Elizabeth Taylor is a 6.5 year old Maltese with her whole life ahead of her! She came to us as a breeder release, so everything is new and a little bit scary for her right now. With patience and consistency, she will quickly learn how good life can be! So far, she is doing well with other dogs and is mostly uninterested. She would probably be the same around cats, as she’s only 15 pounds and would be similar to their size. She is shy with new people, but seems to be enjoying spending time outside and decompressing with her foster family! She’s doing well in her crate and working on potty training, and mostly just taking it easy while she acclimates. And we are just fine with that! She hopes her adopter will be just as patient and let her come out of her shell in her own time, so if you are able to provide her that stability and kindness, please let us know! Elizabeth Taylor's adoption fee is $550

Patches is new to ARF. He found himself at a local animal control and is very thankful to have landed in a loving ARF foster home! He seems housetrained and is crate-trained (with some crying). He isn’t too sure of car rides but loves walks. He is good with other dogs and he is ok with children. This little guy is looking for his new forever home! Maybe a Unicorn family so to speak? I’ve been called “A terrible dog”. Unpredictable and just plain crazy. People just haven’t been able to understand my quirks. I’m nothing but misunderstood!! I do need some time to adjust as something in my past has left me very nervous. My human mom passed away and I was put into the system. I’m used to a quiet and peaceful home. My human foster sister is my most favorite person ever and her mom is pretty nice too. If you have patience and lots of love I’m your guy! Am I a bit of a challenge? Maybe!! Am I cute as cute can be? Definitely!!, Am I worth the effort? You bet I am!! I am an adorable and smart little boy. When I like you….I would do anything for you!! If I don’t, then I’m a bit of a tiny Jerk!! Investing your time and love into me will be so worth it!! I promise!! I am good with other animals. I get along with all sizes and ages of dogs. Story
This cutie is BONNIE, a very sweet, initially shy,  3-year-old, 17 pound, female, Maltese/Poodle cross. After a couple days of settling in with her foster family which has adults and teens, they found Bonnie to be easy going, a  “go with the flow”  kind of dog in the home. Her foster home has a couple Bully breed mixes and a couple smaller mixed breed dogs; Bonnie gets along easily with all but her best friend is Kimbo (a little Terrier mix) who is also up for adoption.   Bonnie is housebroken. She is trained to use potty pads but is being trained to toilet outside on the grass and is doing well with that, in part because of the other dogs in her foster home showing her. Bonnie really enjoys spending time in the backyard. She is a bit of a barker so she’s not appropriate for apartment or condo living. Bonnie requires a calmer home that has another dog with whom to socialize and a securely fenced yard.    Because her first owners didn’t introduce Bonnie to other people when she was a puppy, it takes her time to get comfortable with new people. Taking things slowly with her is essential - and it works! Once Bonnie is comfortable, she is very sweet and friendly. She enjoys going for walks but she can be reactive, which is her insecurity and fear to unknown people. She would benefit from continued gentle training to help her not find the world such a scary place. Bonnie’s foster family is taking her for short walks to help her have positive experiences.    This dog has been examined by licensed veterinarians, provided inoculations, been tested for diseases, dewormed, spayed, and microchipped. Gideon is a sweet senior who found himself in need of rescue when his owner had to go to a nursing home. He is young at heart and loves going on walks 3 or more times every day. He adjusts easily to a schedule and is good about doing his business outside. Some of Gideon`s favorite things are playing with his toy rabbit, sitting on his person`s lap, and sitting outside in the evening greeting everyone who walks by. Gideon recently went to a groomer and charmed everyone there! They took turns holding him and had nothing but good things to say about how well he behaved. Gideon gets along with other dogs.
