in the past, and something potential families will need to consider and be prepared to work on. In his most recent week-long shelter break the foster didn't see any evidence of resource guarding, and in fact, he would only eat his food when she was close to him. Frankie is full of surprises.

Story
Smooch is a professional cuddle bug, accomplished dimple model, and a licensed sweetheart. Smooch was surrendered to the shelter when her human had to go to a retirement home. She has been waiting patiently for many months for a new family to come bring her to her forever home. Smooch is famous at the shelter for being easy to walk, potty trained, quiet, and a good hugger. Smooch sometimes gets scared and barks when someone stands too close to her kennel door, and she keeps getting overlooked because of it. If you come to meet her, please be patient because this pretty girl is a once-in-a-lifetime dog that anyone would be lucky to adopt!

Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This is Riley, she is 2 years old and a very loving dog with tons of energy. She wants to play fetch all day every day, balls are her favorite thing. She needs a family that has a huge yard and is able to be with her most of the time. She needs a home with just people no other animals even though she does get along with other dogs. She is currently living with another dog but does get possessive over attention. The reason we are rehoming her is that we are having a baby in a month and can’t give her the attention that she needs.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Winifred (Winnie) is a sweet 2 year old terrier mix. I had adopted her from Austin Pet's Alive when she was approx. 2 months old. Unfortunately, my budget has become increasingly tighter, and being a single family home, I believe she needs more care and attention than I can give to her. She is incredibly sweet, loving, playful, and loves laying next to me while I work or cuddle while I watch TV. She is approx 30-50 lbs, She is potty and crate trained, and does well learning new things. She is great around other dogs/cats - I take her to daycare and dog parks regularly. No signs of aggression. My wish is to find her the most caring forever home, with a family/person who can devote the time to her that she needs. Please feel free to reach out with any questions. Also - it says lab on her profile as her breed, but she is a mix terrier.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Peat is a sweetheart - he is very gentle and loves to cuddle. He is about 75lbs and looks like a lab mix. His fur is a beautiful and unique dark blue/silver. His favorite thing to do is play fetch with a ball. We adopted him about a year ago, but unfortunately will be traveling to Sweden this summer so we need to find a new home for him. Peat has some anxiety and vocalization around other large dogs and we've learned to keep him close on walks when approaching other dogs, other than that he is a wonderful and easy dog that energizes immediately and also loves to cuddle all day.

Story
Baloo is the most perfect and loving puppy you could ever imagine. He is a pure bred Golden Retriever and was bred from my own Golden. He currently resides in Kyle, Texas with the most loving Mom that has two wonderful children and a little kitty. So from that he's great as a family dog! He is currently 1 years old and was born on St. Patricks Day! March 17th, 2022. We are currently looking to rehome Baloo purely for not being able to give him the time he deserves and being gone for extended periods from our work life. He is an amazing puppy and it breaks our heart to let him go. We just want to find him the perfect home where he'll continue to be his perfect loving self and have a family that'll fill his life with all the love and happiness a puppy could ever have. He does have seasonal allergies and will require monthly shots during the summer months, but other than that you have nothing to worry about! Please contact me if you have any further questions!
