Story
Anyone looking for a dog that’s more like a cat? A dog that wants your comfortable house and daily food service, but wants absolutely nothing to do with you? A dog that excels at judging you from the corner and declaring with her eyes “don’t even think about approaching me”? A dog you forget is even there with you? Well let me introduce Blair! She is calm. She is quiet. She is crate and house trained. And She is absolutely terrified of humans. We don’t know Blair’s full story, but we do know whatever happened to her made her gut wrenchingly afraid of people. She must be kept on a tie out in a fenced in yard when outside or you can not get her back inside. She has to be cornered to be caught in the house and then carried outside to the tie out to get her outside. At her foster home she spends her days sitting in as far an opposite corner as she can get from her foster. She keeps a constant eye on her foster and bolts to another corner if she approaches at all. Blair will need a very special adopter. Someone who wants a project and who has the patience of a saint. Someone who is willing to spend months and even years just sitting with Blair and slowly slowly slowly helping her to learn all humans aren’t whatever it is she experienced for her first years of life. Helping her learn humans can be gentle, and kind, and patient, and become your best friend. But it truly may take years. She has been in her foster home for several months with only minuscule improvement. Things like she will now lay in a dog bed instead of next to it. She has started to occasionally come into the house on her own as long as the door is left open and her foster hides so Blair can’t see her. But even that is only sometimes, depending on Blair’s mood or the direction of the wind or who knows what!. Oddly Blair does seem to be less afraid of men and children. Blair also loves dogs and is good with cats and rabbits. She doesn’t appear to have any prey drive. And the best part about Blair is she has never shown even a hint of aggression, even in the midst of her fear. She is a gentle soul who now needs a hero. Story
Swen is a great pup, loves to sit on your lap and fall asleep. He can hold his own with other dogs, runs around like a big dog. He is a little guy, hypo allergenic and will need regular grooming. We don't know how he would do with cats since there are none here. He loves attention and will keep jumping in your lap to get petted. He is completely vetted including being neutered. If you are interested in adopting him please email us at helpapoochrecue@gmail.com. Sven adoption fee is 750.00

Story
Meet Reyzin! Breed: Miniature Poodle Rescue: Albert's Dog Lounge Age: Adult Weight: 15 pounds Fun Fact: Reyzin is made of velcro, so he sticks to you any time your lap is available Foster Home: Delavan, WI Activity Level: Low/ Moderate Friendly with: Dogs, cats, and older, respectful children Reyzin is ready for the life he always deserved. He is officially done with his former job as a puppy mill breeder. No more cages. No more being used. From here on out, it’s soft beds, full bellies, and people who think the sun rises and sets with him. Reyzin is what we lovingly call a very good boy. He’s gentle, kind, and full of quiet joy. The kind of dog who watches the world with curious eyes and a hopeful heart. His foster mom calls him her “atta boy” because Reyzin tries so hard — and succeeds — at being everything wonderful. He needs a home with another gentle dog his size to keep him company, and humans (one or many!) who are committed to couch snuggles and bedtime cuddles. In the right calm home, Reyzin could also shine as an only dog, soaking up all the love for himself. He hates to be picky, but prefers a home without shared walls, getting used to a home can be scary, so he needs a quiet one that’s standalone. A secure fenced yard would be ideal so Reyzin can safely explore the world he’s still discovering. He’s working on his potty skills and is making great progress every day, and we know he will master the outside potty routine soon (maybe after the sub-zero wind chill days?). He’s also happy to share his home with cats, because Reyzin is just that kind of gentleman. Reyzin didn’t get the start in life he deserved — but his future can be everything he dreamed of. YOU can give that to him. If you’re ready to give a mill survivor the happy ending he’s waited five years for, Reyzin is ready to meet you. Story
Meet Baby! 🌟Sweet Baby’s adoption fee has been sponsored in loving memory of Beanie and Bogey 🌟 Breed: Miniature Poodle Mix Rescue: Albert’s Dog Lounge Age: Golden Oldie Weight: 12 lbs Foster home: Lake Geneva, WI Activity level: Moderate Friendly with: dogs and adults, because of his poor vision he would not be a good fit for a home with small children. He also prefers low energy dogs who give him his space. Sleep style: Cozy on the couch Meals: Mix of wet and dry food throughout the day, he’s more of a grazer/nibbler Bark-o-meter: 4/10, barks when someone is at the door Shedding meter: 1/10 Fashion: Bow ties, he’s a formal gent Signature color/pattern: Aqua blue, really highlights his apricot curls Walk out song: Walking on Sunshine Favorite season: Summer, he gets to spend more time outdoors romping in the grass Personality: Gentle, sweet, loves to be near his people ❤️s: Exploring his yard (we imagine he would throw on some readers and study maps!), being with his people at all times, taking treats gently Baby was found as a stray in Chicago and is on to bigger and better things. He loves to act as your personal security detail, patrolling the yard to keep you safe :) He does not like to be crated but does well roaming free when you are gone. He’s working on going potty outside and almost has it down, but would benefit from a belly band if being left for a longer period. He is not a fan of being left alone and would prefer a calmer home where someone is home with him often. Neutered ✅ Microchipped ✅ Loves to be near his people and meet new friends ✅ Trusted to roam free when left alone ✅ UTD on vaccinations ✅ UTD on preventatives ✅ Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
