Coco 26 is a lucky girl who made her way to Mag Mutts after her owner's could no longer care for her.  Foster home update:   Meet Coco!! She is a 1-2  year old Maltese mix that weighs just at 10lbs. She is currently recovering from a foreign body surgery she had on 5/10. Coco is so playful and an absolute lover! She will become your little shadow. She is crate trained!!! Sleeps through the night no problem. Fully house trained as well!    She loves to play and chase after toys, and very into fetch! She’s a snuggle bug. She loves to lay with you and sit in your lap.   She is great with other dogs, and uses her whole voice to say hello!!! I think she’d be great with kids. Cats could go either way! We recommend training for all our dogs!     **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Myles — a happy, lovable Maltipoo who’s ready to find his forever family! Born around March 12, 2025, Myles weighs 17.6 pounds and is full of personality. He came to us as part of a 29-dog seizure where, although the dogs were cared for, they didn’t get the individual attention and socialization they needed. Despite that, Myles has proven to be incredibly friendly and people-loving. He thrives on attention and is always excited to be around his humans. Myles would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly enjoys companionship and being part of daily life. Myles has also been seen by an ophthalmologist and has cataracts in one eye. He is currently on special eye drops, and we are hopeful for improvement with continued treatment. He also has a playful side—he absolutely loves toys and is always up for some fun. Whether it’s a game of toss or just carrying his favorite toy around, he knows how to enjoy life. He’s currently learning how to walk on a leash and will benefit from a patient adopter who can continue helping him build confidence and skills. With his sweet nature and eagerness to connect, Myles is sure to make a wonderful companion. Myles’ adoption fee is $400. Story
This cutie is BONNIE, a very sweet, initially shy,  3-year-old, 17 pound, female, Maltese/Poodle cross. After a couple days of settling in with her foster family which has adults and teens, they found Bonnie to be easy going, a  “go with the flow”  kind of dog in the home. Her foster home has a couple Bully breed mixes and a couple smaller mixed breed dogs; Bonnie gets along easily with all but her best friend is Kimbo (a little Terrier mix) who is also up for adoption.   Bonnie is housebroken. She is trained to use potty pads but is being trained to toilet outside on the grass and is doing well with that, in part because of the other dogs in her foster home showing her. Bonnie really enjoys spending time in the backyard. She is a bit of a barker so she’s not appropriate for apartment or condo living. Bonnie requires a calmer home that has another dog with whom to socialize and a securely fenced yard.    Because her first owners didn’t introduce Bonnie to other people when she was a puppy, it takes her time to get comfortable with new people. Taking things slowly with her is essential - and it works! Once Bonnie is comfortable, she is very sweet and friendly. She enjoys going for walks but she can be reactive, which is her insecurity and fear to unknown people. She would benefit from continued gentle training to help her not find the world such a scary place. Bonnie’s foster family is taking her for short walks to help her have positive experiences.    This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, been tested for diseases, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. Priscilla is currently in a foster home. If you would like to meet her, please start by visiting www.sccrescue.org and completing an application.Priscilla may not live at Graceland, but she absolutely carries herself like royalty. This approx. five-year-old Maltese mix arrived a little unsure of the spotlight, easily startled by new sounds and quick movements, often retreating to her “cubby” crate like a starlet escaping the flashing cameras. But just like her famous namesake, once she realized she was safe and adored, her true personality began to shine. These days, she happily lounges beside her people on the couch, soaking up pets and brushing sessions while keeping a watchful eye on her kingdom. She’s sweet, affectionate, and devoted — the kind of companion who quickly becomes your little shadow — though she still keeps a touch of sass worthy of a Presley.Priscilla has mastered the art of house training and politely lets you know when she needs to go out by pacing or heading for the back door. She enjoys the finer things in life: cozy dog beds, relaxing in her crate, tasty meals with softened kibble and canned food mixed in, and the occasional treat she may attempt to “borrow” from another dog if given the opportunity. While she’s cautious around other pups at first, she’s beginning to discover her playful side, recently initiating games with toys and joining the fun for short bursts before returning to her composed diva demeanor. She knows “sit,” responds to directions to go into her cubby, and only barks when there’s truly something worth announcing.Outdoors is where Priscilla channels her inner rock-and-roll energy. She loves strutting ahead on walks like she’s leading her own tour, though she’s still working on leash manners. She adores running around outside and will happily follow the excitement if another dog spots a squirrel or bird. Though she can occasionally get a little mouthy during play, she’s otherwise respectful in the home and doesn’t chew things she shouldn’t. Beneath her glamorous straight coat hides soft curly fur that requires regular brushing to keep her looking stage-ready and mat-free. Priscilla is searching for a patient, loving home where she can continue building confidence, stealing hearts, and living like the beloved queen she was always meant to be.We love our dogs.
