Story
Baby Girl — 3–4 Years Old | 95 lbs | Big Love, Bigger Personality Baby Girl is exactly what her name suggests—a giant sweetheart who believes the world is full of friends she just hasn’t met yet. Found as a stray alongside a French Bulldog, she’s proven to be resilient, loving, and ready to settle into a home of her own. Weighing in at 95 pounds, Baby Girl brings plenty of presence—and plenty of slobber to match! She’s strong on leash and will need someone ready to work on her manners, but she makes up for it with her affectionate nature and eagerness to connect. She’s a social butterfly with no stranger danger, happily greeting new people like long-lost friends. While she hasn’t been kid-tested yet, she does well with cats and other dogs, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet household. At home, Baby Girl is full of personality: She knows how to sit and politely waits for permission before eating She’ll “tell” you when she needs something—with a whine that could mean potty, hunger, or bedtime She keeps a strict bedtime of 8:30–9:00 PM (and expects you to respect it!) She politely asks before hopping into bed She loves her toys… and will scatter them everywhere like adorable little booby traps Baby Girl has not yet been vetted or spayed, but updates are coming soon. If you’re looking for a big, goofy, loving companion who will keep you on a schedule and fill your home with laughter (and a little drool), Baby Girl might just be your perfect match.

Story
Meet Howie 🐾 Howie is a Cane Corso mix with a gentle soul who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. He came to us at around 8 months old alongside four of his littermates, and it’s clear he didn’t get much early socialization. Because of this, Howie is extremely timid and can be unsure in new situations or around unfamiliar people. Despite his shyness, there’s a sweet, sensitive dog just waiting to blossom. Howie will need a patient and understanding adopter who’s willing to move at his pace and help him build confidence through positive experiences. With time, consistency, and kindness, he has so much potential to grow into a loyal and devoted companion. Howie is currently awaiting his neuter surgery, and our hope is to have a home lined up so he can smoothly transition into his new life once he’s ready. He is located in the Pittsburgh area and is looking for a calm, supportive environment where he can truly come out of his shell. If you have the heart and patience to help a shy dog find his footing, Howie could be the one for you. 💛

Story
Lucy is discovering the world for the very first time—and it’s a beautiful thing to watch. Coming from a home where she didn’t get much socialization, everything is new to her. Like a young child, she approaches life with wide-eyed curiosity, wonder, and a quiet excitement that grows a little more each day. Lucy is dog-friendly and naturally a bit shy, but with the help of her loving foster “momma” and resident dog companion, she’s beginning to understand that she’s safe and that people can be kind. Her confidence is blossoming, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see her learn to trust. She would thrive in a home with another dog—one who can be her playmate, cuddle buddy, and gentle teacher. Having a canine companion helps Lucy feel secure and encourages her to keep coming out of her shell. At her core, Lucy is sweet, affectionate, and full of quiet joy. She absolutely lights up when she gets to play with toys—it’s clear she’s making up for lost time, and her happiness is contagious. Watching her discover simple pleasures is sure to bring a smile to your face every single day. Lucy is ready for a patient, loving home that will continue to show her that the world is a good place. In return, she’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, love, and endless moments of wonder.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bruno is an 80-pound, 2ish-year-old mastiff with the soul of a giant puppy and the enthusiasm of a wrecking ball (but, like, a wildly sweet wrecking ball made of candy). He’s currently in foster care in New England with another dog and attends daycare regularly. He's is social with most dogs and wonderful with people. Bruno is a goofy, active player - wrestling, zooming and sniffing are his love languages - and he’d likely shine in nosework. He enjoys moderate walks and is working on his leash manners - but playing and snuggling are really his things. He’s a full-contact snuggler (read: body pillow who snores). Bruno needs a home that will embrace his joyful 'ready to rumble' energy, play with him often and then happily share the couch (and probably the blankets).   Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. If you would like to find out more please email or call Diane at...diane@ulpr.org or 870-577-3744.   Please email us at  diane@ulpr.org  and request an application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 30, 2026, 9:21 pm

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.Johnny was adopted from us in January and sadly has been returned. It is no fault of Johnny's but we truly believe his adopters wanted a big dog to sit and look cute and to not put any effort into him. Johnny had no issues when he was with us originally. He demonstrated some separation anxiety while with his adopters but we believe it was due to lack of exercise and mental stimulation.  Johnny adores all people. He did great with kids here prior to adoption, but was never around any really small kids. We have no reason to believe he would not do well with them, but he might accidentally knock them down, because he himself is just a giant baby and doesn't know his size. Johnny is just over 100 lbs, is about 2 years old. We aren't certain of his breed but we believe he is some sort of Matsiff, maybe Neo Mastiff (?), with some Dane mixed in? We are not 100% sure, we just have his looks and build to go by. Johnny did great with other non aggressive dogs at doggy daycare prior to his adoption. He is now back in AR and being fostered at a doggy daycare. Johnny adores all people. He did great with kids here, but was never around any really small kids. We have no reason to believe he would not do well with them, but he might accidentally knock them down, because he himself is just a giant baby and doesn't know his size. Johnny is just over 100 lbs, is about 2 years old, and is located in New York. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
