He's a beautiful boy that loves snuggling and belly rubs once he gets to know you. He's shy in new situations and when meeting new people but warms up quickly. He loves playing with toys, chewing on bully sticks and pig ears, and will do pretty much anything for a treat! He's also a pretty quiet boy and rarely barks. Clyde needs to have a home with a fenced-in yard and no cats since he has some prey drive and startles easily at loud and unfamiliar sounds. He loves being with his humans but would do best in a home without small children since he is mouthy during petting and play and jumps up when he gets excited. Clyde is crate trained and potty-trained on a schedule. It would be great if Clyde found a home with another medium/large dog to play with and help him with his confidence. We're currently working on leash skills with him since he gets nervous on walks but having another dog next to him makes him feel more safe and secure. If you just give him a little bit of time and patience, Clyde will be a great companion to the right family! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxHelga aka Harley is a sweet, gentle soul who has gradually been getting comfortable in her foster's home. She has been doing so well and is starting to shine! Once she knows you, Helga will show her love for you by doing tippy taps when you walk in the door, snuggling with you at night, and maybe even kissing your face when you wake up. She is also so smart, she recently  learned her first command ‘touch’ and is ready  to learn more!  Helga is good with dogs and cats. She is most energetic in the mornings when she likes to run and play with her foster brother after breakfast.  Her days are spent relaxing in her favorite couch spot,  playing with her toys, and enjoying time in  the backyard. When the weather is nice she goes for walks by the river. If you’re looking for someone to hang with you and watch movies, Helga is your girl.  Helga would do well in a calm home with a predictable routine.  She will need a person who can be patient and give her the time she needs to trust and build confidence. It is also important she has another self assured dog in the home to show her that she can be brave. Helga would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and no shared walls. Come and meet this wonderful pup, she would love a forever home to continue becoming her best self. *Helga would do best in a home with securely fenced yard and no shared walls.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.   //

Hey, I’m Jake! I’m a Mountain Cur mix born approximately 11/20/23. I’m just a little guy but I’m a little feisty as well. I am working on all the puppy training in my foster home including potty training, kennel training and house training along with a few tricks. I love to play and cuddle. I love love love playing with my dogs but also sleeping in my dog bed. I live with a 55 pound excited pup who I play with well for being such a little guy. I also do well with the cat. I am working on leash walking. I can be a little timid at first but warm up super fast! I would be a good fit for any home! I would do well with kids as well as long as they are okay with my puppy playfulness. I can’t wait to meet you! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Welcome Zeus to CCPAL Foster Program. Zeus is a 18-month old 70 pound Plot Hound/Medium Terrier blend dog. He was abandonded by his owners when they moved and left him at the house they moved from. He was tied up to the porch. Good Samaritans spotted him and were feeding him and giving him water until they realized the owners weren’t coming back. Zeus is now in foster home waiting for his new forever home. He is great on a leash and not leash reactive. He is good in a crate and he likes car rides. He is attentive, smart and potty trained. He is overall a wonderful dog and is not food aggressive or reactive with his bowl. He would make a wonderful outdoor enthusiast a great companion. He would make a perfect man dog. He looks tough but he is not at all how he looks. He would make a great family dog if the man works out of the house. His looks would make the family feel secure even if he loves everyone. He is a lower shedding dog with a nice soft coat. He is healthy, vaccinated and neutered. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org/ See his cute video.
