Story
Meet Hunky Chocolate Boy, a biggol` teddy bear with a heart (and belly) just as full as his name suggests! At 8 years old, this mellow chocolate Lab mix is trying to live his best laid back life, but shelter life isn`t quite the right mix, as a home environment is much more his style. Yes, he`s a bit on the husky side, and we don`t mean the breed, but he`s taking gentle steps towards a healthier lifestyle, one leisurely walk and low-cal treat at a time. Whether you are looking for a snuggle buddy, slow moving shadow, or someone to join you in your mutual fitness goals, Hunky Chocolate Boy is your guy. Come meet him today, and help him spend his golden years soaking up all the love he`s missed out on!

Story
Meet Sadie! At 13 years old, this golden-hearted Labrador is ready for her next chapter — one filled with comfort, love, and maybe a few leisurely strolls to help her get back into shape for her “senior summer body.”Sadie was surrendered with her friend Kona and is taking shelter life in stride, though she’d much rather be lounging on a soft bed than resting on the hard concrete. She’s calm, gentle, and has all the sweet wisdom you’d expect from a senior gal.All Sadie needs is a cozy home and a kind human to help her enjoy her golden years in style. Could that be you?

Story
Meet Norm, a goofy and lovable black Lab mix with big floppy ears and white sugar toes that make him stand out from the crowd. He’s full of life, always ready to play, and especially loves his ball—he could chase it all day long. Norm is crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, sits for treats, and has great recall when you call his name. He’s good with other dogs and currently lives with two 50-pound foster buddies, as well as a gentle 4-year-old child. Norm is affectionate, playful, and eager to please, but like many young dogs, he has a little resource guarding around his favorite toys or treats. With patient guidance and consistency, that’s easily managed. After a day of playing and running, Norm is content to relax by your side and soak up attention. Norm is a wonderful mix of silly energy and sweet companionship. He’s ready to bring joy, loyalty, and laughter to his forever home. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Norm click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-748 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
Meet Mary Ann and Ginger, an adorable bonded pair of medium-sized rescue dogs who are searching for their forever home. These super cute girls have spent their entire lives on their own until they were recently rescued. Despite their rough beginnings, Mary Ann and Ginger are incredibly sweet and are now learning to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. Both Mary Ann and Ginger get along wonderfully with other dogs, though they haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. They need a patient adopter who will give them the time and space they need to adjust to their new surroundings and discover the joys of being cherished pets. Ginger, who bravely underwent heartworm treatment, is now healthy and heartworm negative. Both dogs are fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and on preventatives. They even tolerate baths and absolutely love being petted. Currently, Mary Ann and Ginger are being fostered in Seguin, TX, where they are receiving the care and love they deserve. If you have a kind heart and a gentle hand, these two sweethearts will surely reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Adopt Mary Ann and Ginger and give them the loving home they've always dreamed of.

Story
Rufus (formerly Jaelen) is back and ready to find his forever adventure buddy! This 6-year-old Retriever mix spent a year and a half in a loving home, where he proved himself to be a smart, fun, and loyal companion. What Rufus loves:• Car rides with the windows down• Long walks, hikes, and even runs• Chew toys galore• Showing off his tricks — sit, down, come, and paw! He’s house-trained, independent, and always up for an outdoor adventure. He’s got a little mischievous streak (trash can raider alert), but that’s part of his charm.Rufus did well with the family dog in his previous home, though he can be selective with unfamiliar dogs. A meet-and-greet is recommended for any future dog siblings. He will chase outdoor cats, birds, and wildlife — so a secure backyard and attentive handler are a plus. He can get vocal when he’s excited or wants attention, especially in the kennel, but he settles well in a home environment.Rufus is the perfect match for an active adopter who wants a loyal sidekick to explore the world with. Come meet Rufus and see if he’s the companion you’ve been searching for!
