You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.//     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee $400 plus taxHelga aka Harley is a gentle soul who has been gradually getting comfortable in her foster's home. She’s been doing so well and is starting to shine! Helga would do well in a calm home with a predictable routine.  She will need a person who can be patient and give her the time she needs to trust and build confidence. It is also important she has another self assured dog in the home to show her that she can be brave.  Helga is good with dogs and cats. She likes to run and play with her foster brother in the mornings.   Her days are spent relaxing in her favorite couch spot,  playing with her favorite toys, and sniffing grass in the backyard.  If you’re looking for someone to hang with you and watch movies, Helga is your girl.  As Helga grows more comfortable her personality begins to blossom she would love a forever home to continue becoming her best self.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   or     *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, my name is Emmi! I’m a Mountain Cur born approximately 12/27/22. We don’t know much about my past but my foster momma says she is really impressed with how well I do in my crate when she is at work, so she doesn’t think I was a stray. I have two foster brothers and 2 foster sisters. I do great with them all. I would do well in a home with other dogs that I can learn and play with. I love to play and I love to nap. I’m a typical puppy and would be a great addition to any family!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 3, 2023, 11:47 pm

Rosey is learning not to jump.  Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Working on it. Does great for 3-4 hours in crate Hello I’m  Rosey!  My foster mom says I am practically perfect. Let’s start with I love to please. Making my people happy brings me great joy. I'm told this desire helps with training. I have to admit sometimes in all my joy I jump on people. I’m working on that.     One thing you must know about me is I LOVE running and walking with my people. I'm a running machine! Weekly I run 10 miles & walk 15 miles & thrive for more . I pull on my leash a bit due to how much I love going out.  I’m working on this! The perfect human for me would be an active one. I would adore a large fenced yard to run & burn off energy but that isn't a requirement.  I thrive at other things too! To name a few:  sleeping on a dog bed, I go in my kennel, I’m 100% potty trained and can easily make it through a night or workday before I ask to go out potty. But please note, I would do best with a work from home family. I know all the most important commands - sit , stay, down, leave it, come, and shake. I'm not all energy, I love to snuggle too.  I will keep you warm and loved as you watch tv, read a book, or sleep.     If you are looking for a practically perfect companion I would love to meet you!   Love, Rosey   Adoption Fee: $395Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME? Story
Meet Henry! He's a curious dog who loves to explore and get belly rubs. He's as sweet as can be with humans, but tends to get pushy with other dogs if they let him. He does play nicely with several dogs at the rescue with no issues, so he needs to meet any potential playmates. He needs boundaries and training like any other dog, he's intelligent and eager to please his humans. He's house trained and adores his human. Henry is about 18 months old and weighs 55 pounds. He'd love to be part of an active home that's looking for a companion for hikes or adventures!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as ''Out of Town'' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.October 3, 2023, 10:40 pm

Disclaimer: I am in Texas. I can be transported once adopted. Transport cost is $230. My name is Clyde, I was rescued from the river with my sister (Bonnie). Someone had just decided to dump us both. Despite my rough beginning I'm a very sweet boy, Foster mom says I love lots of attention and pets. I also love snuggling on the couch if you'll let me. I'd do best in a home with other dogs (or puppies). If you think you are that person please apply to adopt me from my foster home in TX.*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
It’s hard to be spooked when you’re looking this cute.Hi, my name is Nutella! I’m new here from Alabama. I am equally obsessed with my foster momma, dad, and siblings. I live with two resident dogs and a cat along with another foster puppy. I may only have 75% of the legs they do but still have 100% of the fun!! My momma says I have no problem playing with the big dogs. My Foster mom says I still have that adorable puppy energy, am good at going into my kennel, and I am sure to do all of my business outside.Don’t let my 3 legs worry you, I get around like my 4-legged friends and the humans say I’m all healed up! I had my amputation around the end of April. I haven’t mastered the long walk concept YET but I’m practicing. I like short walks with lots of breaks, but I know I’ll gain stamina as my surgery dates get further away. Momma also thinks it’s so cute, whenever I shake, my entire body shakes with me. I sometimes stumble without my 4th leg but I don’t let it get me down! I sleep in this big bed and LOVE to snuggle. When Mom and Dad are at work I go right in my kennel. I can sit and come when called. Mom says I have the sweetest smile of all time! Mom and Dad keep saying what a good girl I am and how proud of me they are. I would love a forever family of my own. I can't wait to meet you.Do we have the black dog for you, find your #1 Boo!For Applications received through 10/31/2023, Warrior Dog Rescue is taking $200 off of the adoption fee of select black dogs. This is reflected in the adoption fee shown below. *Training discounts do not apply*--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedures completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $325To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.//     Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.org Adoption Fee $300 plus taxAre you looking to add to your family? Pick ME! I am a 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier / Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (short coat) AKA: Staffy..Pitty. I am looking for my FUR ever home, everyone that meets me wants to take me home and says how lovable I am. I have been in my foster home for a month and I am up to date on all shots and neutered. I am great with kids, love walks, housetrained and just love snuggle time. I would be great in a home with one other dog and my people.  I do not like kennels and I don’t get into things so my foster mom doesn’t make me go in a kennel. Here is my back story: Mobley and his best friend found themselves sitting in the shelter after thier owner moved. Sadly Mobley's best friend was riddled with cancer and crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after they went to the pound. They came from Horrific conditions and lived in their own feces and urine, which is why Mobley has limited vision. So Mobley sat alone in a crowded shelter and possibly having to pick dogs to be euthanized due to space. He shutdown and gave up. Well MARS was not about to let that happen! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Update September 29th:  After a couple wonderful months with Rosa, her most notable characteristic is her darling charm.  Her eyes are always full of love, she gently bobs her head and lifts her chin with each and every pet. She’s just so curious about exploring the outdoors.  One of my favorite things to do has been finding a good book to read and seeing her poke around outside.  Rosa has been an excellent friend to my resident dogs. She’s fully crate trained and house broken.  The past couple weeks, Rosa has loved going on long walks where she gets a chance to parade up and down the road I live on.  Rosa has been great with all my nephews and neighbor kids and she loves relaxing in my back seat while we go on adventures.  Rosa is a very sweet Catahoula mix born 6/25/21.  She is excellent in the house, she loves to unwind in her kennel and is completely house broken!  She’s been a sweetheart with my resident dogs and very loving to any new people she meets.  We’ve been working on some commands and Rosa has been a quick learner.  Whenever we drive anywhere she’s very relaxed, yet she’s a playful, tail wagging companion. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. BB enjoys walks and the leash but needs practice learning how to walk in a straight line next to her human - as a puppy, there is so much to smell and explore!   BB seems to struggle with transitions (any major life transitions like new home, new schedule, etc.) and will bark until she realizes you will ignore her barking. BB has yet to learn her kennel is a safe space and spends time in an xpen when her foster family is out of the house instead.  She will need continued guidance and practice learning how to walk on a leash as well as kenneling. She is close to being potty trained. If you’re looking for a puppy who is full of energy and love, take a closer look at sweet BB!
