Meet Siggy – Your Loyal, Loving GuardianSiggy is a gorgeous 2-year-old brindle Great Pyrenees mix weighing 82 pounds. She is incredibly sweet, especially with children of all ages (incl. rambunctious toddlers) and gets along well with other dogs in the home. True to her breed mix, Siggy is both intelligent and protective—once you’re part of her pack, she will be fiercely devoted and always have your back.As a Pyrenees, and what we believe to be a Catahoula mix, she has strong guardian instincts. She is deeply bonded to her family “pack”, and is naturally protective. She isn’t aggressive but is true to her instincts as a protector. She’s also very submissive/eager to please—she learns quickly and never needs harsh discipline to understand what’s expected of her.Siggy does have some separation anxiety, but she does fine when she has another dog around for company while her humans are away. While Siggy is incredibly affectionate with her family, she isn’t a fan of crowded public places or strangers approaching her and her “pack”. However, if given the chance to approach others on her own terms, she is gentle and sweet. She would do best in a home that understands and respects her protective nature- one that provides the proper introduction to guests, and provides enough yard space to be a mostly stay-at-home dog, where she can love on, sunbathe, and protect, her family.Commands she knows:-sit-shake-leave it-drop itIf you’re looking for a fiercely loyal, intelligent, and loving companion who will always be by your side, Siggy is the perfect match.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Finley is a two year spayed female Mastiff mix/American Bully. We have had her since she was 10 weeks old. We adopted her from a friend who had an “accidental” litter. She has been raised with a 5 year old Cane Corso/American Bulldog and a 10 year old Shih Tzu. When we got Finley, we had a 5 year old cat. When Finley was about 1 year old she was startled by the cat and responded by grabbing her around the neck, which ultimately killed our cat. We thought (hoped) this would be a one time occurrence because she was so young. Finley has now started becoming very jealous of our Shih Tzu and has started bullying him. She has snapped at him and made attempts to bite him. We feel we need to rehome Finley to a home where she can be the only pet and be the center of attention. She is a very loving, snuggly, and affectionate. It is breaking our hearts to do this.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Say hello to Tiger! He is a loving and sweet ~3yo, ~90lb Mastiff/Shepherd mix who is ready to find his forever home. He came to us as a stray from a high kill shelter in CA. Tiger is a wonderful boy and has a great demeanor. He is super loving with everyone he meets and very gentle. He walks wonderful on leash and will make a great dog for his forever family! He has been good with other dogs in our care. We think he would do just fine with kids, but he is not tested with cats. Tiger is neutered, UTD on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing this humongous boy, Fasa! Fasa (short for Mufasa) is a 3.5-year-old, 170 LB Boerboel who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA hoping to find an amazing forever home here in WA! Fasa is very charming, sweet, and extremely strong. He will require an adopter that can handle his strength and has large breed experience. We are also looking for a standalone home with a yard outside of the city as he would not do well as a city dog. He is very loving and will be an incredibly loyal companion to whoever adopts him, but he will require a strong leader who will set the proper boundaries he needs to maintain his good temperament and keep him well exposed and socialized. He has done well with other dogs in our care and would do well with another dog in the home, preferably a female. He would also do just fine as an only dog where he can soak up all the love and attention! Fasa is a beautiful boy with a lot of love to give and will make an amazing companion to whoever adopts him! He is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee $500.

Story
Meet Duke, a loving dog rescued from an abusive home in 2015. Despite his past, Duke is the most affectionate dog we’ve known, with a big heart and a love for people and attention. He’s in great shape, very puppy-like, and has no health concerns. Duke gets along wonderfully with people and dogs, thriving in our home with three kids under five and four dogs. The three non-service dogs, including Duke and Peso, get along well but show growing jealousy toward the service dog due to its special attention. Both are healthy, well-behaved, and seem younger than their age with many years left. We’re sadly considering rehoming Duke and possibly Peso, wonderful companions and a great pair. We’re heartbroken but want them to thrive. If we can’t find a home, we’ll manage, but we hope to avoid the worst case. If you can welcome these dogs, we’d be grateful.

Story
Hi! Looking to rehome our African Mastiff. He’s 4 years old and does great with adults and older kids. I say adults because we have 3 small children and he doesn’t understand his power. Simba enjoys playing ball and going for short hikes. He has alot of energy but it burns fast. He is veryy smart and does great indoor and outdoor. He’s also kennel trained and got profesional training. He’s not neutered. We are choosing to find a new home for him because we have had instances of him being aggressive with our children when they were little. He likes to test boundaries and he realizes you’re not stoping him he will take advantage of it. With that being said we’d love to find him a loving home with someone who could devote plenty of time and love Thank you! 💕💕
