This easy going girl absolutely adores attention and lives for a good snuggle. She’s happiest simply being by your side, whether that’s relaxing on the couch or following you from room to room. Piper gets along wonderfully with everyone she meets, dogs, cats, and of course, her favorite people. She has a calm, gentle nature and adjusts beautifully to her surroundings. Meet Millerl! He is the sweetest boyl! He is a 2 year old that was rescued from a breeding farm before heading to a dog meat farm in South Korea. We have partners we work with there that pull these dogs from the worst horrors imaginable. Many of these dogs start off in horiffic puppy mill type facilities on tiny rabbit cage size wire crates in complete filth. If they are not sold at 6 or 8 weeks then they either stay for a couple years to be used to breed more and then are sold off to the meat trade, or they are sold off right away. Jindo's and Tosa's are the most common meat type dogs, and are very commonly bred specifically for their meat and the meat farms also act as breeding farms until they reach a good age and weight. South Korea is one of the only countries that actually farms dogs for their meat. Restaurants will serve a dish called " bosintang ", which stands for "dog meat soup". It's a popular dish in South Korea, and is said to act as an aphrodisiac for men. Little dogs are used for elixirs and potions. The younger generation is mostly against this practice and many choose to not eat them, and we can only hope in time with education and generations of change that an end will come to this horrific trade. Miller and some of his family and friends have been flown here for a chance at a future and a real life. These are miracle dogs that they are alive today. Ari was rescued from the shelter on the day he was supposed to be euthanized. He is a special kid who just needs to be understood. He doesn't really know how to play with dogs, but tries in his weird way. Ari is 10 years old, 12lb, has and old back leg injury that didn't heal properly. He is on Prozac to help him with his anxiety and is doing well. Older kids, probably no cats, good with mellow non reactive dogs.

Dobby is a playful, affectionate, high-energy puppy who loves having fun. At home, he’s perfectly happy entertaining himself with his many, many toys—although wrestling and playing with his foster dog brother is definitely his favorite activity. He’s smart, food-motivated, eager to please, and already knows “sit,” “touch,” and “crate.” Like any young pup, Dobby is still learning his manners and will need a family committed to consistent training, exercise, enrichment, and structure.
