A walk with some doggy friends or a little play time is fun but really, he just wants to hang out as close his person as possible. He`s happy to go on car rides but not a fan of a crate.When kept on a schedule, Barnaby is doing well with making it outdoors to do his business.If his person gets too far away, he will `talk` to let you know he is unhappy, so Barnaby is really hoping for a family home more often than not. Spike is a handsome maltipoo mix. He can be a little shy at first, it takes him a minute to trust someone and warm up. But once he does, you have best friend for life! He is a very happy cuddly dog. Spike has the most fun natural blonde Mohawk that just adds to his charm! DOB 5/8/24 and around 25 lbs. Spike prefers a home without cats and, honestly, would do best as the only furry companion. He can be a bit of an attention hog and doesn’t like to share his favorite human! He would also do best in a home with no kids or kids over 12, who will respect his personal space while he adjusts to a new environment. Ebony and Ivory are a bonded pair looking for a forever home together.Ebony (14 lbs.) and Ivory (8 lbs.) were local strays. They were in terrible shape when found and horribly matted. Now that these sweet girls are safe with AHF, they`re looking and feeling so much better. Ivory loves to cuddle, and Ebony is more playful but loves cuddling too. They`re both very loving. We think Ivory is a maltese mix and Ebony may be a schnauzer/shih tzu mix. Both girls walk on leash. They do not get crated when their foster leaves the house and do fine confined to a large room. They get along with the other dogs in their foster home and have been friendly with kids they`ve met at adoption events. Ebony seems potty trained and Ivory is mostly; she`ll sometimes use potty pads if they`re out for other pups.If you have room in your heart and home for Ebony and Ivory, please fill out an application so you can meet them and learn more. She would do wonderfully in an apartment or a house, thanks to her calm, easygoing personality. While she’s generally relaxed, she absolutely lights up when people come through the door and loves greeting her humans with happy enthusiasm. She’s incredibly affectionate, loving, and people-focused. Peppermint Bark adores her people, appreciates the comfort of her crate, and never misses a meal — food is definitely one of her love languages. Despite being left behind in an apartment when her family moved, she remains trusting, kind, and full of love to give. She gets along well with other dogs and kids. Peppermint Bark does have a few mammary tumors, which are scheduled to be removed in January at the time of her spay. She’ll be well cared for and ready to continue her journey toward a happy, healthy life.
