Story
Anyone looking for a dog that’s more like a cat? A dog that wants your comfortable house and daily food service, but wants absolutely nothing to do with you? A dog that excels at judging you from the corner and declaring with her eyes “don’t even think about approaching me”? A dog you forget is even there with you? Well let me introduce Blair! She is calm. She is quiet. She is crate and house trained. And She is absolutely terrified of humans. We don’t know Blair’s full story, but we do know whatever happened to her made her gut wrenchingly afraid of people. She must be kept on a tie out in a fenced in yard when outside or you can not get her back inside. She has to be cornered to be caught in the house and then carried outside to the tie out to get her outside. At her foster home she spends her days sitting in as far an opposite corner as she can get from her foster. She keeps a constant eye on her foster and bolts to another corner if she approaches at all. Blair will need a very special adopter. Someone who wants a project and who has the patience of a saint. Someone who is willing to spend months and even years just sitting with Blair and slowly slowly slowly helping her to learn all humans aren’t whatever it is she experienced for her first years of life. Helping her learn humans can be gentle, and kind, and patient, and become your best friend. But it truly may take years. She has been in her foster home for several months with only minuscule improvement. Things like she will now lay in a dog bed instead of next to it. She has started to occasionally come into the house on her own as long as the door is left open and her foster hides so Blair can’t see her. But even that is only sometimes, depending on Blair’s mood or the direction of the wind or who knows what!. Oddly Blair does seem to be less afraid of men and children. Blair also loves dogs and is good with cats and rabbits. She doesn’t appear to have any prey drive. And the best part about Blair is she has never shown even a hint of aggression, even in the midst of her fear. She is a gentle soul who now needs a hero. Story
Hello JR`s Friends! I am brand new rescue and I can`t wait to find my forever home. My foster mom tells me what a wonderful breed I am (10 lb miniature poodle) and that I am such a good boy. I`ve spent the first 4 years of my life being used by a breeder and now I am finally free to enjoy the good life. I am enjoying the simple comforts of living in a home and having humans that really love me. I get along well with the other dog in the house and I adore curling up into a little ball and sinking into a soft bed. Those breeding crates were hard and cold! Life is so much better in rescue and I am ready to find a family of my very own. You can watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/JrsPupsNStuffInc Ask to meet me today!! Adoption fee: $600 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an online application at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Additional details about who we are, what we do and how to adopt can be found on our website. Story
I was rescued from a breeder who didnt want to spend money on our care when we didnt sell. Thankfully, our amazing friends at The Charlie Project stepped in and gave me a second chance! Now I'm safe, loved, and settling into my foster home while I wait for my forever family to find me! Right now, Im couch surfing with my foster momma, soaking up all the cuddles I can. Im still just a baby, so Im working hard on potty training and learning all the good puppy mannersbut what I lack in experience, I make up for in love and sweetness! Were looking for a forever family who will love and care for us for our whole lives. If youre interested, please apply at thecharlieprojectdogrescue.comwe do not respond to Petfinder emails. A few important notes: We only adopt to families living in Illinois, Wisconsin, or states that directly border either IL or WI. If you rent, please have your landlord contact us directly to confirm that dogs are allowed in your home. Our adoption fee is $800, which includes microchip, current vaccines and boosters, deworming, and spay/neuter at our rescue vet. If you prefer your own vet for the spay/neuter, we will reimburse $100 once you provide proof of completion. This must be done before 6 months of age, and youll sign a contract agreeing to this. DACPT #506053 Please visit our website www.thecharlieprojectdogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

You get a 5 day trial with me in your home. Put in your application soon!*** Please help me get out! I am currently in a place where there are lots of unwanted dogs and not all of us here get the chance I might have to leave! But in order to help me out of here to catch the ride to WI on January 9th and arrive on January 10th, I need *both* a sponsor, and a WI foster home *or* a WI adopter! I have a place for now, but I can't stay here forever and I am worried. The rescue has put a hold on me to save my spot on the trip up north to WI, but now they need YOUR help to get me there - don't wait!!!   Updated: 12/28/2025 Dog Name: Olivia Sex: Female Estimated Breed: Mini Poodle/Dachshund Mix Approximate Age: 11-12 weeks Litter Name: O Litter Approximate Weight: 7-12 lbs Spay/Neuter Status: Not yet Spayed (too young) Description: Olivia and her siblings were saved in a small rural town, they are the most precious little trio! They are sweet and playful, fluffy and so friendly. They will need a family who is ready to train and raise a puppy, they also will need regularly scheduled grooming appointments. They are great with other dogs and all people including kids! They can’t wait to start the new year with their new family in WI!   Adoption Fee: $650We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time, we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. December 28, 2025, 7:34 pm
